The package features: A 2m tall Interactive Bubble Tube with water treatment fluid and wall bracket. The bubble tube is supplied with a soft padded wireless switch, which features four coloured switch pads. When the user presses each of the colours, this dictates the colour of the tube. The UV Reactive Fibre Optic Harness supplied includes 100 strands at 3m long, along with a colour changing light source to allow the fibres to gently colour scroll. This is supplied with a Cream Beanbag. Thread the harness through the hole in the centre of the beanbag to allow the users to sit and interact with the fibres as they gently scroll through a range of colours. 2 Acrylic Mirrors which are for wall mounting behind the tube and plinth in the corner of the room, which provide an amazing heightening of the effect of the tube itself. The mirrors are shatterproof acrylic to ensure safety. The amazing Infinity Tunnel! Supplied for wall mounting, the Infinity Tunnel includes rows of LEDs which are reflected to give the impression of a tunnel of colour changing light! The tunnel includes an inbuilt control panel which features 16 programmes of different colour changing patterns. The Fanlight Panel which has a fan of different sections of light, along with an in built control panel, and 16 programmes to choose from! An in built LED light source will allow the curtain to gently colour scroll to provide a great effect that the user can really get up close with. A 1.22m UV fitting is supplied to allow the Fibre Optics to glow under the UV light. Installation available at additional cost. Differentiating for Inclusion: Target Ladders This powerful series of practical books fully supports the SENCo and class teacher in implementing the 2014 SEND Code of Practice in order to close the gap between children with SEN and their peers. The Target Ladders books provide an overview of the range of difficulties experienced by children with a particular SEN, enabling the busy teacher to get a better understanding of the child’s learning priorities. Photocopiable materials include checklists to help you identify children who may be in need of extra help, and templates for records of progress and monitoring sheets. Target Ladders focus on what a child can do, rather than what they cannot do, in order to identify next steps, presenting ‘small steps’ targets for children and suggested strategies for achieving these targets. They provide the structure and flexibility to recognise that every child is different and will follow their own pathway through the targets.

Pupils with spelling difficulties often experience problems accessing the curriculum and lose confidence with writing. The ACE Spelling Dictionary breaks through these problems, taking away the frustration of hunting through a conventional dictionary and actually improving users’ spellings through increasing their understanding of common spelling patterns and unusual features. The Dictionary is designed for writers of all ages who need to check spellings, and is intended for use in educational settings and at home. The fourth edition of the ACE Spelling Dictionary has expanded user’s notes and thousands of new words, including more alternative spellings, plural forms and ‘sound-alike’ pairs and groups than before. The darker blue long vowel section makes it easy to open the book near the wanted page. It has an up-to-date vocabulary and provides full ‘how to use’ guidance for new and experienced users. Using the unique ACE Spelling Index, users need only think about how a word sounds to find out how to spell it. By simply identifying the first vowel sound, the speller is directed to the page where the problem word is found. The easy-to-use reference system will tempt users to use more interesting words in their writing. Both spelling patterns and irregularities are highlighted in the dictionary so that pupils learn to spell incidentally. Contains 328 pages. 176 Ă— 250mm. Children’s ability to understand and act upon spoken language is a crucial skill in terms of their development and education. However, children who struggle to process such information are often difficult to detect, which can harm their progress. This book has been written by Liz Baldwin, author of I Hear With My Little Ear, to help you address this difficult area. 6. Visual Memory Skills Visual memory skills are so important in the classroom context: they are an essential element of reading, spelling and retaining all sorts of information. This book will be a fantastic resource to boost children’s visual recall skills, and therefore their ability to effectively access the curriculum. Children will love the imaginative tasks, and won’t even realise they are practising this important skill as they work through these challenging activities. The book is divided into handy sections, each of which is designed to improve a different aspect of visual memory, such as remembering objects, object details and elements of objects like colour and pattern. The second part of the book explores sequential memory for objects, letters and digits; and object details such as orientation and size. The book focuses on higher order skills as it progresses, and the tasks become increasingly challenging within each section. This enables children either to work through the book in order or to pinpoint a particular section they wish to focus on. Containing 48 pages of appealing activities, this book is ideal for children aged 4+ and older children with particular needs in this area. Kaos World Chronicles - A structured literacy scheme for KS3-4 students This reading scheme is designed for secondary students who have struggled to engage with literacy or who have gaps in their learning. The Stories There are a series of high-interest, low-ability short stories in 2 versions – Easy and Standard. Books 1-10 progress from RA 5.5 to 6.2 in the easy versions and 6 to 7.2 in the standard versions, based on the Flesch-Kincaid Reading Levels. 2 versions of the story allow for differentiation and enable more students to access whole-group work. The stories are set in a futuristic post-apocalyptic world where society has broken down. They follow 2 main characters, Travis and Spanna, as they battle to survive in a dangerous, unpredictable world. Each book continues the story on from the one before, which helps to maintain the students’ interest in reading and build up their enthusiasm for literacy. The stories develop in complexity and deal with key contemporary issues such as violence, bullying, gang-membership, risk-taking and love. Each story also contains a list of tricky words at the back to reinforce the more difficult vocabulary found in the book, and the number of words on each page is highlighted so students can record their progress and feel a sense of achievement as their fluency improves. Teacher’s books and accompanying CDs provide electronic versions of worksheets, monitoring sheets, records of progress, target sheets and certificates to help motivate and reward. Each reading book is A5 with 24 pages and black and white illustrations.
