HBR5 842 MOTORE N. 1652*012135* ENGINE NO. 1652*012135*La HBR 5 era una piccola berlinetta con carrozzeria in vetroresina, prodotta in un limitato numero di esemplari e utilizzata con buoni risultati anche in ambito sportivo. L’esemplare in questo lotto, iscritto sotto l’egida della casa madre, ha partecipato a due edizioni della Mille Miglia, nel 1956 (piazzandosi 6° in classe) e 1957. La sua storia sportiva si è svolta poi in Francia. Al volante, sempre, Gerard Parmentier. La storia, sportiva e non dell’auto è ben testimoniata con documenti e foto d’epoca. La vettura è annoverata tra le Automotive Masterpieces ed è pubblicata nel III volume della collana Mille Miglia’s Chassis, edito da Automotive Masterpieces, corredata da immagini rare. L’auto compare nelle scene del film “Ferrari”, di Michael Mann. La vettura è stata sottoposta ad un recente restauro, documentato, che ne ha ripristinato l’originale livrea color argento.
The HBR 5 was a small berlinetta with fiberglass bodywork, produced in a limited number of specimens and used with good results also in sports. The model in this lot, registered under the aegis of the parent company, participated in two editions of the Mille Miglia, in 1956 (finishing 6th in class) and 1957. Its sporting history then took place in France. At the wheel, always, Gerard Parmentier. The history of the car, sporty and otherwise, is well evidenced by documents and photos from the era. The car is counted among the Automotive Masterpieces and is published in the third volume of the Mille Miglia’s Chassis series, published by Automotive Masterpieces, accompanied by rare images. The car appears in the scenes of Michael Mann’s film “Ferrari”. The car has undergone a recent, documented restoration which has restored its original silver livery.
