Architect
Detailed-Planning, London, United Kingdom work experience
As an architect specialized in domestic schemes like extensions and loft conversions, my work encompasses various exciting phases. During site surveys, I immerse myself in understanding the existing structure and identifying opportunities for creative design solutions.
In the design phase, I collaborate closely with clients, transforming their ideas into functional and aesthetically pleasing concepts. Throughout the planning phase, I engage with local councils, ensuring that the proposals comply with regulations and seeking necessary approvals.
The technical phase involves producing detailed construction drawings and specifications, where I work closely with structural engineers to ensure the structural integrity of the design.
With effective communication and coordination, I facilitate seamless integration of third-party inputs, delivering successful projects that enhance and transform living spaces to meet the unique needs and aspirations of clients.
Case Study: 81 Lakenheath, London, N14 4RT
During my year at LHC Design, I worked as a graphic designer and architectural assistant.
The graphics work included the creation of illustrative drawings supporting the urban design, landscape and architecture departments as well as the creation of informative display panels and brochures using the Adobe Suite software.
I have been involved in the design work for various public and private architectural projects, the main project being ‘West Carclaze’, a new village in Cornwall that will include around 500 houses based around a commercial centre.
I contributed to the design of the 25 house types during the planning phase and then spent the following 6 months focusing on the design development of some of the public buildings.
2011-2020
The project consists of three one-storey semi detached houses each featuring a two storey studio, placed on a sloping plot in Castellarano.
The aim is to create a semi-private central area that leads to the entrances of the units, which are located at different heights and accessible by ramps. This court can be used for socialising and creating a small lively neighbourhood as well, whilst the independent units are private and composed of minimalistic white blocks that create space for patios in their layout.
The architecture envisages a break away from the surrounding farm, through the strong contrast of its white walls and fences with the surrounding green countryside.

A new touristic waterfront of Barcelona: the reorganisation of the infrastructure.
Thesis project
Despite the dramatic growth in the cruise sector that has occurred since the 1990s, the port of Barcelona has failed to evolve quickly enough, resulting today in a city unadapted to the demands of the continuous flow of tourists coming from the cruise ships. The ‘Moll de Barcelona’, a large bordering area between the port and “Las Ramblas”, the principal touristic road, houses small docks that are no longer adequate for the new cruise ships.
Based on future predictions, the project will oversee the removal of port functions in the Moll and its neighbouring areas and their inclusion within the metropolis will spread south towards the ‘Moll Adossat’, the principal current docking point for cruises. This will make possible the creation of new stops possible. The new areas of the city will therefore be equipped with a suitable infrastructure system to aid tourism at the port, which would compliment the already attractive surroundings. The area will thus become a crucial part of the city, one that connects to the main stations of the metropolis, guaranteeing the quick movement from one end of the Spanish city to the other.

The area in questions is in Bologna, north-west of the historic centre and not far from the central train station. The lot is home to many different buildings abandoned for over 20 years: the planning concerns the revitalisation of one of the warehouses by giving it a new function utilizing new technologies.
The building, completely empty on the inside and made of brick, will be used to create a system that revolves around the production, regulation and sale of fruit and vegetables.
The main section will be divided from the non-load-bearing walls on the exposed façade to the south, to allow the sun to reach the gardens inside. Facilities like storage and toilets are located in the northern part of the building, while in the centre the main activities are held, organised in 2 levels. downstairs some sliding modules ,which can be joined or separated, create different size rooms allowing activities like educational lessons and public markets. Upstairs, a restaurant using 0km products from the allotments and the hydroponic greenhouse annex make this project self sufficient.

New multifunctional tower
Collaborator: Giulia Canale
The project is developed in the northern area of Reggio Emilia, 4 km from the historic centre and the neighbouring Autostrada del Sole, as well as the new high speed train station, designed by the famous architect Santiago Calatrava, and three bridges also designed by him. The entire area is in fact the centre of numerous planning studies and development of part of the city.
The building, which takes advantage of steel technology, despite its reduced plan dimension, will aim to become a new landmark of the city, establishing itself as part of the fluid form of the adjacent infrastructure. The brise-soleil, a characterising element of the project, protect the outside of the tower from solar irradiation, in addition to creating the wavy movement of the visible façades seen from the motorway. The fifth and final floor will be made up of a panoramic room to enjoy the view of the surrounding architecture and the historic centre, while the third and fourth floors house innovative sleeping boxes, principally for the users of the Mediopadana station and the motorway. The first two floors offer public services and informationin relationed to events in the city and to the mediopadana station.
The response to the Emilia earthquake in 2012
Collaborators: Enrico Zetti - Jelena Vukcevic
The proposed intervention takes place south of the historic center of Ferrara, in the area occupied by the primary school E. Mosti, rendered unusable by the earthquake that hit Emilia in May 2012, and in the adjacent public car park. The project involves the construction of a new school complex equipped with a gym and a library, which can also be used for extra curricular activities. In addition, the current parking spaces will be moved to the basement to make room for shops and catering activities. In the old building, following the structural strengthening, amenities to support the new school and a cafeteria will be placed.
All the project blocks are mainly developed below the ground, producing a hypogeal athmosphere and allowing the creation of a public park that consist of the whole area, taking advantage of the green and accessible roofs of the new buildings: these are shaped like “plates” that recall the catastrophic event to which the site was subjected. The plan was designed according to the theory of “desire paths”, these pedestrian paths become the generative element of the project ensuring great accessibility within the area and producing a pattern which could be expanded along via Bologna and the surrounding areas.
