ilipino-born American rapper and member of international group “Black Eyed Peas”, Apl de Ap gives back and shares his blessing through a charity, Apl Foundation.

Apl told Pep.PH, “"I was one of those kids that was helped out, was sponsored and brought to the U.S., and became a Black Eyed Peas."

“You know, I think beyond the success and accolades that I’ve received, this is what brings me joy.”

ingdong Dantes announced their first born's gender through an Instagram post last June 27.

Dingdong confirmed the baby's gender by posting a photo showing two pink bibs.

The "Royal" couple announced that they were expecting their baby last April.

Marian, was pulled out of the show The Rich Man's Daughter and was replaced by Rhian Ramos.

‘OH MY G’S’ JULIA BUENCAMINO COMMITS SUICIDE, FANS SADDENED

ulia Louise Buencamino, who played the best friend of Janelle Salvador in the popular daily morning show “Oh My G!” aired over ABS-CBN, committed suicide when she was found hanging in her room on July 7, ABS-CBN reported.

Julia, 15, is the daughter of character actors Nonie and Shamaine Buencamino.

PO3 Victorio Guerrero, case-officer, said that Julia Louis was found hanging by a household help at around 8 p.m. .

Julia was rushed to the Cardinal Santos Medical Center in San Juan but was declared dead on arrival.

On July 6, Julia posted on her Instagram a photo showing a close-up of her and a cat with caption “furry kisses.”

he lovebirds from rival schools Blue Eagle Kiefer Ravena and De La Salle Lady Spiker Mika Reyes have parted ways, according to a report by pep.ph on July 3.

“Hindi na kami,” Ravena was quoted to have told reporters during a press conference for a new television show.

He said he was in no position to talk about the issue. “It’ll be better if it comes from her,” added Ravena, dubbed “the phenom” for being the team captain of the Ateneo Blue Eagles.

In early June, news swirled that the couple has “cooled off” but Ravena was quick to dismiss the breakup rumor, as he was busy preparing for the SEA Games in Singapore held in mid-June.

Ravena was part of the Gilas Cadets who won gold in this year’s SEA Games.

Carrasco answered, "I always wondered about that. My father is a painter but when I think about it I don't think it came from a talent that transmitted from parents to child. Back then when I started drawing, my drawing wasn't particularly good, it was simply average. So I do not believe in inherited talent transfer. I loved art and especially drawing. I draw a lot, for hours and hours so I get better from persisting. Maybe I inherited my interest for art from my father after all."

Christine, 27, on the other hand is a Pharmacy Technician but has started modeling in 2014.

Asked if modeling really was a dream, Christine said that it was not "initially" a dream as she is only 5'3", contrary to the "model stereotypes", i.e. tall, slim, perfect female, no flaws. But she was not discouraged and thanks to her boyfriend and a friend for pushing and encouraging her.

ne is French and the other is Filipino, both in Canada and had collaborated for an interestingcum-artistic photoshoot that's pleasing to the eyes, melancholic and dramatic one would think hard to decipher what it means...

The artist is Frederic carrasco and his canvass, Filipino-model 14

Frederic, 39, has always been into art, as stated in his Facebook default photo caption, "As long as I Can remember I always drew."

Christine shared, "modeling was a goal, not a dream; something to strive for but not get my hopes up in case I did not find success or acceptance in the industry. But I guess the parts of it that I would attribute to be part of a dream are when people contact you to work together on opportunities that you thought were beyond your capabilities. I went into modeling knowing I had to humble myself and not to expect too much; I am a realist with modeling because of my setbacks from the standard requirements of a model. So I guess you can say any opportunity that I did not ever imagine I would have (like being interviewed for this magazine!) is a dream!! If I were 5'7" or 5'8" then sure modeling would definitely be a dream!!"

side, she too has hypo-pigmentation, a skin problem where it loses its color, but as mentioned she was not discouraged, and that's evident.

Christine added, "I have actually wanted to do modeling since I was in high school, but did not have the confidence. I remember watching shows such as America's Next Top Model and thinking "These girls have their own struggles, flaws, and difficulties... but if they can do it then so can I!" After a while I realized that some girls are in-demand because of their uniqueness. Sometimes those unique qualities are seen as flaws or weird in the world we live in... But in the modeling industry, unique qualities are what sets you apart from other models and makes you stand out."

So instead of hiding in the dark and fretting about her flaws, Christine did the opposite and used those "flaws" as her strength, her uniqueness. Owe it to a good-positive mindset and attitude.

Christine, basically, is THE "ATTAGIRL!" Frederic is into minimalism. Shares that he's learned to be a minimalist when he left France in 2001 and travelled for 10 years.

He owes his focus to the philosophy of minimalism. Adding, "By suppressing what is not essential, I'm able to do more what I love. I try to work with the fewest materials or products possible without sacrificing quality."

On the designs of the temporary tattoos, Frederic said that the designs "depends, sometimes I create original,

sometimes I do what the client wants me to do, and sometimes I reproduce and adapt art from other artists. In that sense I am flexible. For my clients, I do not force them to get what I want; I do what they ask for."

INK, his organization and/or a collective of artists was established in Vancouver in 2012 and it develops quality tattoo products and services.

Frederic added, "At INK you will find make-up artists, photographers, hair stylists, and models. We all bring our skills to achieve a result.

We want to make a difference by bringing temporary tattoos to the next level and for that reason we do not focus on profit, instead we try our best to deliver quality work."

Frederic had told me that he discovered Christine "randomly" through a Face book group about models and photographers.

"After seeing her in some photoshoots, I was so impressed by her unique and natural beauty that I got in touch with her. I shared some pinterest boards with reference pictures with her so she could have an idea about the theme.

For that photoshoot I wanted to focus on simplicity, so I did those trees on her back, extremely basic, as I wanted to do something delicate and minimal to compliment her natural beauty."

With the help of Sebastien, the photographer, and Elody, the make-up artist, their vision, imagination and peg were beautifully executed and made.

Frederic concluded, "Christine is easy to work with and [is] very professional."

Veteran actress Lucita Soriano passes away at 74

eteran actress Lucita Soriano has passed away, her son posted on Facebook. She was 74.

Photo from Garry Clint Adriano Garcia’s Facebook account “Thank You Lord for the life you have given my mom here on earth. She is now at peace and will be coming back home to You. Thank You Lord for your kindness!!” said Garry Clint Adriano Garciano on Thursday, July 9.

Her remains was laid at the Jesus Our Salvation Ministry in Quezon City and the wake was made open to the public on Thursday night, Garciano said.

She was then transferred on Tuesday morning, July 14, to her ancestral home in Pateros.

In 1966, she was nominated for FAMAS Best Supporting Actress for the movie “Dugo Ang Kulay Ng Pag-ibig.”

Soriano was a runner-up in the 1964 beauty pageant, Miss Philippines Press Photography (PPP), and has appeared in more Six years later, she won the Quezon City Film Festival Best than 200 movies and television shows.

Bieber’s graphic video shun, goes to a religious meet

T

he “Baby” singing superstar Justin Bieber’s graphic music video “Where Are You Know?” flocked criticisms following the use of “inappropriate” symbols or figures.

“Lol i pause and the art was redhead then there’s a dick next to him. Lol haters gonna hate,” wrote Syyhaabudin Radie on the release of the video on Youtube on June 29.

The clip showed Bieber covered by hundreds of fans’ doodles and symbols, including what few believed was a phallic symbol piercing through his torso.

Said inappropriate symbols can be seen at 2:09 on the 4-minute 11 seconds music video, it showed a drawing of a penis pierced through Bieber’s back.

As per the news reports, Bieber and his collaborators Jack Ü asked fans to sketch video stills at the Seventh Letter Gallery in Los Angeles, which would later be incorporated in the music video.

“Where Are Ü Now” peaked at number 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts earlier this year.

On You Tube, the video has already been viewed more than 4 million times.

“We are being overwhelmed, in a good way, by the success of “Where Are Ü Now” with Justin Bieber, so with the video we wanted to just take it back to the beginning of the record & essentially create an ode to our fans. Doing what we do, it’s entirely all about the fans,” wrote Jack Ü who is composed of producers Skrillex and Diplo.

The pair also said the song was recorded

by Bieber during a “rough time in his life”.

While most fans praised the artsy video, a few keen ones observed some symbols or figures were inappropriate.

ollywood is in “grief” upon learning that actor Ben Affleck and wife Jennifer Garner are divorcing.

Ben and Jennifer’s “Splitsville” was announced by People.com on June 30.

“After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce,” the couple said in a statement.

The announcement came exactly 10 years after the celebrity couple got married.

“We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to coparenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time. This will be our only comment on this private, family matter. Thank you for understanding,” the statement added.

Charice plans to marry girlfriend in the future Posted on mb.com.ph June 2013 when the singer introduced Quijano as her girlfriend.

ANILA – With the legalization of same sex marriage in the United States is still a hot topic, Charice revealed that she also has plans of marrying her partner, Alyssa Quijano, in the future.

Before they got into a relationship, Charice and Quijano were former rivals in various singing competitions. The two had already faced off several times in amateur singing contests when they became competitors in the ABS-CBN talent search “Little Big Star” in 2005.

Speaking with ABS-CBN Europe News Bureau after her show in Paris, Charice said she wants to settle down with Quijano but that is not yet their main priority for now.

They met again until seven years later when Quijano joined the singing contest “The X Factor Philippines,” with Charice as one of the celebrity judges.

It was during the Kapamilya program when they had a chance to resume communication.

Despite mixed reactions from the public when they announced their relationship, the two decided to stay together.

At one point, even Charice’s mother Raquel strongly disapproved of Quijano for her daughter. It was only in late 2014 when Charice renewed ties with her family, ending her year-long rift with her mom.

Charice, her mom and Quijano are now in good terms.

“Kung plans lang, may plans talaga but dates or anything, wala pa. Siyempre nandoon pa kami sa focused muna kami sa kung anong ginagawa namin ngayon.

Trabaho muna, ipon muna,” she said.

Charice said she wants to give Quijano the wedding she deserves.

What you’ll need: 1 medium chopped onion 3 cloves crushed garlic 1 pack oyster mushrooms in strips 2 cups pepper leaves 3 cups organic chicken broth (low sodium) 1 tsp. Fish sauce Dash of pepper Himalayan salt

Rice Creek Boat Club’s Olympic Sprint paddlers are in Regina Saskatchewan for their Canada Day Regatta. Lots of paddlers, lots of races, new opportunities! It was a fun weekend!
