Situated in the middle of the city with its characteristic urban features (buildings, shops, tarmac, roads and cars), is the botanical garden of Lisbon. It is unlike anything else for it represents another place; a place that is far away and idyllic and the source of endless scientific wonder.
This book joins a series of photographs and a text inspired by the walking and exploration of the area bordering and separating the gardens from the city.
