Letter from the Director Dear FiftyForward Turner Center Membership: Thank you so much for your hospitality during my time as Interim Director. You have been helpful to the staff team during this transitional time. I have enjoyed being with you and plan to continue to visit you. The executive team at FiftyForward is currently interviewing candidates for the Director position and will be inviting some center members to participate in the final interviews. I will be leaving Nashville for a seasonal job in Mt. Rainier National Park, starting in April. Our hope is that we will have a new director prior to my departure. Break Bread and Hear a Story of Faith Karen Trotter Elley is a freelance writer whose work has appeared in newspapers and magazines, including the Christian Science Monitor, the Seattle-Post Intelligencer, the Tennessean and the Toledo Blade. For more than 12 years, she was on the staff of BookPage as a production designer and writer. Karen lives in Nashville with her husband Michael. Chicken Soup for the Soul: Touched by an Angel is her first book contribution. She will be here at the center as a special guest speaker at our March potluck.
