15 Birthday Potluck Kelley Shannon Essential Oils 22 Red Hat trip
It’s funny how working with essential oils has become all the rage these days, when essential oils are the oldest form of medicine and cosmetic known to man. With more than 90 essential oils on the market, it’s a pretty large topic. Our fitness instructor, Kelley Shannon, is going to keep it simple this April 15th, and introduce us to three of them: lavender, lemon and peppermint.
Kelley will also discuss the importance of using essential oils carefully, and how to use these three in safe amounts. Let’s learn why this ancient tradition is making such a comeback at Potluck this month. Lunch is at 11:30, and the program will begin about noon. The Center provides the main course. Please bring a side dish.
You may have noticed that our new tracking system is up and running on the front desk computer. Your old membership card should still work on the new computer. It is important for us to keep up with how
many people come to the Center, and what you come here for. This system really helps us do that. Please scan your card every time you come to the Center — and feel free to ask for help. If you don’t have a membership card, or if your old one does not work, or has been lost, please see Pat.

The Red Hatters will stay in Williamson County this month, with a trip to Primm Historic Park on Moores Lane. The park is the site of two National Register properties: Boiling Springs Academy, established
as a school in 1830, and a prehistoric Native American Mound Site (900-1500 A.D.). The group will also do a drive-by tour of several historic homes in Brentwood, and conclude the outing with lunch in Martha and
Bill Wolfe’s home. What a fabulous day! The van will leave the Center at 9:30 am. Van fee is $5.
