S STORY OF SUCCESS

Spring of 1994, second year architecture…, Wissam El Akkawi didn’t realize that a coincidence could be the beginning of a journey filled with adventure, sacrifice, and ensured with success. The beginning was with a simple manual balloons printing machine bought from a friend who carried it all the way from Iraq after the war.

He managed between his studies and architectural projects to advertise his humble project between companies who preferred this item and thought of it as a good promotional idea.

He advanced his projects and entered the wholesale market with stands developed to carry the packages of “Fiesta balloons”, the first trademark and product launched, and it was a good idea and a successful start. The Lebanese Supermarkets were the first customers.

The third of July 1997, witnessed a new development. His first intuition of buying the Helium gas cylinder and decorate with balloons a family wedding that took place in Al Meshref country club opened a new path in the event industry and pushed Fiesta to the next step.

In the year 1998, Wissam El Akkawi graduated as an Architect with honor and before he got enrolled in the military service, he headed to Chicago to enroll in the balloon IBAC decorating training program and then to Malaysia searching for latex balloon sources.

During June of the same year, and during the military service, he opened the first Balloons shop in Beirut. And from that day onwards things got carried on …The achievements and the accomplishments keep on happening as long as our ambitions are limitless. Fiesta is a success story that motivates and encourages a lot of ambitious people who decided to take matters into their hands and see what faith has made for them.

Fiesta was a golden achievement in a grey era. Despite the critical economic and political situation in Lebanon and the MENA region, Fiesta still holds outstanding records for hundreds of big projects, both locally and internationally, in various fields in the Event industry. We strive to uphold the confidence of every investor in the field, prove that success doesn’t depend on resources only, that it requires motivation, persistence, and belief.

Fiesta is a distinctive project that was first launched in 1994, and it all started with a balloon printing machine. Its success was never about the machine itself, neither the ink nor the balloons. It was always about a dream beyond limits.

The diverse products and services, the mature concept, solid identity, and professional management are what distinguished Fiesta Holding and insured continuity. This in return led to the creation of a successful business.

ARCHITECT WISSAM J. EL AKKAWI FOUNDER & CEO

Born in Beirut in September 1974, a Lebanese entrepreneur, nominated As Businessman of the year 2017 for the Lebanese Brilliant award, and known for co-founding “Fiesta Group” which owns the global trademark FIESTA since 1994 and developed on March 2021 to FIESTA GROUP HOLDING IFZA,

Holds a Postgraduate Diploma / Master of Architecture from the Lebanese University in Beirut since 1998.

He is a member of The Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Beirut, The Lebanese Toy Traders Association, Beirut Celebrations Association, “ILEA” International Live Events Association, as well as a member of the LFA (Lebanese Franchise Association).

1994 was the start : FIESTA BALOONS, the first balloon shop in the Middle East, then the business started growing and the shop became a company and the company turned on year 2000 to a group of services in Lebanon FIESTA GROUP SARL, by adding departments and workshops for Fireworks, Pyrotechnics, entertainment, and Styrofoam décor, serving the event industry in Lebanon and the whole region.

In 2011 he developed an engineering and themed contracting company called ATRIUM ARCHITECTURE, and later in 2017 a branch and factory were launched in UAE, as well as becoming a partner and member of the board of the Pascal Intermediate School in Beirut, Lebanon.

In 2013, he founded the company EVENTS & BEYOND in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Franchising the Concept Fiesta.

In 2015, he founded the AKKAWI FAMILY LEAGUE and was honored by the Entreprenergy Summit in Beirut.

In 2016, he developed IGUAL GULF FIREWORKS in Abu Dhabi and launched Fiesta Branch in Dubai.

In 2017, he was nominated Businessman of the Year and Awarded with the BRILLIANT LEBANESE AWARD.

In 2018, he took Fiesta to another level and got the company certified by ISO9001,

In 2019, he founded ARTBEAT EVENTS and MUZE ENTERTAINMENT in KSA and UAE.

In 2020, he launched a new business line, out of Fiesta’s Events industry, TRAVENTURE TOURS in Dubai,

In 2021, he launched a new Real Estate concept … GREYSTONE HOMES IN Dubai,

In 2022, he developed the holding business in Saudi Arabia and established FIESTA ARABIA INVEST, NABD ARABIA for Art and Music, and ARCUS CONTRACTING.

2023, the Journey continues and NEW CHALLENGE will join on board, JOUD GALLERY (GCC) and BEIRUT SOUKS in Jeddah by FINGERS

ARCUS CONTRACTING LLC – KSA is a combination of a large, well equipped custom wood work shop and a state-of-the-art case goods manufacturing plant have created an ideal facility to blend the ability to produce high volume production run jobs with custom projects. Our skilled craftsmen are adept in working in the plant and on construction job sites with products ranging from exotic hardwoods to ultra modern plastic laminates to Gypsum.

With our post forming machine, we have the ability to make custom post-forming laminate countertops. We also have access to solid surface and stone for counters. Hard Coating with Polyurea Technique

In cases were the foam project need to be stronger and durable to last longer, hard coating can be applied. We provide different types of coatings, depending on the application needed, from Polyurea hard coat to Styrospray, Polyurethane and Epoxy finish.

Polyurea is a coating that can be used on any foam props, signs and projects. It protects the foam shape from weather, water, sun, and humidity, age and break damage.

The Polyurea coating combines high flexibility and durability with high hardness and is fast drying. It can be sanded to a smooth finish and can then be painted with any type of paint – water-base paint, including latex or any oilbased paint, as well as automotive paint. It dries in minutes, providing a tough chemical and abrasion resistant coating. Polyurea will not provoke blistering and blistering will not occur even at extreme temperatures or in humid environment. It will also resist yellowing from ultra violet light exposure. Since the Polyurea dries very fast, it requires fast and efficient mixing and spraying techniques, thus, spraying a large foam piece with a spray gun is the smartest application method.

Curved forms are fluidic, and they are influenced by nature, which allow them to blend into the surrounding landscape. Some of the most striking designs from contemporary architecture includes free-form, because there exists a plethora of technologies today that can bring 3D drawings to life. But even before we had stuff like computer-aided design and CNC manufacturing, curved form could be found sporadically spread throughout architectural history. Dubai will undergo a ‘beautification’ process that will see public art installations launch across the city — the first of which is a forest under the bridge that leads to the East Crescent on Palm Jumeirah — as part of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between master developer Nakheel and Brand Dubai (the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office).

Beneath the bridge, the pillars have been decorated to look like tree trunks, with their bushy leaves merging into one long carpet supporting the base of the road.

“Our cooperation with Brand Dubai will enhance the aesthetic environment in the destinations we have developed, and support Nakheel’s own efforts to provide the best services to customers,” said Nakheel chairman Ali Rashid Lootah.

Palestine: Teta was born on 1897 in Acre (Akka) – Palestine and spent her childhood there with 3 brothers and she was the eldest

South Lebanon: In 1914 she left Acre and moved to South Lebanon with her family when she was 17 years old. In 1915 she met Ahmad. Ahmad had a small restaurant where she joined him as wife and supporter, She developed the menu with him and added special Palestinian traditional recipes added to the Lebanese meals

2nd world war on 1918 Ahmad was forced by the Ottoman army occupying Lebanon to join their army in Armenia.

Armenia: 2 years passed with no news about her husband, some of his relatives who returned from the war, informed Teta that he was last seen in Armenia, so she decided to join a troop to Yerevan to search for Ahmad, and after a month, she reached Yerevan and spent another month searching, Ahmad was injured and an Armenian family was taking care of him in a Catholic Church.

Armenia Teta and Ahmad spent 3 years in Yerevan and had their first child a sweet daughter, they named her Hajar.

1923 they left to Adana: Ahmad took his decision after the war ended, to leave Armenia and move to Turkey and relocate at Adana, where he spent with his family 12 years, and back to their initial restaurant business, but now a cuisine with a twisted mixture of Lebanese – Palestinian – Armenian and Turkish taste.

1935 a new journey: Massoud, A Syrian businessman, was impressed by Teta s food taste after passing by their small restaurant and offered Ahmad a generous offer to move to Aleppo and partner with him in a big restaurant where Teta will manage the kitchen and develop the menu So the family journey and stayed there
