All the materials and tools required for the course will be supplied. Included in the course fee are enough materials to make the three decorations. There will be Felting with Toni Peers, Carole Gray will be visiting for the day to give students the opportunity to turn their hand to stained glass techniques and Deb Hart will be on hand during the week providing guidance on willow weaving. Evenings will be very informal after dinner, with opportunities to see what our other art students are getting up to and perhaps finish off projects from that day.

An opportunity to explore two different jewellery disciplines in one weekend plus a few general jewellery making tips to make your pieces into wearable art.Vitreous Enamelling is an ancient art form created by fusing powdered glass to copper and then firing at high temperatures in a kiln. Using both opaque and transparent glass you will create some beautiful and unique pieces of jewellery, or decorative pieces. Expect to make at least three enamelled pieces in this part of the weekend class. Silver clay is wondrous stuff, it enables you the flexibility of moulding clay into the shape and design you desire, whilst offering you the beauty of fine silver once fired, a real cheat for frustrated Silversmiths. Create up to three items of fine silver jewellery using the 10g of silver clay included – depending on the size of pieces made. For beginners and those wishing to develop their skills further. Participants will learn how to create a willow wreath base which they will decorate with evergreen material and some festive items such as orange slices, basic ribbon, cones and apples these will be provided but please feel free to bring some of your own; such as: cinnamon sticks, apple slices, specific ribbon, walnuts or any other things you would like to incorporate.
