FIDUS MUSEUM MANIFEST
The Fidus Museum is an international initiative to make the work of Fidus available and visible to readers and the Art World.
Fidus can only be understood, if placed in the time he lived in, and the turmoil in society of that time. He lived through two World wars, and he sought recognition throughout his whole life. His art work is seen as related to Esotherics and Occultism and that made it quite controversial.
His influence though was rather big – as he was seen a one of the pioneers of the so called ‘Lebensreform’ and the German youth movement like ‘Die Wandervögel’.
