Cao Guimarães (Belo Horizonte, 1965) trabaja combinando el cine y las artes visuales. Con una prolífica producción desde finales de los 80, sus obras se han expuesto en prestigiosas instituciones como la Tate Modern, MoMA o el Museo Guggenheim. Ha participado de importantes exposiciones y ha proyectado filmes como Otto, Ex-isto y Andarilho en festivales de renombre como la Mostra Internazionale d’Arte Cinematografica di Venezia, Cannes y el International Film Festival Rotterdam.
Isabel García Pérez de Arce (Chile, 1972) es licenciada en artes visuales (PUC) y doctorada en arquitectura y estudios urbanos (U. de Chile). Fue directora del Centro de Documentación de las Artes del Centro Cultural Palacio La Moneda y actualmente es docente de teoría del video y de historia de arte latinoamericano en la UDP.
Cao Guimarães (Belo Horizonte, 1965) works by combining film and the visual arts. With vast productions since the late 80s, his works have been showcased in renowned institutions such as Tate Modern, MoMA and the Guggenheim Museum. He has participated in important exhibitions and has screened his films, Otto, Ex-It and Drifter at noted international film festivals such as Mostra Internazionale d’Arte Cinematografica di Venezia, Cannes and International Film Festival Rotterdam.
Isabel García Pérez de Arce (Chile, 1972) holds a degree in visual arts from Universidad Católica de Chile and a doctorate in architecture and urban studies from Universidad de Chile. She has been director of the Center for Arts Documentation at Centro Cultural Palacio La Moneda, and currently teaches video theory and Latin American art history at UDP.
Christopher Murray (Santiago, 1985) es director audiovisual de la UC. Fue co-director del largometraje Manuel de Ribera, estrenado en el Festival de Rotterdam 2010 y premiado como Mejor Película Nacional en el festival SANFIC 2010. Es director del proyecto documental Mapa Fílmico de un País (www.mafi.tv), estrenado en IDFA 2012. Christopher Murray (Santiago, 1985) is the audiovisual director at UC. He co-directed the feature film Manuel de Ribera, which premiered in 2010 at the Rotterdam International Film Festival and was awarded the title for Best National Film in SANFIC 2010. He’s the director of Mapa Fílmico de un País (www.mafi.tv) a documentary project premiered at IDFA 2012.

Obra que de una manera muy simple, creativa y llena de humor, cuenta la historia del abuelo materno de la realizadora, el Dr. Sandoval, a través del juego e interacción de finas hierbas y aliños de cocina, con una narración improvisada y espontánea de sus cuatro hijas. Un divertimento, como buen ejercicio de creatividad, que nos demuestra lo simple y los pocos elementos que se necesitan para hacer una película. C.V.
This work relates in a simple, creative and humorous way, the story of the director’s maternal grandfather, Dr. Sandoval, through playful fine herbs interaction and cooking spices, with an improvised and spontaneous narrative by his four daughters. Amusement as a good exercise on simplicity and creativity, that shows us the few and simple elements needed to make a movie. C.V.
Martha Naranjo Sandoval (México, 1989) es cineasta, graduada con honores en el Centro de Diseño, Cine y Televisión en México. Su tesis, el cortometraje Vacío para compartir, no sólo obtuvo mención honorífica al graduarse, sino que también se ha proyectado en varios festivales y ha ganado premios internacionales.
Martha Naranjo Sandoval (México, 1989) is a filmmaker and graduated with honors at the Centro de Diseño, Cine y Television (TV and Film design center) in Mexico. Her thesis, the short film Vacío para compartir, received an honorable mention upon graduation; it has been screened in several festivals and has been awarded internationally.
