Class President s Message '

Good evening Seniors, Tonight is the night that we celebrate something great; celebrate the departure of us, Class of 2021, into the real world. We will part ways and be on our own the second we each exit the stadium, but let us not forget the many milestones that we’ve accomplished as a class. Bringing it way back to freshman year when we won first place in Song Contest, to junior year when we won first place in Homecoming Overall. It is a bittersweet moment since that was the very last of our homecoming memories in high school. Fast forward to this school year, our senior year, which was undoubtedly full of great uncertainty but also groundbreaking firsts. We are and have been making history as we are the very first class that hosted senior portraits on our own campus and the very first class to host graduation here at the Aloha Stadium, among many other things.

We, the Graduating Class of 2021 – along with 2021 graduates all over the world, had to experience the most impacted senior year; a challenge no other class has gone through in recent years. Despite not having a homecoming, a luau, a class week, a prom, or all the other things that we envisioned for our senior year, we get the chance to experience a graduation that we’re all seeing unfold today amidst these difficult times.

It hasn’t been easy, but let the absence of these senior year events and the presence of the pandemic be a reminder for everyone to never take things for granted. You never know if an opportunity will present itself again, and nothing is promised. So, make the most out of life, do not hold yourself back, and appreciate your loved ones. Appreciate any moment that you have, now, more than ever.

Thank you for letting me serve as the Senior Class President, and the Class Treasurer for the past three school years. It has been an honor and a privilege, and along with it came many valuable life lessons that are what brought me here today. I wish you all the best of luck in your future endeavors, and I hope that each and every one of you flourish and grow in whatever you do because we are the glorious Class of 2021.

To the Wonderful Class of 2021, It’s been an honor and pleasure to be your advisors for the past 4 years. We hope your years at Farrington High School have been filled with joy, laughter, and friendship and the memories you have created will be with you always. While your senior year may not have been as you expected, we want to acknowledge your strength and fortitude for surviving a challenging and difficult school year.

This year began with many of you filled with fear, uncertainty and doubt. However, you all showed your resiliency and perseverance by overcoming the many obstacles that were put in front of you.

You adjusted and adapted to the many setbacks due to the pandemic. You all conquered and survived what truly will be considered a global changing event. By doing so, you lived the Farrington Way and continued to learn in-person and virtually and serve our community in small ways. You showed your respect and responsibility toward your fellow governors with simple and yet an important gesture of wearing a mask. Your integrity and teamwork continued to make this year as significant as possible.

As you embark on your next chapter of your lives, we implore you to reflect on the strength and commitment you displayed to overcome the challenges of the year. As Maya Angelou says, “We May Encounter Many Defeats But We Must Not Be Defeated.” We hope you find that there are always alternatives to any situation and you can make the best of it. You all possess the tools to succeed in any endeavor that you take on, whether it be college, the military or the workforce.

Aloha Seniors, My heartfelt Congratulations to the Farrington High School Class of 2021!! I hope your journey towards excellence has been one that has been filled with many memorable moments that you will remember for the rest of your life. As our newest graduates, you will now join thousands of illustrious Farrington Alumni in our community.

As all of you are aware, this pandemic has changed your senior year in significant and profound ways. COVID has made life difficult and challenging, but your resilience, courage and energy has brought you to your high school graduation and the many joys and possibilities that await you in the future.

Your extraordinary accomplishments the last four years have prepared you to move on to the real world of college, military or work. Your teachers and support staff have equipped you with the knowledge and skills to give you a great head start in your future endeavors. While the diploma you earned is your entry ticket to the next chapter in your life, always remember to seek excellence every day and constantly upgrade yourself to remain relevant in this ever changing world.

Revel in this moment and don’t forget to take the time to thank everyone who have been instrumental in helping you achieve this milestone.
