We build our India tours around the rare opportunity to visit the best part of the Pushkar Festival that only happens during 5 days each year. The timing of the festival for 2024 has allowed us to design our tour with advantages we have not had in the past. Here is why you should pick 2024 as the year to take our tour to India: • The purchase power of the dollar this year compared to past years: In the past for every dollar we traded for Indian Rupees (India’s money), we received somewhere between 42 to 50 Rupees. This year for every dollar we are able to get 82 Rupees per dollar. This is the best exchange rate we have ever seen. We are purchasing the Indian Rupees now and putting them in the bank to insure the huge savings for our 2024 group. No one knows when the number of Rupees per dollar will go back into the 40’s per dollar. • We have tried for years to be able to get into the Umaid Bhawan Palace. It is the home of the Jodhpur Royal Family and currently the world’s sixth-largest private residence in the world. For 2024, we have been able to arrange that our group will stay in this fairy tale palace for 2 nights. A highlight of highlights! • The Samode Palace: Normally you have to arrange 2 years in advance to stay in this special palace. The owners know the Prince that owns the palace and he has decided to let us have the whole palace for our groups stay. • When you take into consideration the other Maharaja's palaces we stay in, there has never been a time that our groups have had this much luxury – especially at the price we are able to offer those going in 2024!

The quality of hotels in India can make or break your tour. Most 3, 4 and even some 5-star hotels are not up to US standards. Almost all of our luxury hotels are their own gated community with large private areas, pools and manicured gardens AND most important – they have the highest quality of food that is needed when you are traveling in a 3rd world country. Our hotels, for the most part beat 5-star US standards. Taj is one of the top hotel brands in the world, exceeding Hilton, Marriott and others. Many of our hotels in India are in Taj hotels. Your tour includes real 5-star opulent luxury palaces (built by Maharajas), along with 5-star luxurious hotels! Here is a partial list of hotels we expect to use on your tour: the 5-star Taj Palace, Hotel Deli (found on lists of top hotels in the world) – The 5-star Marriott Hotel Kathmandu – The 5-star Taj Ganges in Varanasi (with 42 acres of gardens) - the 5-star Jaypee Palace Agra in its own vast expanse of greenery and gardens. The 5-star Taj Mahal Palace in Jaipur, with over 17 acres of manicured gardens and pools – The Umaid Bhawan Palace the residence of royalty with 26 acres of private gardens and pools - 5-star Pushkara Resort and Spa with its 9 acres of private property – the 475 year old 5-star Samode Palace, grounds cover the canyon it is in, plus the surrounding hills. Pushkar Festival: National Geographic created a list of the ten places you should see before you die. Pushkar Festival was on that list. As part of your tour, you will have the rare opportunity to experience the famous Pushkar Festival. The Pushkar Festival is considered the oldest festival in the world. It has been held annually for over 1,000 years. An astonishing 50,000 camels along with cattle and horses are brought to Pushkar each year to barter and sell. It’s a fascinating and spectacular sight that will rank at the top of your list of travel experiences. Less than 2% of the visitors to India get the opportunity to attend a Pushkar Festival. There are only a few 5-star hotels and a few 1 to 2-star small hotels at Pushkar, so most of the visitors have to stay in tents during their visit to the festival. With our connections in India, we have been given one of the 5-star luxury hotels for our group to stay in.

· The massive Mehrangarth Fort in Jodhpur: This is the most beautiful ancient fortress palace in all of India and should not be missed. · Pushkar Festival: With so few days in a year that the 1,000 year old festival is held and so few places to stay in the out of the way Pushkar area, very few tourists are ever able to experience the Pushkar Festival. Most have to stay in tent camps, but we have one of the few 5-star resort hotels for our passengers. This is only available to our passengers because of connections the owners of Fun For Less Tours have in India. · Maharaja Palaces: Many of them are so stunning that they become an attraction unto themselves. We usually leave early and return around 4pm back to the Maharaja Palaces. This gives our passengers time to leisurely explore the beautiful grounds, take a swim in some of the beautiful swimming pools and enjoy dinner on patios overlooking the manicured gardens. · The Country of Bhutan: Few, if any, tourists ever get permission to visit Bhutan – stepping back in time where little has changed in hundreds of years. This is an optional extension, but if you have time and have the money we highly recommend it. Bhutan wants to limit the number of tourists. One of the ways is, they charge $200 a day per tourist, in addition to any visas, flights, hotels and other expenses related to the trip. That means, with our group staying 4 nights, we are paying between $800 and $1,000 per person just for the right to enter Bhutan. Expensive, but we believe it is worth it.

Bhutan is a small picturesque country located high in the Himalayas with a border to Tibet. It was almost completely cut off for centuries with no roads in or out. It has tried to let in some aspects of the outside world while fiercely guarding its ancient traditions. They still wear clothing styles that are from the 16th century. Bhutan “Land of the Thunder Dragon”, only began to open up to outsiders in the 1970’s. ROCKY MOUNTAIN TRAIN 15 day train tour - August 12, 2024

We have evaluated everything there is to see and experience in upper Washington, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Alberta, and the majestic Canadian Rockies. There are only a few times each year when the cruise leaves from one side of the U.S. and transits through the Panama Canal, and ends up on the other side of the U.S. We love this cruise itinerary. We plan to add a unique night in an upgraded room with window on the famous Queen Mary parked at the Long Beach wharf. It would include a night stay, breakfast and a Tour of the ship. Jim and Carol Tyndall, along with Jamie, their daughter (owners of Fun For Less Tours), were able to experience this fantastic part of the world on a private train. At the time, the train was not visiting Tajikistan or Kyrgyzstan. Knowing the train missed the countries of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, they went in early to explore the areas the train missed. Even though they had all traveled to over a hundred countries, they knew almost nothing about Central Asia and its history of the Silk Road. To say they were overwhelmed with the ancient beauty and the people – would be an understatement. To Jim, Carol and Jamie it shot right up near the top of all the places they have ever visited. After the trip, they agreed to charter the whole train for our groups – BUT, they needed to redesign the train's itinerary and needed to add the countries of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. A train is not like a bus that you can just take a different road, pull over almost anywhere and stop or park. Getting permission to travel by rail, wanting to stop and park your train like a bus is not easy. It took close to a year of working with all of the governments and local train companies to get permission to change our itinerary and add the additional two Stans - Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, The only reason this is possible, is because we are chartering the whole train, changing the itinerary, and adding additional nights on the train.

A Few Things to Consider:

• The huge price savings from our chartering the whole train. As far as we know, no one has ever chartered the entire private train through the Silk Road in Central Asia. Chartering the whole train created huge savings. Our price on the train is $1,300 per person less than what the train company charges when it is not a Charter AND they do not include all 4 countries and our improved itinerary! That is only reserved for our charters. • NO LONG DRIVES! On Jim and Carol’s trip they met many people traveling through the Silk Road by bus. When they asked how they liked their tour, everyone said they loved the sites, and the hotels, but the long drives were exhausting and grueling! They spent ½ of their time or more doing long drives. There were many days of driving that were 6 hours or more before they reached the next area to tour. Then when they arrived, they were given less time than they would have liked to see the sights. WE HAVE NO LONG DRIVES! We will travel by train at night and then tour during the day. Some of the bus travelers they met said they had looked at the train but it only visited 2 of the Stan countries. They wanted all 4, so they went by bus. You will get all 4 Stans without any long drives, plus you will have plenty of time to enjoy the many beautiful sites. Please, Please, Please listen to us. This is the BEST designed tour of the Silk Road, the BEST in hotels, the BEST deluxe train – All at the BEST price you will ever see!! We have chartered the whole train in 2023. We do not know if this is our Lehi, but we do know this will be a huge highlight as you visit an active archaeological dig. The excavations are on an Army Base.
