Llevo más de veinte años viendo evolucionar a Ferrovial, pasando de ser una empresa muy constructora y muy española, hasta ser un grupo diversificado y multinacional, siempre cercano a las infraestructuras, y constantemente preparado para emprender las acciones necesarias con el fin de adaptarse a las oportunidades y amenazas que el entorno nos presenta. Desde que en 2008 se me dio la responsabilidad de dirigir Ferrovial Agroman, ha tenido lugar una revolución de nuestro sector en España, nuestros mercados internacionales han crecido con constancia, pero no lo suficiente para compensar la caída de lo que hasta hace poco era nuestro mercado más rentable y voluminoso. Gracias a la visión que tuvieron los que nos precedieron y a cómo hemos hecho las cosas como colectivo desde entonces, Ferrovial Agroman es una de las empresas de nuestro sector
que mejor está capeando este temporal. Estoy convencido de que las claves de nuestro éxito para haber llegado hasta aquí son muchas de las mismas que implementó desde sus inicios Rafael del Pino y Moreno, a través de principios como la audacia, la inquietud, la promoción del talento, la innovación, la eficacia, la calidad y la austeridad. I have spent more than twenty years seeing Ferrovial evolve, going from being very much a construction company and very much a Spanish company to a diversified and multinational group, always closely connected with infrastructures and constantly ready to embark on the necessary actions to adapt to the opportunities and threats that our milieu provides us with. Ever since in 2008 I was given the responsibility of leading Ferrovial Agroman, a revolution has taken place in our sector in Spain. Our international markets have steadily grown, but not enough to compensate for the fall in what until recently had been our most profitable and voluminous market. Thanks to the vision of those who preceded us and to how we have done things as a collective ever since, Ferrovial Agroman is one of the companies in our sector that is best weathering this storm. I am convinced that the keys to our success in having reached this point are many of the same ones that were implemented right from the outset by Rafael del Pino y Moreno, through principles such as audacity, enterprise, promotion of talent, innovation, efficiency, quality and austerity. In Construction we continue to boost growth outside our borders, something Ferrovial started in 1954 with its first international contract.
