Once ready you have two choices: Standard or Advanced Transfer. Most people can use Standard and if you need Advanced you probably know why.

One thing you can check under Advanced is which applications will be moved. Noncompatible applications will not be moved. They will be marked red. If you have multiple users you want to move, you can use the User tab in the Advanced Transfer to pick which users to move. Once you’ve done that hit Next and watch PCMover create a configuration. It’ll tell you how much data it will move and approximately how long it will take. Don’t be surprised if the time is many hours. I recommend, if you can, starting this before bed. Once the transfer is complete you should have all your old user settings, files, and applications on your new computer.
