GEOMETRÍA DE FALLAS COMPLEJAS: ACERCA DE LA EXISTENCIA DE FALLAS CIRCULARES Y ELÍPTICAS Y SU RELACIÓN CON LA EXISTENCIA DE GAS Y/O PETRÓLEO (Zona Centro-Ibérica Meridional) Fernando López Díaz (2021)
Abstract.- The surprise was Huge. The existence of Circular and Elliptical Faults it´s normal at the Domain of Vertical Folds in the Central Iberian Zone (Spain, Almaden Area). Three of the Circular kind (FDC) are recognize (and possibly a fourth and a fifth), with the particularity that they are in alignent between two semiparallel lines of ENE-WSW orientation. Their characteristics are on his distensive movement of the inner wall, and his small chartografic size, about 1 or 2 Kms. . But, in the Eastern part of the investigated area, there are a big number of semi-Circular and Elliptical faults that, amongst of other effects, controlles the deposition of much of the presents Rocks and Sediments, take in from the pre-Ordovician (Criogenic and Ediacaran times) to the Cenozoical. These later faults are very much larger (many kilometers) than the firsts ones and are very typical of this part of the Chain. An idealizad sketch shows the working of one of this kind of faults checking the deposition of Ediacaran Rocks and possibly the existente of Metallic Mineralizations at the footwall and ¿steady?, where a lot of small distensive faults (of all the sizes) are of perpendicular orientation (nearness). This Área can be subdivided into 13 blocks on their tectonic characteristics and importance. Very much structural work is necessary to understand all the área investigated in this paper, but, may be, this is the beginning. These blocks comprises both pre-Ordovician and rest of Paleozoical Rocks, being the difference only in structural characterístics, and position into the Orogen. Where the vertical movements have had very much importante that the tangencial ones. This job comprises two differents ones, the first of Structural Geology and the second, to a great extent bases in the former part, that speakes of Oíl and Gas, bases in a cross-section (Fig.- 5-1), where there is a big trap in Upper Carboniferous materials. The origin of small circular distensive faults in the western area also is related with the expansión of Gas. Resumen.- La sorpresa fue mayúscula, realizando la cartografía del área de Almadén para un proyecto mayor, me encontré con la existencia de una alineación ENE-OSO de Fallas Distensivas Circulares (FDC) que abarcan desde el Criogénico hasta el Cenozoico. Conociendo el área, no sería de extrañar que estas fallas hayan jugado en cada movimiento orogénico que hayan sufrido. Esta alineación se encuentra en el borde Oeste del área estudiada en este trabajo. Más hacia el Este, aparecen FDC (semicirculares en este caso), de mucho mayor tamaño que se cortan unas a otras y controlan la deposición de todos los materiales, o de gran parte de ellos. Como ejemplo y para finalizar el trabajo proponemos el funcionamiento, en el Ediacárico superior, del control sedimentológico de los materiales que van desde continentales hasta turbidíticos de mar abierto (Ediacárico superior). Además es mucho más que posible que en el bloque estable se presenten muchísimas estructuras distensivas que compartimentan ortogonalmente el área y es en la intersección de estas estructuras donde se aprecia posibilidad de mineralización metálica. Tectónicamente, la zona investigada se ha subdividido en 13 “bloques tectónicos”, que comprenden cada uno todo tipo de rocas de edades variadas, pre-Ordovícias y resto del Paleozoico. La subdivisión se ha hecho en base a criterios de homogeneidad estructural y posición dentro del Orógeno. En conjunto los movimientos verticales parecen haber adquirido mucha mayor importancia, en tiempos pre-Ordovicicos y probablemente también Ordovícico inferior, que los movimientos de carácter subhorizontal (tangencial) 1
