Closing gaps in achievement and ensuring all students are performing at high levels is critical to the future success and economic well-being of all Minnesotans. We are committed to providing high quality, culturally responsive curricula and instruction for each student group in our schools. Our educators strive to build positive developmental relationships with students and to provide differentiated teaching and learning methods to best suit each child’s strengths and needs.

At Kennedy Secondary School, each student is supported in developing a Personal Learning Plan which includes career and college exploration and planning through embedded coursework and activities. Students identify their strengths and interests and create personal and professional goals. In addition to rigorous secondary and college course offerings, our school district offers work-based learning, automotive classes for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification, a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program, and sterile technical education courses including: small engines, woodworking, and business. Through project-based learning units, our teachers strive to create authentic, interdisciplinary, and hands-on learning experiences to prepare our students with 21st century skills of collaboration, creativity, communication, and critical thinking.
