INDIA’S BEST INNOVATION IN THE uPVC DOOR AND WINDOW INDUSTRY, by

Whether you are a homeowner, an architect, or a builder, you may have come across several uPVC door and window brands across India. But how do you know which brand is the best? Look no further than the most innovative uPVC door & window brand in India. Introducing to you, uPVC Door & Window Systems by Fenova.

The name Fenova is derived from ‘Innovative Fenestration’ as innovation is a core company value at Fenova. To understand why Fenova is the most innovative uPVC window profile manufacturer, let’s look at its rich history of innovation:
‘’Innovation is a new idea or technology that makes expensive or sophisticated products accessible and more affordable to a broader market.’’

Many of today’s household essentials were luxuries of the past. An excellent example is sugar: Being exported to the Great Britain by medieval traders , the cost of sugar was around £350 a kilogram in the year 1300 (at 2010 prices),it fell down to £100 by the year 1500 as supplies grew. And now in 2023, it costs below £1 per kilogram in most countries. Overtime it became less expensive because of several innovations that made farming, storage and transportation of sugar more efficient
Just like sugar, the reach of every premium product can be made available to the mass market with innovation-driven manufacturing. Going back to Fenova, let us understand what uPVC door and window profiles actually are. These are various extruded sections called profiles, which when fabricated together along with glass and other items, form a door or a window.
Although white is the most common color of uPVC door and window profiles sold, leading manufacturers offer additional aesthetic options, such as wooden-finish profiles for customers who seek the luxurious wood grain aesthetic effect in their uPVC windows & doors Generally, white windows are seen as a budget-friendly option, while wooden-finish windows ones are considered more premium.
As a rule of thumb, wooden-finish window profiles cost twice as much as white. This is because all profile manufacturers in India, whether large or small, paste wooden finish laminates on normal profiles to provide them the wooden appearance. These specialty laminates almost cost as much as the profiles themselves, and hence add the high differential cost to the end-product.
Hence, customers who seek the wooden finish effect in their uPVC windows need to spend twice as much in order to achieve that aesthetic. Besides, the risk of the laminate peeling or wear and tear always remains. These drawbacks prevented wooden finish uPVC profiles to become a market standard and be available for a larger audience, before, Fenova came into the market.

Fenova felt the need to innovate this market and develop a cost effective, as well as a mechanically superior alternative to the laminated profiles
Fenova invested over 2 years in research and development with its American and Asian counterparts to develop the coextrusion technology. This technology enables Fenova to extrude homogeneously joined, multi-layered polymer structures with a special outer layer of acrylonitrile styrene acrylate (commonly known as ASA) on a uPVC substrate. ASA is a superior polymer than uPVC offering extreme UV stability and surface finish.
The outer ASA layer of a co-extruded profile is produced with inherent wooden finishes or solid colours, with wood-like texture options. This ASA outer-layer is homogeneously joint with the inner uPVC substrate, and it cannot be peeled or removed from the profile. It also allows Fenova to generate endless color & texture combinations depending on the need of the market and the customers.
With Fenova's innovation, the customers can now avail the wooden-finish or colour profiles at over half the price of what they would pay for laminated ones. Apart from the cost effectiveness, the co-extrusion technology has also enabled a product with better performance in India’s extreme weather conditions. ASA being a superior polymer than uPVC, it has additional benefits such as - EXTREME UV STABILITY, and enhanced durability.
As mentioned in the beginning of this video, Innovation is a new idea or technology that makes expensive or sophisticated products more accessible and affordable to a broader market.
Fenova’s innovation did just that and opened up the wooden-finished profiles to the mass-market by enabling a significant cost-reduction over laminated wooden-finish window profiles.

BOTTOMLINE: FENOVA’S uPVC DOORS & WINDOWS HAVE EXTREME UV STABILITY THROUGH ASA COEXTRUSION, ENHANCED DURABILITY, NO DISCOLORATION, NO FADING, NO PEELING LAMINATES, RESISTANT TO HOUSE-HOLD CLEANING CHEMICALS, ROT-FREE IN ADDITION TO NOISE-REDUCTION AND ENERGY EFFICIENCY, AT A PRICE LESSER THAN TRADITIONAL LAMINATED UPVC DOORS & WINDOWS
