ABOUT ME

I’m graduated with an Architecture bachelor’s degree. I have an interest in design and art especially in architecture realm. I’m motivated and adaptable person to new things in many places. I alway give my best work to contribute it with a good communication. I believe that my skills, energy and my experience can make a positive contribution to my work.

I had experiences in residential design, church design , and doctor’s clinic design as a freelancer. I also had an experience of being as a interior project consultant in a Italian furniture and interior design company. I provided interior consultation such as furniture layout, simultaion and moodboard also made a high quality 2D and 3D rendering for furniture layout plan. I also handled walk-in clients and conducted on-site supervision. I carried out adminstrative activities such as negotation and provied quoatiotion for clients.

Description

The Jacobson van Den Berg Building is one of the cultural heritage buildings in the Sekanak area which played an important role in the coffee trade in Palembang City, especially the Sekanak area during the colonial period. Therefore, to maintain the historical and cultural value of cultural heritage buildings, it is necessary to conserve and develop the function of the Jacobson Building. In principle, this method is to maintain the preservation of cultural heritage buildings by filling them with new functions that are contextual to the historical aspects of the building and the surrounding area. The method is carried out by physically modifying the building without changing the original style of the Jacobson Building. Through this method, the Jacobson Building was repurposed as a Coffee Museum.

Background Issue

Redesign the church facade according to the client's request based on the existing building design. The client wanted to remove the canopy on the front porch of the church, then add a bell tower on the right side of the building, But with a more modern design and adding several ornamental highlights. Apart from that, the client also wanted to remove the rear roof to turn it into a roof trap that was parallel to the front roof.

Solutions

Based on the client's wishes and requests, we made these changes but still maintained the original design such as the shape of the windows and the church entrance area. For the church tower design, we made the design more modern and added more ornaments than the old tower design, but still maintained the original shape of the old design.
