DESIGN WORKSHOP #11

PACIFIC - STATION
Built in the early 20th century, at San Jose, Costa Rica, the Pacific Train Station is a public transportation hub. At almost 100 years old, it fails to meet the challenges and supply the needs of a new century to its thousands of users.

PACIFIC - STATION
The rehabilitation of the station includes a budget hotel, museum and gallery to commemorate all its past achievements, restaurant, small and local business, and new administrative and office spaces

DESIGN WORKSHOP #10

BINNENPLAATS
The ideology around European courtyards - and their livability - was central to the development of this residential and commercial project, designed for students in the Zapote area.

BINNENPLAATS
Set in an empty parking lot, Binnenplaats yearns to rediscover what it means to live in the modern built environment. Intimate spaces bleeding into the urban fabric anchor the project into its context.

CONVERGENCE AND EXCHANGE
LOURDES PLAZA
The plaza at the Lourdes, San Jose was once its neighborhood’s meeting center. It is now a barren wasteland yearning to be more. This urban intervention take protagonism back from the university to the plaza

RHINO WORKSHOP

Technology and the proliferation of it has made it possible for virtually anyone to have the ability to code. In our industry, this means we as architects can design using parameters and basic coding language in a way we would never be able to without these amazing tools

Using parameters to control the basic geometry of the panels in this facade, Grasshopper is able to minimize or maximize the solar incidence each panel is receiving.
