F.A.NSTYLE is a company that specialises in interior design and transforms homes into multipurpose spaces. The aim is to design to achieve client’s needs according to their space, style and budget.
To make room for a bar counter, we hacked away the kitchen and yard walls in the layout. As a result, the living room and kitchen are one continuous space, which opens up the area and makes it big enough to accommodate numerous guests.
To ensure symmetry and to distribute misalignments to the corners, the tiles are laid from the centre outward.
From this layout, it shows the overall furnitures and flooring tones of the residential.
In the living room, there is a drop down false ceiling with cove lighting and recessed downlight. The false ceiling is extended and connected to the entire space from the entrance to living area. This shows the outline of the dining and living space.
05
The floor finish design consists of many colours, patterns, and finishes for various purposes, all of which blend well together. From the kitchen to living room, it consist of the same tile to give it a seamless look.

01 - My site is located at the Horizon Bench at MBS, so my creature only have a bridge to hold on itself. The first design of my creature is inspired by the items around me such as stationaries, kitchen equipment and more.
02 - On the second sketch, I was inspired by sea creatures to form its structure, turning it into an organic form.
03 - Developing from the second sketch, I turned it into a more rigid form rather than a organic form. As my idea was to have a creature to help and protect the environment from human pollution. Hence, a rgid form will mke it look sharper and fiercer creating discomfort and nervousness in user.
04 - 07 - The models are made by crushing papers to give a volume. This allow me to visualise my model easily while making the final one.
