Backstory Merra Melati is an Indonesian girl of Chinese descent. She lives in DKI Jakarta, the current national capital of Indonesia and a very advanced metropolitan city. She was born in a well-off family and was studying in schools with good reputations, but she’s just an average ranked student. She likes learning about other cultures and came upon Japan, she came to like Japanese culture and even tried learning their language till this day.

Merra is a very energetic person, just like her name that comes from the color red, “Merah”, she’s very passionate and courageous, promoting ambition and determination. “Melati” is one of the national flowers of Indonesia, “Melati Putih”, that represents purity and innocence, just like it’s color. So essentially her name can actually translates to “Merah Putih”, like the national flag of Indonesia.
