Our Story

Fei Liu Fine Jewellery is an eponymous jewellery brand founded in 2006 by award-winning designer Fei Liu. The heart of each design is created from our headquarters in the historic Birmingham Jewellery Quarter.

For over 15 years, we have designed pieces to celebrate special moments and make each an everlasting memory.

Our founder and designer Fei is best known for his exquisite couture masterpieces for international private clients. Each jewel is tailored to celebrate the beauty of each person’s individuality. All the while upholding Fei’s ethos of colour, sculpture and wearability.

Each silver and gold collection translates the exceptional finish and craftsmanship of these couture pieces to achieve attainable luxury.

Hope Springs New Life

The ‘Hope Springs New Life’ features a detachable jadeite brooch adornment. This neckpiece blossoms with icy white rock crystals, scintillating yellow sapphires, dewdrops of diamonds and veins of tsavorites set in bark-textured 18ct black gold.

Poppies In Love

This brooch signifies the ever-changing state of life through richly coloured rubies (unheated) and opalescent moonstones. The two poppy heads are each encrusted 13.2ct rubies, 12.62ct moonstone, and a bejewelled stem of 3ct tsavorites and 2.06ct diamonds.

Unicorn

Designed to be worn on the red carpet and a motorbike ride, the Unicorn neckpiece combines volcanic rock and diamonds to create a bold contrast and edgy look. This versatile jewel can be worn as a statement neckpiece or as a Unicorn brooch. The Unicorn’s face is carved from white Russian nephrite, whilst the diamond-set mane is articulated for maximum comfort. In contrast, the neckpiece is set with black diamonds in 18ct black gold.

Waterfall

This bespoke creation by Fei Liu is inspired by waterfalls. The energy emanated by the spectacular cascades is luxuriously portrayed by the serene flow of glistening blue sapphire, flurries of lacy diamonds and translucent jade. The combination of traditional materials with new technology captures the marriage of East meets West.

103ct Tanzanite Neckpiece

Set with a magnificent 103ct tanzanite, with swirls of sapphire and diamonds, and drops of jade. The colours of this necklace represent the blue hues of the night.

Yellow and White Diamond Set

Classic with a modern twist. A yellow and white diamond set, which features 40ct cushions yellow diamonds, encompassed with yellow diamonds. The asymmetric lacy pavé of diamonds create the delicate flower motif.

Green Tourmaline Feather Set

Winner of the IJL Editor’s Choice Award Visual Impact This piece features 45 varying sized spherical green tourmaline beads, with a combined weight of 509ct; as well as 18ct white gold, 17.7ct of diamonds and 19.6ct of garnets. The feather centrepiece can also be detached from the beaded neckpiece and worn as a large dramatic brooch.

Blue of Dreams Tiara

` ‘The Blue of Dreams’ tiara is a collaboration between Fei and the Miss China beauty pageant.

Fei sought inspiration from the flying fairy murals of Dunhuang, China. A city that symbolises the beginning of the Silk Road.

The marvellous main sapphire stone weighs 88ct and is worth approximately £3million. The entwined ribbons of platinum are set with hues of sapphire and rose-cut diamonds to give the tiara life and dimension. Amongst the sea of faceted stones is a band of cultured pearls.

With this piece, Fei looks to marry the different cultures and art, by combining the traditional craftsmanship skills and the inspiration of the Silk Road. ‘The Blue of Dreams’ is a modern representation of East meets West and exhibited in Beijing in July 2017.
