OFF LEASH DOG STRATEGY

COMMUNITY SURVEY

Federation Council wants your feedback on the future of dog off-leash areas in our community. We’re developing a new Dog Off-Leash Strategy, and your input is crucial! Whether you’re a dog owner or not, we want to hear from you. The survey is your chance to share your thoughts on existing off-leash areas, suggest new locations, and highlight any opportunities or issues.

Have your say and help us create better spaces for our fourlegged friends! Find out more on Council’s website. Feedback is open until 5pm, Tuesday 30 September, 2025.

RENNIE RESERVES LAND MANAGER

Crown Lands are seeking new Board members to help manage two local reserves: Reserve No. 89747, designated for Public Recreation, and Reserve No. 66805, which hosts the Public Hall.

This is a voluntary role, and successful applicants will be responsible for the care and management of these important community spaces. The term of appointment is up to five years, expiring on 1 February, 2031.

If you’re interested in serving your community, you can apply online at the Crown Land portal.

MULWALA COUNCIL OFFICE & LIBRARY - ROOF DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS

Important upgrades to the roof drainage system at the Mulwala Council Office and Library are currently underway. These works, which will take approximately 6-8 weeks, are essential to protect the building from water damage and ensure it remains a valuable community space for years to come. There may be temporary closures or interruptions to access while the work is being completed. We will keep you updated on any changes. Thank you for your patience as we work to improve our facilities! The value of these works is $52,000 and is funded by the recent special rate variation.

DEVELOPMENT CONSENTS

Public notice is given pursuant to Section 101 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, 1979, that the Council has granted development consent in respect of the following developments. The consents are available for public inspection by contacting Council during business hours.

BALD ARCHY PRIZE EXHIBITION

Get ready for some serious chuckles! The hilarious Bald Archy Prize has returned to the Corowa Art Space! You won’t want to miss this! Plan your visit now and see this acclaimed satirical exhibition before it closes on Sunday 14 September, 2025.

You’ll be treated to 38 playful and entertaining portraits of familiar personalities—it’s a must-see event for art lovers and anyone who enjoys a good laugh!

Federation Council advises that there are significant delays to all applications being lodged for each stage of the development process. Staff shortages, in conjunction with the increasing complexity of the NSW Planning Portal Processes required to be undertaken by Council has seen pre-lodgement assessment times increasing to 6-8 weeks and average determination times taking between 10-12 weeks. We ask you for your cooperation as Council officers concentrate on clearing the backlog of applications while maintaining all other legislated services.
