NORTH OF THE MURRAY TOURISM CONSUMER WEBSITE LAUNCH

We are proud to announce the official launch of the new North of the Murray consumer website! This isn’t just a new look; it’s a sophisticated digital gateway designed to drive tourism and boost the economic prosperity of our local businesses. Tourism is a vital industry for the Federation Council region, and this project represents a major step forward in our digital marketing strategy. Why this matters:

• Regional Leadership: North of the Murray is already the most followed social media brand in the Murray region. This new site allows us to convert that massive engagement into real world visitation.

• Strategic Growth: Supported by a targeted Google Ads campaign, we are ensuring our region stays top of mind for travelers nationwide.

• Community Benefit: Increased visitation means more support for our local hospitality, retail, and service sectors. We invite our residents and businesses to explore the new site and see how we are positioning the North of the Murray as a premier Australian destination. Visit northofthemurray.com.au

COMPANION ANIMAL REGISTRATION DEADLINES AND LATE FEES

Federation Council is committed to ensuring the health and safety of our community’s pets. We want to remind all residents about the mandatory Companion Animal registration deadlines under NSW State Government legislation. Please be aware of the following to avoid state-imposed late fees:

• Initial Registration Fee (Dogs & Cats): Due when your animal is 12 weeks of age, or when first sold (if earlier).

• Dog Undesexed fee: An Additional fee will apply if your dog is not desexed (and not exempt) by 6 months of age (Clause 18 – CA Regulation).

• Cat Undesexed Permit: An annual permit fee applies if your cat is not desexed (and not exempt) by 4 months of age (Clause 27 – CA Regulation).

• Registration late fee: A late fee will apply if your animal is not registered by 12 weeks of age (plus 28 days). The NSW State Government enforces these deadlines and fees, particularly the late penalty, can be substantial. By registering and desexing your pets on time, you help us protect our animals and avoid unnecessary charges.
