Federation Council invites Expressions of Interest from businesses interested in operating a mobile food van at two prime park locations: Rowers Park in Corowa and Purtle Park in Mulwala. This is a fantastic opportunity to serve your delicious food to our local communities in our beautiful park settings. Mobile food vendors are encouraged to enquire today. 2026 BIN COLLECTION CALENDARS
Do you forget which bins to put out each week for kerbside waste collection? No more guessing, download the 2026 kerbside bin collection calendar from our website or collect one from Council offices in Corowa, Howlong, Mulwala or Urana.
Some Helpful Tips:
• Be mindful not to overload the bins – maximum weight is 80kg.
• Place bin close to the kerb with the handle facing toward your property.
• Place your bin out the night before your collection day or by 6am on the morning of collection.
• Keep clear of overhanging branches and power lines.
• Please leave at least one metre between bins and other objects, including fences and vehicles. Find out more about waste services from our website.
SERVICE NSW MOBILE CENTRE
The Service NSW Mobile Service Centre is coming to Mulwala They will be set up at Club Mulwala 271 Melbourne St on the following:

THE FIRST 72 HOURS Emergencies can be hard to predict, and emergency services may be unable to reach you in a disaster. The First 72 Hours supports you to create an Emergency Plan for your household or business.
What will you do for the first 72 hours if you have no access to services such as power, water, gas, reception, road access, or limited food?
Building a safer and more resilient community is a shared responsibility across everyone in NSW, not just those in the Emergency Management sector.

Key Details:
• Maximum Grant: Up to $5,000 per applicant.
• Who Can Apply: Not-for-profit community groups, organisations, and clubs.
• Applications close: Monday 16 March, 2026. Applications must be submitted via an online form, available from Council’s website. We strongly encourage all potential applicants to download and review the Guidelines document to ensure your project and initiatives are eligible for funding.

Federation Council invites parents and carers to Storytime sessions at the Corowa, Howlong and Mulwala Libraries.

Children and their parents/carers can participate in FREE story time sessions that involve sharing stories, rhymes and themed activities. Storytime sessions are suitable for ages 0-5 years and run for 30-45 minutes.

DISABILITY PARKING
TIME LIMITS
Under the NSW Mobility Parking Scheme, vehicles displaying a valid Mobility Parking Permit (MPP) are legally entitled to park for an unlimited duration in any space that has a time limit exceeding 30 minutes (i.e., 1P or greater).
Each disability parking space on Sanger Street is currently signed with a 1P (1-hour) time limit.
MPP holders can park in the designated disabled bays on Sanger Street without a time restriction.

PROPOSED LEASE OF COMMUNITY LAND
Federation Council is notifying the community of a proposal to enter into a 30-year lease with the Mulwala Water Ski Club for the continued operation of the Holiday Park located at 155 Melbourne St, Mulwala. The proposed lease, resolved by Council on 16 December 2025, includes a five-year phased transition to market rent.
In accordance with Section 47 of the Local Government Act 1993, community members are invited to make a submission or objection regarding this proposal. Deadline: 5:00pm, Tuesday 25 March 2026. Written submissions can be emailed to council@federationcouncil.nsw. gov.au, or posted to the General Manager at PO Box 77, Corowa, NSW 2646.
