From the Editor Happy New Year Leaders!

As the 2017-18 year came to an end, the amazing accomplishments and success the Florida District made this year filled me with pride. Make sure to keep active over these next couple of months and finish strong. I cannot wait to see you all in April so we can celebrate this past service year's gains at our 80th DCON! In this issue, you will find new ideas for service projects, on future elections (club and district), Spring Zone Rally dates, and DCON. Yours in friendship and service, Lamiya Kudrati

WHAT Visit http://florid akeyclub.org/due s/ for more info!

District and International dues are $12.50 ($5.50 for District and $7.00 for International).

$ E DU $ W E N WHY A Key Club must pay dues in order to be in good standing with Key Club International, be eligible for awards, attend District Conference, and more.

07

All dues are due by December 1st! *members can still be added in the membership update center

Each Key Club must pay dues in order to be in good standing with Key Club International, be eligible for awards, attend District Conference, and more. Payment of dues to Key Club International is a requirement for a student to be considered a Key Club member. Your club status will become suspended or inactive, requiring a reactivation fee to return to good standing, and will become ineligible for any awards, honors, or YOF or FLOF club grants if dues are not paid. Eventually the Club can actually lose its charter and have to start the long process of chartering once again.

Resolution Tags Help inspire your fellow peers by having members create New Year's resolution tags! They can write one of their resolutions on a paper, attatch it to a string, and create a KEY chain to clip on to their binders or bags!

Pins of Love Have members decorate clothespins in pink and red colors and write messages of kindness and love. Pass out the pins on Valentines Day to spread joy and love!

T-Shirt Superhero Capes Collect gently-used T-Shirts from members and turn them into capes for children in hospitals to make them feel like the superheroes they are during the holiday season!

This includes: Lieutenant Governor (LTG), District Treasurer, District Secretary, District Editor, District Webmaster, Executive Assistant, DCON Chair, District Governor, International Trustee (IT), International Vice President (IVP), and International President (IP). What Would You Do?

All positions entail their own duties and specifications; however, all district and international positions require being a part of a committee and making decisions for the better and majority of the district(s). There are certain positions you must run and campaign for, while others are achieved through an interview process.
