Promotional Opportunities

Trade and Consumer Shows FCO attends numerous trade and consumer shows domestically and internationally, such as the Australian Tourism Exchange, Caravan and Camping Shows and the Queensland on Tour UK Roadshow. We also attend Investment Forums and specific Industry Sector Shows. Speak with our development officers – we love to partner up in order to maximise these opportunities. Industry and Business Promotion FCO is developing a suite of business and economic development initiatives. One example is the Relish Fraser Coast Food Story; promoting and supporting agri-business, growers and agri-tourism. Another example is a recent series of education, health and various investment attraction initiative based videos being produced. Talk to us as to how your partnership can get you involved in these initiatives. Famil Inclusion FCO hosts numerous and diverse media familiarisation visits by both domestic and international media and trade representatives. These are a great opportunity to showcase our destination and your business.

Campaign Opportunities Investment Attraction Campaign On top of continuing to support the Destination Hervey Bay initiative (partnering with Fraser Coast Regional Council), an upcoming Investment Attraction campaign will be launched in 2016 with the aim of attracting investors and both providing investment ready opportunities as well as connecting them with local organisations who have the potential to partner and leverage opportunities. Summer Campaign This annual campaign has, in recent years, been a solely digital campaign that is conducted in late October and into November with the intention of targeting an early start to the summer tourism season. Key activities and attractions that the Fraser Coast boasts are highlighted and the campaign involves buy-in opportunities for industry to leverage.

Winter Campaign In partnership with industry and Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ), FCO implements the annual Fraser Coast winter campaign (with whale watching at its heart) valued at upwards of $400,000 (please note exact figure changes annually). This is FCO’s largest annual campaign and is focused predominantly on the region’s main domestic market - the South East Queensland drive market. Australia’s Nature Coast (ANC) This international trade/marketing initiative has been implemented by FCO, in partnership with Visit Sunshine Coast and TEQ. This project combines the compelling product offering of both regions for an international (primarily European) audience, and offers development opportunities for industry such as the Internationally Ready mentoring program. International trade and media familiarization tours are also a critical element of the ANC initiative. The Fraser Coast Holiday Planner This publication is a significant tool used by FCO to promote the Fraser Coast region and our industry. 70,000 high quality copies are printed annually and distributed across all accredited Visitor Information Centres throughout Queensland, as well as being featured at all trade and consumer shows, both domestic and international, attended by FCO.

Relish: Fraser Coast Food Story With the region’s signature Relish Food and Wine Festival striking a chord with local industry, the initiative has been broadened into a comprehensive program to link growers, restaurants, further hospitality providers, and of course consumers. Applicable businesses with a Bronze partnership and above will automatically become a member of the Relish Food Industry Network. This membership costs $95 for non-partners.

Events FCO is responsible for the planning and implementation of several key events throughout the calendar year, which greatly benefit the tourism industry. These annual events include the Relish Food and Wine Festival, Mary Poppins Festival, Hervey Bay Whale Festival, Offshore Superboat Championships, and the Fraser Coast Business and Tourism Awards. Opportunities exist for each of these events - check out our separate Events Prospectus for detailed offerings and information. We have positioned our Opportunity Points concept to allow you to quite easily be a part of a sponsorship package. If you want to use your points to host a table at the Relish Long Lunch, be a major sponsor of an event or attend the Business and Tourism Awards with your staff, it’s all transferable within your partnership package and it’s at a 25% discount! If you wanted to become an event’s sponsor, consider a full partnership package and get so much more value for your investment. Fraser Coast Opportunities Partnership Prospectus 2016/17 I 9
