TUI Cruises Tine Oelmann ~ Director Port Operations, Shore Excursions & Groundhandling Tine Oelmann has worked in the shipping business for more than 20 years. Starting working for ferry lines she changed to the German premium cruise line Peter Deilmann in 1993. After some years in Sales she changed to the Shore Excursion department. After 10 years she changed to the German port agency Sartori & Berger. The port agency offered a one-stop-shopping business including the classic agency service as well as ground handling and shore excursion services. As Manager Groundhandling & Shore Excursions Tine Oelmann developed and expanded the business continuously in 4 years handling nearly all cruise lines calling Germany. In April 2008 she joined the start up of the new branch TUI Cruises from the very beginning and is now responsible for all land based services as Director Port Operations, Shore Excursions & Groundhandling.
Thomas Rucht ~ Head of Port Operations Thomas Rucht, State-certified business economist, was trained in the hospitality industry and started his seagoing career with Hapag-Lloyds elegant liner EUROPA. After this, he changed to Viking River Cruises for some seasons. Overall, he has worked in the Cruise and River Cruise Industry for more than 15 years. Before joining TUI Cruises in April 2009 he was doing recruiting for top level positions on board major cruise lines. Thomas currently holds the position of Head of Port Operations at TUI Cruises.
