OUR CAMPAIGN TO GET OUT THE LATINX VOTE: A COMPLETE SUCCESS!

WHAT DID WE DO? DIGITAL REACH CAMPAIGN

We implemented a comprehensive digital strategy with informative marketing content that aimed to promote voter registration and voting among the Latinx communities in Arizona and Florida through demographic segmentation and based on cultural interests.

This strategy had 3 pillars: ● Calls to register people to vote ● Deliver information to help people create a voting plan (how/when they would go vote) ● Follow-up calling to vote as an exercise in democracy and citizen empowerment

DIRECT CONTACT CAMPAIGN

Over the course of 4 weeks, Corazón Latino quickly developed and executed a multilevel grassroots campaign to mobilize Latinx voters in Arizona, Florida, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Ohio.

This campaign had 3 main pillars: ● Recruiting volunteers through Reach ● Text message campaign with Hustle ● Call campaign for registered voters

This election had the highest participation rate among the Latinx community in US history, and Corazón Latino was able to be a part of that.

OUR ACHIEVEMENTS IN DIRECT CONTACT We successfully recruited 31 volunteers in Florida, 9 in Arizona, 3 in Michigan, and 5 in Colorado and Washington, D.C. WE REACHED 8,754 people across Arizona and Florida.

We got 411 voters involved, and 273 said they would bring 3 or more people to vote.

We reached 84,094 voters via Hustle (text messaging) in 2 weeks.

We made 16,784 phone calls in the 4 days leading up to the election.

OUR ACHIEVEMENTS ON FACEBOOK Our digital campaign was crucial to broadening the scope of our work and maintaining team morale. We posted excellent digital pieces that promoted our work and highlighted our milestones on a daily basis. The content was designed to connect with our Latinx community.

OUR WORK IS CULTURAL TOO We partnered with multilingual artists and other like-minded organizations to produce a variety of virtual concerts and events that encouraged Latinx individuals in the United States to exercise their right to vote! ●

New Mexico’s rising star Gabriella Salazar sang on November 2 to inform, empower, and mobilize Latinx communities to use the power of their vote. The concert was a collaboration between Corazón Latino, Moms Clean Air Force, and Gabriella Salazar. You can watch it here!

CONCLUSION Our entire program was focused on ensuring that we used our time efficiently to connect with as many voters in our target segment as possible, in the states where it mattered most. We also had a team of young people who were inspired to mobilize people in the election of our lives.

Our objective is to keep using all the platforms at our disposal to continue to educate and raise awareness about environmental issues and issues related to our natural environment, always with civic and social engagement.
