Conclusions and Policy Recommendations: Globalization is a process which significantly influencing our society, culture and economy a lot. It has influenced on different issues which are highly related with our society. Child care is becoming a social phenomenon in our society. The system is highly influenced by the globalization due to different factors of our society have been changing day by day. At present, our society is not limited within our culture. Now different factors, such as- western culture, technology, developed infrastructure to move one country to other country etc. have been influencing our society which compelled us to change our ideas, views, norms, values, attitudes etc. The main objective of this study was to find out the changes of the nature of child care due to globalization. Focus Group Discussion (FGD) was used to collect the data. We faced some problems while conducting research work, such as- shortage of time, financial limitations etc. This study attempts to find out the nature of the change of child care in urban areas especially in Dhaka city. The system of child care is much more different than it was before. People are more careful about their children development. Different reasons are available behind these changes. Mothers are giving more attention to their children to develop them properly. This era is a competitive era where every parent wants that their child do the best in every sphere in their life. That’s why they are giving much more concerns to their education. Rather than this, they are also giving more importance on their children’s’ food. They are trying to give healthy food which will be helpful for their children development. At present the family roles are changed by globalization. Number of single family is increasing day by day. It increases the responsibility of the parents. But at past, grandparents or other family members were playing importance role to take care of the children, where in today’s life most of the times domestic servants are playing the important role to take care of those roles which were performed by the family members before. Lots of reasons are available behind these changes in family roles in child care. Raising awareness among the parents is one of the main reasons behind these changes. Most of the cases parents are more educated than their parents were. They also don’t want to do any activity which will affect their children adversely.
