Fashion Revolution Philippines policy report on the impact of the importation of second-hand clothing. This study and policy dialogue with stakeholders explored the policies surrounding the ban and illegal import of 'ukay-ukay' (second-hand clothing). The discrepancy between the supposed ban and the popularity and prevalence of ukay-ukay raises several questions that this study aims to shed light on. Specifically, we focused on the impact of ukay-ukay on the economic, cultural, social, and environmental spheres of Philippine society, with a particular focus on how it affects the local fashion industry.
