timeless. Since the early 20’s all the way through to the 21st century the trend has somewhat always followed through into each year be it popular or not it’s been seen somewhere at some point. It’s diverse, it brightens up an outfit and it’s easy to wear. Of course, some may argue the trend is tacky and out of a date however, evidently that has been proven wrong. Zara for example, their intended target audience is upper class women and men however today the audiences that shop there can be young adults ranging from 16 to 25 years of age. Zara are known for being unique, they thrive off their unconventional and quirky designs. Animal print is a popular trend for them as it’s so contemporary.

The 1920’s was still a time where woman didn’t necessary show off their figures as such, over layering was massive and trench coats were always part of a women’s outfit, by the forties and fifties more skin

was on show, tight fitted garments were there to emphasise the womanly figure. By the sixties and seventies hats and bags were much more popular thus allowing the print to become a statement piece. After that came the eighties and nineties’ where leather and suede textures were compound together with the print allowing it to be worn in all seasons and jumpsuits became a phenomenon! Since the twenties began Kate Moss and fashion guru Alexa Chung have been known profoundly for their love of animal print. In 2015 Burberry’s fall collection proved that animal print is still excelling from the twenties all the way through to today.

Animal Print The Evolution of Animal Print... The craze of all things print began in the 1920’s. Even today it’s timeless, for centuries it’s has and still is a necessity nearly every woman will have somewhere in the back of her wardrobe. Be any clothing or accessory animal print has no signs of going out of trend anytime soon. By the 1960’s faux fur became an obsession thus leaving real fur to decline and decrease rapidly within stores. Animal print was known for being fierce and sexy, almost threatening like, when woman wore it, it gave them a sense of dominance and power.
