BUILDING AS AN ORGANIC MACHINE
stra Biz Centre is a â€œgiant organicsâ€?. It show an attemp to unite nature with people and technology. Astra Biz Centre integrates showroom, workshop, and offices in a single complex. The machine-related business related to this complex is balanced by open spaces, pedestrian facilities, and a
large public plaza with greeneries at its courtyard. The combination is so conceived to allow natural air circulation. Even the workshop in the basement level are designed to have a lot of openings. The openings allow residue produced by au-

tomotive services at the workshops to get out freely before getting neutralized by vegetation. All these allow the public plaza to have good air comfort.

The linear orientation of the building in relation to the main road of Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) makes Astra Biz Centre as an urban window. There is connectivity between the swohroom and the passersby who are able to see the showroomâ€™s display. Here, Interaction does not only entail inter-human relations. It is also about relation between people and object related to the project.

A spacious open space is designed to attract visitors of the Astra Biz Centre to gather, interact and carry out various activities. The center of this open spcae is a plaza surrounded by showrooms of Honda, AFFCO, and Toyota. The scale of this particular area offers a more public character. In the middle of this plaza, there is a sunken plaza of AFFCO which functions as an exhibition area. The area is also a point of people’s gathering. The placing of the spaces interaction here with, results in integration between open public space and tenant’s showrooms. Overall the open space is located on the complex’s east side, hence providing a comfortable situasion during the day and evening. The Astra Biz Centre is conceived not only as an ordinary complex of workshops, showrooms and office, but also as a place for interaction and creativeness for South Tangerang. Astra Biz Centre is designed as a centre of community for automotive enthusiasts. As such, the areas at the project are designed as integrated and synergized with one another. It does not only focus on one particular automotive brand. It also allows a number of automotive brands to create activities and attraction at BSD. The “Organic Machine” determines the curvilinear shape of the roof. It is formed by stell frames that are supported by concrete columns. The heights of each building is kept with the surrounding houseing complexes as the form of interaction with its surroundings. The complex’s materials are dominated by various stones, especially on the landscape and wall surfaces. In some parts of the complex, glass and aluminium combination is applied. All these are combined with the presence of natural lights.

The natural ventilation mainly using the huge void inside the building, and it continous to the roof, and covered by skylight, but create a gp between void and skylight, so it make the natural vantilation work well for the building.

The City of 700 Years of History
he historycal trails around the city of Suncheon are abundant yet they haven’t received enought spotlight in order for people to appreciate them. Currently, major tourist spots of Suncheon are dispersed around the site of the Art Platform at varoius distances. They are divided into three substantial types. Historical (Naganeupsong Folk Village, Yeonja-Ru, etc), Modern (Open Film set, Art Gallery, etc), and Ecological. (Suncheonman Bay National Garden, Wetland Reserve, etc). These establishments created
a converging movement of various individuals carrying out their activities across the streets of Suncheon as they continue writing the history of Suncheon. There are two actors operatong at the city of Suncheon; the Inhabitant & the Visitor. These two work side by side, complementing each other in the progress. Thus, reflecting the spirit of Taeguk that corresponds to the National Flag. The Ecological City’s potential as a top tourist destination is architecturally encouraged by nurturing the local resident’s creative culture and historical awareness. This way both party will simultaneously benefit Suncheon’s existence as creative eco-city. Whether for the people who live htere or visitors who came to observe and travel, this is Kriss Kross! at Suncheon. Integrated Social Space The public space is arranged with concern of having various architectural experiences while keepinh true to each and every function. Being a rendezvous point for diverse individual and activitieas, the experience is oriented toward the process of entering a space, whther as a local or a visitor, all intended for a proper appreciation of the architectural programs. Multiple open spaces with different treatment were established to encourage a process of architecrture meeting its user while fostering some kind of a relationship that benefits each other. The community developed from these interactions will contribute to the color of Suncheonâ€™s future history. The New Yeonja-Ru Located at the main entrance with connection to the riverwalk, the New Yeonja-Ru is a monumental gesture of historical appreciation, while serving the public needs of interactive space. The ground floor is cafetaria, as an extention of the central market and supports the function of the art center. Upstairs is an art gallery for exhibiting the aspects of the cityâ€™s past life.

EXPERIENCE For years, people who came to Santa Monica enjoy the empty Ocean view from the Pier or from the Ferris Wheel. How about if we give something different? How about give the people Ferris Wheel and city view from the ocean? And if that too much, why just enjoy the view from the beach of the new beautiful sculpture on Santa Monica Ocean? It will be a wonderful public space on the daylight and beautiful light attraction in the evening. CONCEPT Wave Energy Coralline use wave energy as a primary concept. From the other renewable energy resources, wave energy is stabil. Wave energy can gather and transfer large amounts of energy extremely efficiently. It is clean and sustainable. Coralline uses modified power buoy as energy storage system. The traditional system of buoy wave energy has three main part in its body: float assembly on the ocean, spar, and heave flat on the ocean floor. This system have many disadvantage, such as: 1. Change natural ocean habitat and less efficient. Some expert believe wave energy arrays will creating new and different habitat types. In one case, during 2005 and 2006 summer in US, about 150 kg of organisms were estimated to have been attached to a single 3 metre diameter buoy. This may initially appear a cause for concern, in terms of the equipmentsâ€™ efficiency. 2. Wave energy arrays will introduce many large, hard structures on ocean floor. 3. Underwater noise from construction and operation. 4. The occasionally dislodges from anchors and any further navigation difficulties. 5. Torn apart during violent storms at sea and it is unattractive.
Upside down Power Buoy In Coralline we propose a modified power buoy, an upside down power buoy. A normal power buoy put its generator and spar under water, but this time we draw the generator and spar above the water surface, leave only float assembly on the water. We want to create a clean ocean floor, with minimum intervention. There are 305 power buoy that tie together above the ocean, So, there are no wires, spars and many generators under the water, except the core to support the power buoy. ENERGY ESTIMATION For buoy specification; • The diameter of each float is 2.7 m. • Spar diameter is 1.0 m. • Height variations from 20 m to 70m. • Each buoy has 80% availability of power capacity or around 8400 Wh/day, it is means “Coralline” with 305 buoy in it, produce around 2562 kW/day. • Payload peak power up to 3kW peak power to load; 7.500 W • Zero wave day capacity is 100 W load for two weeks.
Coral Literally, Coralline is amount of power buoys, put together in one sculpture. Coralline stands for coral and line (energy line), energy line that takes a coral shape. Why coral? Corals are major contributors to the physical structure of the coral reefs that develop in tropical and subtropical waters. Coral reef frameworks can serve as physical buffers for ocean waves and currents. As waves pass over a reef structure, their energy can be reduced by 7595% which can lessen their impact as they reach the shore. Based on that fact, we want to create another function beside a power buoy and sculpture, that function is a break water to support the old break water. Furthermore, coral itself is a symbol of life. Begin with a coral, turn into coral reef, fish species that live in the outer seas use the reefs as places to spawn and raise their fry. Coral reefs are described as the tropical forests of the ocean, providing shelter and spawning grounds to a wide range of ocean life, coral reefs serve an important role in the marine ecosystem. Therefore, with Coralline , we want to make a meaningful artwork, the symbol of life, a beautiful reminder for everyone to keep our planet, to respect our mother earth. Environmental Impact Coralline has better improvement than conventional power bouy. With minimize machine intervention on ocean floor and under water, we minimize the changing of natural ecosistem. Clear ocean floor make some activities like diving become possible. Power buoy also works as a barrier (like a break water).
