These masters of excellence have taken their expertise to four major continents. Italian-made expertise exported for use in the most iconic projects all over the world. From Australia to the Middle East. From Galleria Vittorio Emanuele in Milan to the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi, from Casa Casuarina in Miami to the most prestigious residences all over the world. L’azienda è nata più di un secolo fa, e le tre generazioni precedenti che l’hanno gestita hanno lottato per mantenere l’altissima qualità e le tecniche uniche inalterate. Questo catalogo è dedicato a loro, che rappresentano 110 anni di vita di un’azienda. Sono le nostre risorse più preziose e hanno contribuito molto al nostro progresso. Hanno creato dei capolavori, e non solo. Hanno fatto la storia con il loro lavoro e il loro stile unico ammirato dai maestri dell’architettura.
L’ambizione e la forza della prima generazione hanno ispirato generazioni di artigiani italiani in questi 110 anni.
Ogni persona che lavora nell’azienda continua ad essere motivata dalla volontà di creare pezzi che durano più di un secolo per la loro qualità e bellezza. In questo momento difficile per il “Made in Italy”, Fantini continua a guardare al suo passato come ad un pilastro su cui basare il futuro. The company has been around for more than a century, and the three previous generations of Fantinis who managed it fought to maintain the highest quality and unique working methods and techniques. This catalogue is dedicated to them – representing the 110 years of the company’s life - they have been our most valuable resources, contributing to our progress. They not only created masterpieces, they made history with their work and created a unique style of working admired by the masters of architecture.
The admirable motivation and strength of the first generation has inspired generations of Italian artisans for 110 years.
The willingness to manufacture pieces that last over a century in terms of quality and beauty continues to motivate every member of the company. In these difficult times for “Made in Italy” businesses, Fantini continues to look to and reflect on its past as these are the pillars upon which it can base its future. Una delle tradizioni più importanti è sempre stata quella di creare lavoro in Italia per gli artigiani qualificati che lavorano nell’azienda. Dal 2004 al 2009 , Fantini Mosaici ha creato posti di lavoro per più di 200 persone in Italia. In più, ha affidato il compito di trasportare gli interni di uno dei progetti più emblematici del Medio Oriente – la Moschea Sheikh Zayed Bin Al Nahyan ad Abu Dhabi – a piccolemedie imprese italiane. Fantini Mosaici ha scelto aziende italiane come partner in questo progetto senza precedenti per sostenere il “Made in Italy”. Nel 2010, ad Enrico Fantin, responsabile di questo progetto per il governo degli Emirati Arabi Uniti, è stato assegnato il premio “Lombardia per il Lavoro” dalla Regione Lombardia, come riconoscimento dell’impegno dell’azienda nel creare posti di lavoro in Lombardia per diverse generazioni.
One of the most important family traditions has been its commitment to generating jobs in Italy for the qualified artisans who work in the company. From 2004 to 2009, Fantini Mosaici created jobs for more than 200 people in Italy and hired small to mid-sized companies to help deliver the interiors of one of the most iconic projects in the Middle East: The Sheikh Zayed Bin Al Nahyan Mosque in Abu Dhabi. Fantini Mosaici chose Italian companies as partners to work on this unprecedented project, maintaining its support of Italian-made quality. In 2010, Enrico Fantin, who oversaw this project for the UAE government, received the “Lombardia per Il Lavoro Award 2010” from the Region of Lombardy in recognition of the company’s commitment to creating jobs in Lombardy over several generations.

La crescita dell’azienda è stata ispirata dall’arte e guidata sempre dai vecchi maestri dell’architettura come Muzio, Scarpa, Bobo Piccoli, Ferrari, Vigo, Sambonet, Somain, Funi e De Chirico (questi ultimi due hanno creato i disegni per i pavimenti della Triennale). The company’s growth has been inspired by art, and always guided by old masters of architecture such as Muzio, Scarpa, Bobo Piccoli, Ferrari, Vigo, Sambonet, Somaini, Funi and De Chirico (the cartoons for the floor of the Triennale were drawn by the last two).
I lavori più importanti durante la prima fase di vita dell’azienda
(1900-1925) includono i pavimenti della Galleria del Corso Vittorio Emanuele, i pavimenti del Cinema Odeon, i pavimenti dell’Abbazia di Crescenzago e i pavimenti in mosaico del famoso Tennis Club di Milano.
Durante la seconda fase dell’azienda
(1925-1968), Fantini Mosaici è stata artefice di altri importanti lavori, fra i quali: i pavimenti dell’Università Cattolica e i pavimenti dell’Università Agraria di Firenze, i pavimenti della Triennale di Milano, il rivestimento e il soffitto dell’Arengario di Milano, i pavimenti della sede della Banca di Bergamo, i pavimenti del Palazzo del Melograno e del Sigurtà di Genova, i pavimenti dell’Ospedale di Feltre del Nuovo Ospedale di Rho, i pavimenti dei palazzi governativi a Tripoli e a Benghazi in Libia e a Tirana in Albania, il rivestimento esterno della Banca Popolare di Milano, i pavimenti ricostituiti in pietra dell’Accademia di Brera e la sala delle tappezzerie del Castello Sforzesco di Milano.
The most important works from the earliest phase of the company (1900-1925)
include: the floor in the Galleria del Corso Vittorio Emanuele, the floor in the Odeon Cinema, the floor in the Abbey of Crescenzago and the mosaic floor at the famous Milan Tennis Club.
Fantini Mosaici was also responsible for some important works during its second phase (1925-1968): the floor in the Università Cattolica and the Università Agraria in Florence, the floor in the Triennale in Milan, the cladding and ceiling of the Arengario in Milan, the floor in the Banca di Bergamo headquarters, the floor in the Palazzo del Melograno e della Sigurtà in Genoa, the floor in Feltre hospital and the Nuovo Ospedale in Rho, the floor in the government buildings in Tripoli, in Benghazi and in Tirana, Albania, the external cladding of the Banca Popolare di Milano, the reconstituted stone floor in the Brera Academy and the tapestry room in the Castello Sforzesco, Milan.

La terza fase dello sviluppo
dell’azienda è iniziata nel 1 969
con altri importanti lavori sotto la direzione di Italo e Marco Fantini. Tra i primi e più importanti progetti ci sono stati i pavimenti in mosaico della Banca Popolare di Milano nelle sedi di Legnano, Busto Cuggiano e Busto Arsizio e i pavimenti in mosaico nel Centro Civico di Pieve Emanuele progettato da Guido Canella. Tra gli altri importanti lavori: i pavimenti del Palazzo delle Ex Stelline, i pavimenti e il rivestimento delle sedi della Nuova Banca Popolare di Novara a Novara e Venezia, i pavimenti del Centro Studi del Credito Italiano a Gerno, i pavimenti della Piazza di Cislago e i pavimenti del Castelletto di Macconago.
The third phase of the company’s development began in 1969, when it carried out other important works under the management of Italo and Marco Fantini. The first and most important was the mosaic floor in the Banca Popolare di Legnano in Legnano, Busto, Cuggiano and Busto Arsizio, and the mosaic floor in the Pieve Emanuele Civic Center designed by Guido Canella. Dal 1994 Fantini Marmi completa il lavoro di Fantini Mosaici selezionando le migliori pietre ornamentali come marmo, onice, granato e altre, usate per rivestimenti e decorazioni.
Al nuovo reparto dell’azienda Fantini sono stati affi dati progetti di pavimenti in marmo e mosaico per le boutique monomarca in tutto il mondo di Abercrombie, Prada, Versace, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Hermes, Marni, Etro, Frette, Pomellato e molte altre esclusive boutique di moda.
Since 1994, Fantini Marmi complements the work of Fantini Mosaici by selecting the very best from the ornamental stone industry including marble, onyx, granite and more, to be used for decoration and cladding. With this new addition to the company, Fantini secured the business of brand boutiq ues worldwide, providing marble and mosaic floor for Abercrombie, Prada, Versace, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Hermes, Marni, Etro, Frette, Pomellato and many other exclusive fashion boutiques.

Nel 2004 l’azienda ha fatto un altro grande passo avanti con l’assegnazione di un contratto internazionale importantissimo per il design, la manifattura e l’installazione degli interni della terza moschea più grande del mondo ad Abu Dhabi. Dalla sua sede di Milano, l’azienda è diventata una realtà globale continuando a dimostrare di saper adattare i mosaici decorativi ai bisogni del design e dell’architettura moderni. Nel 2004, l’azienda ha aperto un uffi cio in Medio Oriente per gestire e coordinare i grandi progetti nella regione.
In 2004, the company took another step forward in its development with the award of a major international contract to design, fabricate and install the interior of the third largest mosque in the world, in Abu Dhabi. From its headquarters in Milan, the company has gone global, continuing to demonstrate its ability to adapt decorative mosaic to the needs of modern architecture and design. And in 2004 the company opened a Middle East branch office to coordinate the logistics of major projects that are taking place in the region.

L’azienda ha creato pregevoli esemplari per Casa Casuarina a Miami, il loro showroom esclusivo a Los Angeles, Palazzo Versace sulla Gold Coast in Australia, i palazzi reali in Marocco, Arabia Saudita e Qatar, gli uffici privati e i palazzi dell’ Emiro del Qatar, uffici governativi a Tripoli e alberghi di lusso in Italia, Dubai, Portogallo, Australia, India, Praga, Londra, Parigi, New York e tante altre metropoli. L’azienda ha cominciato inoltre a lavorare per persone con ville private al Cairo, Tokyo e Mosca, cercando di soddisfare al meglio i loro bisogni.

The company has also begun catering to the needs of a number of individuals with private residences in Cairo, Tokyo and Moscow.
