Introduction This is a series of photography work made by film photography and hand rendering printing method. It was done during first year studying photography imaging in Polytechnic University of Hong Kong. I tried to learn and study from the professional photographer and related works, and finished this project, from creating the story, preparing the props and setting of studio, doing photo shooting and printing. This publication is recording the process and products of the project.

This is a story about a young rick lady. Once she was trying to wear her beloved accessories, she then fallen into the trap of her favourite treasure and struggling to escape from it.

This story is an irony of materialism within teenagers. A youngster ho addicted to the latest and expensive products, fashion or brand, which is similar to the rich laady indulging in her jewelries. Many people may think that they could get happiness when immersing into pool of rich, they will never know it will finally trapped by what they love. Of course, when blaming about teenagers, however, we could find the media is a kind of devil triggering them to be materialistc as well. These can be reected on the photos and the techniques used in the project.

To provide a silhouette effect, we could set a spot light by making a whole of the backdrop and put it at the back of the model. Since it is impossible for us to set in this way, we set 2 spot light at the back, and set a longer distance from the model to the backdrop to outstand the silhouette effect.

As the composition of photo is focusing on the accessories and the movement of model, other than the silhouette effect, I adjust the sport light pointing to the body part. With a slow camer shutter speed, the motion effect will be more outstanding.

Since the story is a kind of surreal fantasy, inspired by the photos of photographer, Man Ray, I used different printing skills like rayography, helping me to reach my purpose.

Developer was printed and squashed on the film paper by brush.
