very best in the country!” Jayne Warburton, CEO at 3P Learning, said: “We are delighted and very proud to have been part of this exciting challenge, and we would like to thank all the students who took part. The competition was fundamentally about changing the way young people perceive maths, putting it into an arena previously reserved for sport, and celebrating improvement as well as outstanding achievement. Our philosophy of the freedom to learn and the freedom to teach is about growing an aspirational and inclusive learning community. We believe that young people can love learning and start to improve their maths and numeracy skills.” Valerie Thompson, CEO at e-Learning Foundation said: “Technology and exciting learning materials are a powerful combination that can build young people’s confidence in and enjoyment of maths. We are particularly pleased that recognition was also given to the most improved students. It has been a privilege to see the exciting ways that maths education can be enhanced through the format of an on-line competition.” Pictured: Student Emma helped her form to gain vital points and snap up the bronze trophy.
