Save our Sports Centre! Sport and Leisure charity Fusion, has launched an online petition to support a new sport and leisure initiative in Camden. The Mornington Sport & Fitness Centre could be transformed into a brand new leisure centre right in the heart of Camden or it could be bought by a property developer and be lost to the community. The future of the once-popular centre lies very much in the balance. In need of a major investment, the council recently had it closed, but plans are now afoot to completely redevelop the site and add

Fusion Lifestyle, a registered charity specializing in delivering affordable sports and fitness to the community, has placed a bid to buy the old Mornington Sport & Fitness Centre. This bid includes an investment of more than £3 million that will fund both the complete renovation of the centre as well as substantially extend the facilities at the Arlington Road site.
