Brain Tumor Research Breakfast A Success!!

Many thanks to all who participated in our first (and we hope annual) patient centered breakfast and seminar about brain tumor research. Specifically, the talks focused on data obtained from our “Nervous System Biorepository,” also known as our “brain tumor tissue bank.” We could not do the work we do without patients and family members making the (sometimes) tough decision to donate tissue.

Over 60 patients and family members attended and heard brief lectures from some of our most impressive leaders in the field of brain tumor research. New information is being discovered daily, some of which will eventually change the prognosis for many patients. Many thanks to all who took time out of their busy weekend to speak and to attend!

Kevin Morrow, MD – our Neurosurgical Oncology Fellow came to us from Medical School at LSU, Shreveport, and completed his residency at LSU Health, New Orleans. We have had a great year and wish him well as he moves on this summer.
