BRAIN COMPUTER INTERFACE LAB NEWS
Continuing our work to become the fifth national brain-computer interface (BCI) lab in the country, we have recently received IRB approval for implanting BCI in humans! We are now working towards getting Neuropixels in humans. These have 980 recording channels on a needle shank that is thinner than a human hair. These probes will provide a path for studying human-specific cognitive processes and their dysfunction at unprecedented spatiotemporal resolution
THANK YOU AND FAREWELL
Dr. Jacob Bernstein has been our Fellow in Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery. He joined us last summer from Riverside University Health System and we wish him well with his future endeavors.
