We are a family of faith, sharing God’s love in a spirit of hope.

On Good Friday, April 19, you are invited to go back in time and follow Jesus’ footsteps through the week leading up to his death and resurrection. Our guides will lead families in a multisensory experience as they “travel” together to each destination within the church, drawing closer to Jesus and each other. Groups will depart every 10-15 minutes between 6 and 8 p.m. Calling All Artists! The Children’s Team would like to display art from members of our congregation during the Road to Resurrection. There is no theme or requirements, and all ages and genre are welcome, even poetry and writing. If you’d like to participate, email Amanda at amandalanglands@yahoo.com, or bring your piece to church by Thursday, April 18th.

In April, We Can Make A Difference! The children will spend the month doing hands-on projects to help others in our community. If you haven’t already begun one, you can pick up your family Lenten Altars in the foyer or the sanctuary.

Our youth fundraiser on April 14th at 5:30 pm is a new twist on our annual dessert auction! This year we’ll auction off desserts and dinners! If you would like to make something to be auctioned, please let Sharon know. Thanks for all of your support!

{April: a lovely reminder of how beautiful change can be!!} Join us on Monday, April 15, for our senior adult lunch at 11 a.m. On Friday, April 26, meet us at the church at 11:00 for a scenic drive to the Kentucky Castle in Versailles for a tasty lunch of farm-to-table food grown on their 55 acres.

Thank you for caring for those in need, for being the light! - Dale

Mark your calendars now to be present with us on Sunday, April 28, for both Sunday school and worship! Artist Dave Flora will be joining us during the Sunday School hour to talk about his art, inspiration, and his first book, Drawn From the Gospel: An Artistic Response to Worship. Flora will then participate in our worship service by creating an art piece inspired by our worship time together. Flora is a published author and illustrator of books, games, and magazines. Flora works at Morehead State University as the Director of Distance Education and has been a member of Morehead’s First Baptist Church for fourteen years. In 2015, he started creating interpretive art during worship services at First Baptist, and he has created artwork every Sunday since. Drawn from the Gospel, a collection of nearly two years of Sunday worship service art, is his first religious book.

Dave lives in Fleming County with his wife, Ann, and once ran over a cow with a tractor. She was fine. You can read more about Dave Flora and view some of his original artwork at www.drawnfromthegospel.com.

On April 14th, we need you to come to Sunday school! Let’s repeat that: We REALLY need you to come to Sunday school. That morning, which is also Palm Sunday, professional photographers will be with us during Sunday school and worship, taking photographs for the new Faith website. Because smaller groups are ideal for the new website photos, the photographers will come around to both adult and children’s classes to take pictures. Please mark your calendars now to be present with us that morning. Thanks for helping us make the new website the best it can be!
