We develop each shirt from scratch starting with selecting the finest long staple 2 ply cotton yarns. Our patterns are designed with a vintage inspired feel using colors that have a unique, sunfaded look. The fabrics are finished with an innovative brushing technique to ensure that they are the softest you can find. All seams are double reinforced for ultimate durability.

COWICHAN SWEATER Inspired by Vintage Cowichan Sweaters made in British Columbia

Cowichan is a style of knitting which originated in the Vancouver Islands, British Columbia by the native Cowichan people. Distinctively known for their patterns and heavy knitting, they kept fisherman dry and families warm throughout the winter. Knitters began using fairisle motifs in the early 1900’s, creating designs based on images significant to their culture and surroundings. These designs were passed down through generations and in time became symbols representing each Cowichan family.

We took the same approach using elements that we love, the sun, waves, and palm trees. In the second generation of this brand favorite, the yarn has been elevated to an alpaca and wool blend. Warm enough to wear as a jacket, the jacquard construction ensures a cozy, insulated body. We like to think of our Cowichan as an heirloom piece that can be worn season after season.

REVERSIBLE CREWNECKS An extremely versatile style with two layers of fabric flawlessly sewn together to turn inside out and wear — so you have two great styles in one. Our process to create this special fabric begins by selecting the finest long staple heathered yarns. Working closely with the engineers at our fabric mill, we knit these yarns at a loose gauge to create a lighteweight yet “sweater like” feel. The result is one of our softest fabrics yet.

INSPIRED OUTERWEAR Some of our country’s most beautiful weavings come from the handlooms built by Native Americans. We’ve been collecting different textiles for years, and each season we take inspiration for our collection a design original motifs.
