Fitness tips
number one
Embrace the power of 10
Ten minutes of walking three times a day has been shown to lower blood pressure more effectively than a longer 30-minute bout of walking.
number two
Take the stairs
The elevator at work or at the mall may be a nice convenience, but taking the stairs will strengthen your heart, burn extra calories, and tone your entire lower body.
number three
Choose activities you like
A lot of different things count as exercise: dancing, walking, gardening, yoga, cycling, playing basketball. To make it easier to get moving, choose whatever gets you moving.
number four
The hydration equation
Hydration is one of the most important aspects for a healthy and energised body. Try to achieve an intake of 0.033ml per kilo of body weight per day. For example a 70kg person should aim to drink 70 x 0.033 = 2.3litres. So make sure to load up on water.

number one
Use a moisturiser to avoid dry skin. Find a moisturiser that’s oil-based, rather than waterbased, as the oil will create a protective layer on the skin that retains more moisture than a cream or lotion.
If your diet contains too much sugar, you have a higher chance of weight gain and tooth decay. Cutting these foods out of your diet can significantly reduce your risk of these chronic health conditions.

number two
Having a hot bath during winter season does feel great, but the intense heat of a hot bath or shower can lead to loss of moisture in our skin. Lukewarm water is much better for a bath during winter.
Branch out beyond bright and dark green lettuce. Kale, mustard greens, broccoli, and Chinese cabbage are just a few of the options—all packed with calcium, magnesium, iron, potassium, zinc, and vitamins A, C, E, and K.

Avoid hot baths
number three
Sleep on your back
Sleeping on your back will prevent many wrinkles and breakouts on your face. Sleeping on two or three pillows at a time, or putting a wedge pillow under your regular pillow will help get rid of dark circles under your eyes.
number four
Skin care routine
Follow a good skin care routine. Make sure to exfoliate to get rid of dead and dry skin that accumulates and makes your complexion appear dull. Use oatmeal as an exfoliator instead of a packaged product.
Avoid sugar
Go green
number three Mini-meals
Eat four to five meals or snacks per day, as it controls the appetite and your weight. Divide your daily calories into smaller meals or snacks, enjoying most of them earlier in the day; dinner being the last time you eat.
number four Reduce starch
You can save from 100-200 calories if you reduce the portion of starch on your plate and increase the amount of vegetables. Swap pastas with veggies!
