Ilona Mandyradzhy, womenswear fashion designer origina�ng from Ukraine. In 2022 was honored to be selected as a BFC Scholar, that allowed her to further develop her vision and create a gradua�on collec�on at Birmingham City University that celebrates Ilona’s na�onal heritage and ethnic culture. Through her design work, Ilona strives to be a catalyst for meaningful conversa�ons and to challenge societal norms. The designer believes that fashion has the power to provoke thought, evoke emo�ons, and ul�mately drive posi�ve change. The design aesthe�c of MANDYRADZHY brand is rooted in minimalism, where simplicity, �meless and elegance take center stage. However, the brand’s design philosophy goes beyond tradi�onal minimalism. The Designer incorporates elements of deconstruc�on and futuris�c influences to add a dis�nc�ve edge to her crea�ons. This juxtaposi�on of contras�ng elements brings a sense of innova�on and unexpectedness to designs. The philosophy of the brand claims that fashion has the poten�al to mo�vate and inspire.

The cultural heritage of a par�cular region has a huge impact on the forma�on of a person’s individuality, his/her worldview, and the concept of aesthe�cs. Tradi�onal cra�s have been passed down from genera�on to genera�on for centuries and, unfortunately, are losing their relevance. This collec�on was created with the aim of transforming and modernizing tradi�ons by integra�ng the cultural heritage of Ukraine that is close to my heart and my life into modern Fashion.





Look 2: The ourfit consists of a crop jacket and skirt. The Jacket is made of fabric 50% linen, 50% co�on. The jacket has a V-neckline, that elegantly emphasizes the neckline of any woman. The belt is op�onal and can be adjustable. The skirt is worn at mid-hip height and is adjustable. The skirt includes two deep cuts on the hips.



Look 3: The ou�it consist of three elements: hand-embroidered blouse, hand-embroidered belt and wide trousers. The blouse and trousers are made from ecru fabric 10% wool, 90% linen. The embroidery on the blouse symbolize the amulet.

ths ou�it are hand-made sleeves from shepps`s of a dress repeats the silhoue�e of a bra.
