FOUNDATION FOR RESEARCH OF THE STATE OF MINAS GERAIS FAPEMIG finances scientific, technological and innovation research projects in several areas and promotes human resources training programs for science, technology and innovation; Existing innovation financing lines: Pró-Inovação: A partnership with BDMG, this line finances innovative products, processes and services developed by companies established in Minas Gerais Proptec: also a partnership between FAPEMIG and BDMG, this line is reserved to companies located in the state’s technological parks and is designed to support implantation, expansion and modernization investment projects In 2017, FAPEMIG maintained 3,479 projects in execution, corresponding to more than R$ 686 million in investments. The resources executed by the institution in the same year amount to R$ 294 million, of which almost 7% was applied directly in private companies. Most part of them, 67%, was invested in public federal research institutions located in Minas Gerais.
