GUÍA DE TIPOLOGÍAS

Con esos criterios transversales, se busca generar tipologías de vivienda rural para ámbitos de intervención diferenciados, en primera instancia, según la zona bioclimática correspondiente. Esto implica identificar dichas, recopilar y proponer herramientas para la identificación de la zona bioclimática particular y generar una solución arquitectónica que responda de manera ideal, a las circunstancias climáticas específicas.

SYSTEMIC APPROACH

Asimismo, se busca incorporar criterios ambientales, analizando el ciclo de vida de la infraestructura para definir soluciones constructivas con menores impactos ambientales, de tal manera que se pueda identificar las soluciones óptimas para las nuevas viviendas. De esta forma, se introducen consideraciones y especificaciones técnicas que hacen más eficiente el uso de recursos y disminuyen los impactos ambientales de las viviendas a lo largo de su ciclo de vida.

Además de los criterios bioclimáticos y medioambientales, se busca incorporar criterios socioculturales, que, a través de criterios de organización y caracterización de los ambientes de la vivienda, hagan que esta sea más fácilmente aceptada y que considere las costumbres y expectativas de sus futuros propietarios. En la misma línea se plantea considerar la situación particular de la vivienda en el ámbito rural como un instrumento fundamental en los procesos productivos de la familia.

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR PROJECTS 5 - PUCP

Adobe and Brick pavilion, designed by architecture students, over the course of 6 months, and built in two weeks by students, with the aid od local workforce.

The new Visitor Center for Cerro de Oro archaeological site in Cañete, Perú, also serves the community as gathering center, for local festivities, workshops, and classes for kids. It was built thanks to the colaboration of the World Monuments Fund, and the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.

The role as assistant professor was to guide the students along the design process, explaining traditional construction techniques, and oversee the building site during the construction phase.
