In this issue, we reintroduce our payment processing product to merchants through our new and improved VeriFone point of sale devices.

Sagicor System Upgrade In an effort to improve our product offerings and to serve you, our valued cardholders, we are currently working on improving our credit card platform. This means that in the next few weeks, there will be changes to the system. We anticipate that these changes will make using and benefiting from your Sagicor Bank credit card much more convenient and rewarding.

We are doing our very best to ensure that you are not impacted in any way. If you are, our friendly and knowledgeable Client Care representatives are available at 1-888-SAGICOR (724-4267) or SBJ_CardServices@sagicor.com if you should require any assistance.

KEY POINTS 1. Changes to Statement Layout •

Summary of key cardholder agreement terms on the rear;

Ability to change account information (name, address) by submission with supporting documents;

Full bank contact information details.

2. Improved Card Mailer • Reminders of the importance of card activation on receipt of credit cards; •

Differentiation of new credit cards and renewal credit cards;

Clear contact numbers for the Client Contact Centre for customer service assistance.

3. For those of you who had Dual Currency Cards, you are now able to make your payments easier, in US Dollars (US$) only, if you chose to do so. It is also important to note that as of November 9, if you have access to e-Bank, your previous Jamaican Dollar (J$) transactions will only be available for viewing on your credit card statements. If you are not yet registered for e-bank, now is a good time to do so. More information ahead!

PLATINUM CARDHOLDERS TO RECEIVE SMS ALERTS! As we improve the security features on our credit cards, Sagicor Bank MasterCard Platinum cardholders will start receiving SMS/text alerts for transactions over J$20,000. These alerts will instruct cardholders to immediately communicate with the Contact Centre to verify certain transactions. SMS will include the following transaction details: - Transaction Amount; - Merchant Name; - Transaction Date & Time; - Number to call if transaction was not done by cardholder. Efforts are being made to bring this feature to other cardholders in the near future to improve Fraud Monitoring of transactions through this process.

Cardholders are being encouraged to sign up and make use of e-bank as it is more convenient than visiting a branch. Accessing e-bank is easy. Cardholders are being encouraged to submit an application to register for our online banking. To register, visit Sagicor’s web page at sagicorjamaica.com, then click on Forms and select “Personal E-banking” from the Banking list. Fill in the form and submit to your nearest Sagicor Bank branch to start the process. The registration will be completed within 5 business days.

National Cyber Security Awareness October is recognized as National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM) each year. As such, we advise you, our valued clients of the security steps you should take before using your credit cards online. Ensure you are confident you know who you are dealing with and that you are dealing with a reputable company/ organisation with a proven track record. Contact the provider prior to the transaction to confirm, whenever possible. If any doubt exists do not use the provider. •

Keep passwords and username completely confidential. Any legitimate payment provider will never request details in regards to your pin number or password. Do not e-mail your credit card number to any provider. Look for a padlock site or a solid key in the status bar at the bottom of the window to indicate you are on a secure page. These symbols mean the information you are sending is encrypted and cannot be read by other internet user.

Do not click on pop-up windows when making payments or go to different links on the site.

Ideally, the website should cover delivery method and costs; currency accepted; return and refund policies; any taxes that are applied; contact telephone number and email address. Read these carefully.

Check your statement ensuring the correct amount has been debited as per your records.

The physical security of the card is the cardholder’s personal responsibility.

Report lost cards immediately.

Report suspicious merchant behaviour or if you suspect that your card might have been compromised.

Secure site address box should start with https:// and NOT http://. Sites that start with https:// have an added encrypted layer.
