Editor’s Note

A sanctuary for creators, visionaries, and everyday architects of change who understand that the world we live in is not inherited, it’s shaped With every choice, every act of courage, and every creation infused with purpose, we are building the future. And this issue is a living testament to that truth.

The theme for this relaunch is “The World We Create. ”

Not the one we’re told to accept Not the one driven by systems we didn’t choose But the one born from soul-aligned creation and from beauty that heals, innovation that uplifts, and voices that refuse to be edited out of history

You’ll meet artists and changemakers who are not just reflecting culture, but redirecting it.

You’ll read stories of transformation that defy linear progress And you’ll witness what happens when a woman reaffirms her power and chooses to lead from the centre of it.

As we turn this page together, I am honoured to reveal something even more expansive. The birth of International Vanguard Executive Alliance (IVEA), a new global leadership council built under the eYs Global Vanguard umbrella. This assembly is not symbolic. It is structural It exists to gather the brave, the builders, the boundary-breakers who are no longer willing to wait for permission to lead

This council will shape policy, elevate legacy leaders, and redefine what governance and global stewardship look like in the era ahead And yes, you’re invited not by status, but by soul

We didn’t just return We remembered who we are And now, we create the world that remembers us.

This isn’t just a publication It’s a pulse

It beats in rhythm with every artist who dared to start again, every mother who rebuilt from nothing, every leader who chose legacy over performance

eYs Magazine exists because stories like yours were never optional They were always necessary We’ve simply restored the platform that honours them. In these pages, we refuse the polished narratives that mask pain with perfection Instead, we give space to the raw, the real, and the radiant, as well as the makers of meaning who are crafting the new architecture of humanity

You’ll see reflections of yourself in every paragraph Not as a consumer, but as a contributor to the world we are daring to reimagine And for those who feel called to more, to serve, to shape, to speak with clarity in rooms that were never designed for you, International Vanguard Executive Alliance (IVEA) is your seat at the sovereign table We are not waiting for global systems to catch up

“We are becoming the system that sets the standard. ”

Heart-Mind coherence helps leaders:

- Make the best decisions that reflect both rational analysis and emotional insight.

- Be transparent and emotionally attuned, and encourage others to be vulnerable

- Understand their team's needs, challenges and desires

- Inspire collaboration and resilience

- Build credibility and connect on a human level, not just a professional one

- Show vulnerability and openness, and encourage others to do the same.

- Create an atmosphere where emotional dynamics are acknowledged and addressed

- Build more harmonious relationships and more effective teamwork

A conscious leader who well communicates with mind and heart, doesn't just manage

their team, they invest in the personal

growth of their team They become a model of self-awareness, self-care, and emotional growth, encouraging others to evolve in both their personal and professional lives

Another positive outcome of leading with the heart and heart-mind coherence is developing emotional agility Emotional agility allows leaders to embrace uncertainty and change with confidence and provides them with the ability to respond thoughtfully to challenges, setbacks, and difficult situations without feeling overwhelmed or being reactive.

This adaptability helps leaders maintain a grounded presence in complex environments, navigate the emotional flexibility needed to respond authentically and strategically in the given situation

How to be a conscious leader who leads with the heart?

Everyone has the ability to cohere mind with the heart, the source within. Let’s begin with ten simple, practical steps

regulate your emotions reflect

1 Start your day with a simple heart-mind coherence exercise Sit in a quiet space, 1close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. As you breathe in, focus on the sensation of the breath moving into your body As you breathe out, imagine releasing any tension or stress Next, bring your awareness to your heart space and visualise a warm, loving energy filling your chest. Then, bring your attention to your mind, picturise a calm and clear state Hold both images, warmth in your heart and clarity in your mind together for 3-5 minutes

2. Take 10 minutes at the end of each day to reflect on the emotions you experienced throughout the day Write about any situations that triggered strong emotional responses and ask yourself: “What was the emot

very first words that come to your mind to answer those questions Then, begin to reframe any negative emotions by considering how y

t respond diffe

tly next time,

r what opportunities or learnings the emotion presents for growth This exercise helps you connect to your emotional triggers and develop more resilient responses in the future.

3. You face a tough decision, take a moment to check in with your heart and ask yourself: “What does my heart feel right now about this decision? What does my mind think is the most logical choice?” Take time to listen to both perspectives, then make a decision that feels good and aligned with both your emotional values and your intellectual goals

4. Use positive language in a difficult conversation, for example, instead of saying, “This project isn’t going well, ” reframe it to “This project has some challenges, but we are taking action to resolve them. ” This shifts the energy of the conversation from despair to constructive, so it helps create an environment of possibility and collaboration

5. Set aside 15 minutes at the end of each week to reflect on your leadership experiences Sit in a quiet space, close your eyes, and focus on your heart centre and ask yourself questions: “What moments this week made me feel truly connected with my people?” “What decisions did I make that felt aligned with my values?”

6 Practice 5 mins of mindful breathing during the day and before any difficult situation, to centre yourself before entering emotionally charged situations. For example, before a tough meeting or a challenging conversation Breathe deeply, inhaling for a count of four, holding for four, and exhaling for four, while you feel your heartbeat. Do this for a few minutes to calm your mind and regulate your emotions

transformative leadership

7. Reframe when you face a problem: identify the problem and ask yourself, “What else could this be?” “What else might be possible here that I’m not seeing?” Write down at least three alternative ways to look at the situation Shift your mindset by focusing on potential opportunities rather than the problem

8. Before making a major decision, take a few minutes to visualise the potential outcomes of your choices. Take a couple of deep breaths, and rehearse each option in your mind, sense the feelings associated with each decision and notice your emotional responses. This helps integrate your heart energy into your cognitive clarity.

9. Burnout, unfortunately, doesn’t alarm

During high-stress periods, take selfcompassion breaks Step away from your work, close your eyes, and place a hand over your heart to enhance the connection to your heart, and breathe smoothly into your heart space for a few minutes Allow yourself space to rest and recalibrate, and check your feelings with your heart

10. Be mindful of your team’s emotional state and energy levels when you delegate tasks. Choose to assign tasks based on people’s emotional states For example, if someone is feeling overwhelmed, delegate a task that requires less emotional investment, or if someone is energised and excited, assign them a challenging project. This fosters a culture of empathy and emotional awareness where you lead team dynamics

By incorporating these simple practices into our daily leadership routine, we’ll build stronger connections with ourselves and our team, make more balanced decisions, and inspire growth on both personal and professional levels, and most importantly, we learn to lead with the heart. Leaders who embrace this approach create an environment where empathy, trust, growth, collaboration, and authenticity are valued, paving the way for transformative leadership that doesn’t just change organisations but transforms lives

RESHAPINGLIFETHROUGH HUMANITY,INNOVATION,AND LEADERSHIP

by MUKASA CHRISTOPHER Tokens of Life Uganda

In a world that’s constantly shifting politically, socially, and technologically, one thing remains certain: the future is not something we passively inherit, but something we actively create Each decision, each initiative, and each human interaction plays a part in shaping what lies ahead I have come to realize that our most profound impact is often rooted in our commitment to serve humanity, to lead with integrity, and to grow personally so that others can grow alongside us

Through my engagements in community development, humanitarian leadership, and personal transformation, I have come to see the extraordinary influence one can have not only in changing lives but in inspiring a culture of purpose and resilience As the Chief Executive Officer of a Charity Organization “Tokens of Life Uganda” focused on social impact in Uganda, I have witnessed how ideas rooted in compassion can evolve into movements that empower communities and build legacies that outlive us.

Innovation Rooted in Humanity

Innovation does not always have to be grand technological breakthroughs. Sometimes, it’s in finding creative ways to mobilize communities, empower women, or restore dignity to the elderly Our initiatives ranging from education support, environmental protection, maternal health

marathons on Buvuma Island to youth

empowerment forums and sustainable livelihoods for women, have all emerged from a simple question: “How can we create solutions that honor the dignity of every human being?”

What sets these projects apart is not just their execution, but the values behind them They are human centered, culturally aware, and socially inclusive. For example, our Mega Hall construction project for the Ladies Sewing Group

is not just a building, but it is a beacon of economic empowerment and social

transformation for marginalized women

Leadership as a Legacy, Not a Title

Leadership, for me, is not about authority, it is about service It is about lifting others as we climb

I have come to learn that transformative

leadership requires listening more than speaking, empowering rather than directing, and collaborating rather than controlling These values have shaped not only how I lead but how I live my life as well

Over time, I have become more intentional in how

I mentor young people, partner with other change makers, and influence policy conversations

Whether I am rallying global runners for maternal

health or working with grassroots leaders to

champion climate justice, I see leadership as an

act of legacy, one that influences not just today’s

community, but the future generations as well.

The Evolving Community and My Role in It

Communities are not static. They evolve with time, influenced by culture, opportunities, and the people within them. In my community, I have

witnessed a gradual yet powerful shift towards self-reliance, innovation, and civic participation.

Women are stepping into entrepreneurship, youth are embracing leadership roles, and local voices are being amplified more than ever before

I see myself as a bridge connecting global ideas with local realities, and ensuring no one is left behind in our development journey My role has become that of a catalyst: not to dictate change, but to spark it, support it, and sustain it.

Reshaping Life

The choices we make professionally; are the building blocks of the world we create One of my most defining choices was to devote my energy to humanitarian work It meant stepping away from comfort and stepping into purpose. It meant facing uncertainties with courage and trading convenience for conviction.

Professionally, choosing to develop organizational systems, embrace inclusive leadership, and integrate technology into our charity work has transformed our impact Personally, committing to personal development through continuous learning, self-reflection, and mentorship has made me a better leader and a more grounded human being.

The Influence of Culture, Technology, and Global Events

Culture is the soul of a community It teaches us who we are and what we value. Yet, for communities to thrive, culture must be dynamic, open to growth, learning, and new ideas. I have seen how cultural beliefs, when harmonized with innovation and education, can fuel development without eroding identity

Technology, too, is reshaping the landscape From digital fundraising platforms to online mentorship programs, it has amplified our reach and accelerated our impact Global events such as the COVID-19 pandemic and climate related disasters have reminded us of our shared vulnerability but also our shared strength. These events have made our work more urgent, more adaptive, and more globally connected

Building a Better, Compassionate World:

Lessons from the Past

The past teaches us that societies crumble not from lack of resources, but from lack of empathy. It teaches us that innovation without humanity breeds inequality, and growth without compassion leaves too many behind. From colonial legacies to modern systemic inequalities, history shows us what happens when power is not paired with purpose.

But it also teaches us that change is possible through unity, resilience, and visionary leadership If we can learn to value people over profit, sustainability over short term gain, and compassion over convenience, we can build a world that not only thrives, but heals

The world we create is a reflection of the choices we make and the values we uphold It is shaped not just by innovation, but by empathy Not just by leadership, but by service Not just by progress, but by purpose My hope

is that through our individual and collective efforts, we can continue building a world where every voice matters, every life is valued, and every future is full of possibility.

INVESTIGATINGLEADERSHIP DYSFUNCTION,ORGANIZATIONAL TOXICITY,ANDHOWFIRMSMIGHT STEERTOWARDSAHEALTHIER ENVIRONMENT

Toxic leadership has emerge

d as a key shift in many organizations today, lowering

employee morale, reducing

productivity, and causing long-

term damage to corporate

culture Toxic leadership is

defined as detrimental

activities that stray from

successful leadership practice, eventually leading to what is

best described as leadership

dysfunction. Toxic leadership

creates professional situations

rife with manipulation, a lack of openness, and normative

aggression. As a result, understanding the subtleties of

toxic leadership is critical for management professionals seeking to build a balanced and healthy work environment.

Differenttypesoftoxicleadershipbehaviors

Toxic leadership has several orms, each with a specific negative impact on organizational behaviour.

There are a few typical types:

Autocratic Leadership: refers to eaders who centralize all decision-making authority, mpose absolute obedience, and punish disobedience. This style requently disregards employee eedback and stifles innovation

Manipulative Leadership: nvolves leaders using coercion or favoritism to keep control. They may obfuscate facts, falsify performance data, and foster a competitive environment among colleagues.

Micromanaging Leadership: When leaders display a need for constant control, they reduce employee autonomy, resulting in lower production and more stress

Narcistic Leadership: refers to leaders that have an inflated sense of self-importance and prioritize personal triumphs over team success. Their demand for management frequently alienates coworkers and fosters a poisonous workplace environment.

Abusive Leadership: This extreme kind of toxic leadership may include verbal abuse, public humiliation, or even physical intimidation Abusive leaders undermine team cohesion and individual well-being.

Each type not only lowers organizational performance but also adds to a poisonous corporate climate in which employees frequently feel unappreciated, emotionally exhausted, and at risk of burnout.

Wing in increased turnover and lower engagement

TheImpactonEmployees

Toxic leadership has far-reaching ramifications, including major implications for employee well-being. Workers under toxic leaders frequently report increased stress, anxiety, and burnout A culture of fear may arise, in which employees are afraid to share ideas or express problems for fear of reprisal or criticism.

Furthermore, businesses headed by toxic executives can experience a considerable drop in employee retention rates According to the Center for

Creative Leadership, approximately half of employees willingly leave their positions due to poor management techniques. This revolving door of talent not only destroys team cohesion but also incurs significant hiring and training costs

IdentifyingToxicLeaders

Recognizing the indicators of toxic leadership is critical for businesses seeking to promote a healthy work environment

Toxic leaders often exhibit the following characteristics:

Excessive Control: Toxic leaders tend to micromanage

their teams, inhibiting autonomy and creativity

Lack of Accountability: They often deflect blame onto others and fail to own their mistakes

Poor Communication: Toxic leaders may rely on passiveaggressive communication styles, leaving teams confused and frustrated.

Inconsistency: Their unpredictable behavior creates an unstable and anxious atmosphere for employees.

TheRippleEffectonOrganizations

Toxic leadership has farreaching consequences that can destabilize entire organizations Companies with toxic CEOs frequently experience poorer staff morale, reduced collaboration, and decreased overall production Additionally, the organization's reputation may suffer, making it difficult to attract and retain top individuals

The Harvard Business Review found that businesses with higher degrees of toxic leadership often have lower profitability and market share.

-BojanaBogojevic

Positive leadership cultures, on the other hand, are associated with increased innovation, higher employee happiness, and superior financial performance Addressing Toxic Leadership.

1. Foster Open Communication: Encourage an environment where feedback is welcomed, and employees feel safe expressing their concerns without fear of retribution

2. Implement Training

Programs: Invest in leadership development programs that emphasize emotional intelligence, effective communication, and conflict resolution skills

3. Establish Clear Values: Cultivate a strong organizational culture grounded in core values such as respect, integrity, and collaboration. Leaders should model these values in their daily interactions

4. Conduct 360-Degree Feedback Assessments: Regularly evaluate leadership practices through comprehensive feedback mechanisms that involve input from peers, subordinates, and supervisors.

5. Support Mental Wellness: Provide resources and support for mental health, emphasizing the importance of employee well-being in fostering a productive work environment

MovingForward

Inaworldwhereeffective leadershipiscriticalto success, theissueoftoxic leadershipmustbe addressedheadon Organizationscan counteractthenegative consequencesoftoxic leadershipbypromoting healthymanagement practicesandcultivatinga cultureofrespectand supportforallemployees.

As more leaders grasp the value of promoting positive workplace dynamics, the prospect of a future free of toxic leadership grows brighter With perseverance and commitment, organizations can change the narrative about leadership and realize the full potential of their most precious asset: their employees

Every human is born with an innate ability to create, in a state of unlimited potential This potential is one of purity, vibrance and expansiveness and needs to be curated, carved and nurtured every day. This potential is limitless because humans are spiritual beings who’ve been created in the image of God, in His likeness and for His pleasure We are the only living beings on earth who are spiritual and blessed with a spirit Everything spiritual is boundless For example a new born baby is the purest form of divinity This unbounded nature, deeply rooted and complimented by a philosophical mind, helps and enables us to retain and unravel our illimitable potential in our capability and power to create However, this dynamic and exponential vibrance could become muted and eventually die if not taken care of and this is what usually happens

We make the mistake to limit and restrict the very potential we should foster because we end up developing our outer or external world (outer being) rather than our inner world (inner being). Our inner unseen self is more powerful than our outer self which can be seen For example a tree always grows in 2 directions It grows down (unseen) and it grows up (seen). The unseen part is the root system and the seen part is the fruit system. How fruitful our life is all depends on our root system (values, wisdom, intellect, ethos, philosophy, mindset, self belief, etc ) How strong or how big the tree is above the ground all depends on how deep and strong the roots are. And especially the growth which happens in the dark (unseen self) is more meaningful, precious, worthy, long lasting than the one which can be witnessed by all (our physical, earthly and materialistic growth). The depth and growth which happens in the dark ensures how much we grow in the light (world)

HARRISON speaks…………………………..

In a world where we can really thrive, we simply survive.

Humans actually have the power to create

their own future. It’s in our hands what sort

of a world we want for ourselves The

words we speak, which express our

thought process and emotions, have the

power of life and death in them. Words are

the architect of our future Every spoken

word is like a pen, use it wisely to write our

own destiny or perhaps like the rudder of a ship which controls and steers us in the

direction we are going in The tongue is

the gateway to our destiny What we speak and proclaim is what we invite in our

lives. You can’t be talking like a slave and expect people to treat you like a king

What are we creating?

What are we inviting in our life? Eventually what we invite is what we’ll create.

We have the power to change. We have the power to create Let’s not limit or restrict ourselves

Are we intellectually active? Does our intrinsic nature motivate us, inspire us, and empower us, bringing in positivity and strength?

Who are we?

We are “Unlimited Beings” having

“Unlimited Potential” , why do we forget?

Once we’ve found and discovered our

“real” self, lets unlock the potential of others by helping them in finding their purpose in life and giving it a significant meaning.

The world we create is in our own hands, let’s make it beautiful

WHY to simply survive when we can thrive

Innovation,Influence,andtheFuture ofPrimaryEducation

In a world shaped by continuous innovation and change, the future is not something we

simply inherit, it’s something we shape.

Nowhere is this more evident than in education, particularly in the foundational years of primary

school As society grapples with the forces of technology, climate change, globalisation, and shifting cultural values, primary education

stands at a pivotal intersection of influence and innovation It is here that we begin constructing the world of tomorrow, one learner at a time.

Innovation: Reimagining the Classroom

These pedagogies place the learner at the centre, encouraging creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving, skills essential to shaping a world that doesn't yet exist.

Emerging technologies such as AI, virtual reality, and adaptive learning platforms are also shifting the landscape. However with these tools comes a vital question: how do we ensure technology enhances, rather than replaces, the humanity of learning?

The evolving educational space no longer resembles the four-walled, one-size-fits-all model the past Innovation in primary education has gone far beyond interactive

whiteboards and iPads. It’s about rethinking how students learn, why they learn, and what tools and mindsets they’ll need for an uncertain future.

Project-based learning, concept-based learning, design thinking, STEM and STEAM integration, leadership and outdoor experiential education are just a few of the transformative approaches being embraced

Influence: Empowering the Young to Shape the Future

Children are not passive recipients of knowledge; they are active agents, creators, thinkers, and change-makers in their own right Primary education must empower

them to see themselves this way

Curricula that embed global citizenship, sustainability, cultural competence, and digital literacy enable students to understand their role in the wider world. Education must

reflect the complexities of our time: climate

crisis, inequality, misinformation, and technological disruption When students explore these issues through age-

appropriate frameworks, they begin to see

their voice and actions as powerful

E R A S M U S

C L A R E

The shift from content acquisition to values-based, inquiry and concept-driven learning gives children the tools to ask critical questions, challenge assumptions, and create solutions They don’t just prepare for the future; they participate in building it

The Human Role: Educators as Architects of Possibility

Amidst all the innovation, it is the educator who remains a vital influence in shaping young minds. Teachers are not just instructors; they are mentors, guides, and architects of possibility In an age of accelerating change, their role is more important than ever.

Educators help children make sense of complexity, foster emotional intelligence, and model the values of empathy, resilience, and ethical thinking. They curate learning environments that are inclusive, safe, and future-focused. Their daily interactions plant the seeds for lifelong learning and civic engagement

Professional development must therefore prioritise futureready teaching encouraging educators to be learners themselves, to experiment with pedagogy, and to collaborate across disciplines and communities. Teachers are not simply adapting to change; they are leading it.

Conclusion: Creating the World We Want to See

"The World We Create" begins in our primary schoolswith every curious question, every collaborative task, and

every moment of kindness in the classroom. As educators, students, and communities, we are not merely preparing for the future - we are co-creating it.

Innovation in education is not just about tools and technologies; it's about shifting mindsets Influence is not just about content; it's about agency. And the human role? It remains central, because at the heart of a better future lies the empowered individual Primary education is our blueprint for tomorrow. Let’s make it bold, inclusive and full of hope.

THE FUTURE WE CAN TOUCH

WHAT WE DO TODAY LEAVES ITS IMPRINT ON THE TIME BEYOND US, CARRIED BY QUIET PIECES OF BEAUTY THAT ARE NEVER MEASURED, YET ALWAYS FELT

“THE WORLD IS CHANGED BY YOUR EXAMPLE, NOT BY YOUR OPINION.” - PAULO COELHO

We often believe that change lives in noise, in sweeping declarations, policy shifts, or public debate.

But, mostly, the world is created in the quiet… In choices made with intention In the ways we show up when there’s nothing to gain In the warmth we give when we feel empty.

It is in these invisible acts that the architecture of a more human world begins to rise

Across the world, women carry the weight of unpaid care They spend nearly three times as many hours per day as men tending to others, raising children, feeding families, holding fragile days together.

This isn't just a matter of tradition, it's a deeply entrenched imbalance According to the International Labour Organization, this gap persists in every region, across all income levels, and has changed only slowly over time

In 2023, an estimated over 700 million women globally were outside the labor force due to caregiving responsibilities By contrast, just 40 million men were in the same position

These numbers, published by UN Women and ILO, reflect a global reality: that caregiving is still overwhelmingly considered women’s work, and it comes at the cost of visibility, income, and independence

Even in the European Union, where social policies are among the most progressive, the pattern holds. Women are still nine times more likely than men to step away from paid work to care for others. This comes from recent Eurostat findings, revealing that despite access to childcare systems and family leave, cultural expectations and structural gaps continue to steer women toward stepping back, often placing their aspirations on hold

And yet, these efforts, these hours spent mending, managing, comforting, and coordinating, remain largely invisible in economic terms They’re not counted in GDP They don’t appear in resumes.

But according to UN Women, the estimated value of unpaid care and domestic work ranges from 10% to 39% of a country’s GDP, often exceeding the contributions of major formal sectors We may not assign them a monetary value, but they are priceless These are the hands that hold the world steady

And still, we rarely speak of it as power We don’t call it leadership. But isn’t it the most enduring kind?

The world may celebrate ambition and boldness, yet the future is usually carried by those whose strength lies in quiet, unseen acts The ones who bear the weight of fatigue, not out of duty, but devotion Who remembers the details- the birthdays, the soft words, the unspoken

REFLECT

fears. Who choose understanding over ego Who keep showing up- not for applause, but for love They are the ones building the world, even when no one is watching

And here’s what gives me hope…

Even in a time marked by burnout and disconnection, when 77% of employees report experiencing burnout in their current roles (Deloitte), and 41% of people worldwide say they feel daily stress (Gallup), something beautiful is still rising

According to the CAF World Giving Index 2024, more than 4 3 billion people around

the world engaged in acts of generosity in the past year by helping a stranger, donating, or volunteering. It’s the highest level of global giving ever recorded. Kindness, it seems, still speaks louder than division. Even in uncertain times, generosity is not fading- it’s growing

According to the OECD Better Life Index, an average of 91% of people, in OECD countries report having a friend or relative

they can count on in times of need.

So perhaps the real question is not whether this

invisible work exists, but whether we are finally brave enough to see it for what it truly is, not background

noise, not something soft or secondary, but the quiet foundation upon which our shared humanity is built.

The world we create isn’t poured into blueprints or sealed in policies It’s woven slowly, almost quietly,

through tender, everyday gestures. The way we

reach for someone’s hand without being asked, or

the way we choose grace when we’ve been hurt

The way we soften our voice in a moment that could have gone hard, or pause to see someone who feels invisible. These are the fragments we pass on. They may not bear our names, but they carry our essence

One by one, they stitch together a kind of legacy that no history book will ever write, but one that lives on in the lives we touch. And though they may never be recorded or remembered, they are what quietly shape the world we live in and the one we leave behind.

With each passing day, this truth settles more deeply seen through the eyes I carry into the world- those of a mother, a woman, and a professional.

I move between two worlds, yet they are not separate Each informs and strengthens the other At work, I shape systems, nurture ideas, and hold space for growth. At home, I soothe, guide, and listen. They don’t divide me they complete the story, where showing up becomes meaning, and care becomes the quiet art of building a life.

CREATE WITH HEART

Some of my most powerful lessons in strength don’t come from books or training

They come from negotiating with tired children

From choosing patience when it would be easier to raise my voice From witnessing how my energy, even in silence, becomes the lesson they remember most From seeing that presence, sometimes far more than words, is what truly reaches them

So I ask: Are we creating systems that nurture people, or exhaust them? Are we designing lives that reflect our values or only our ambitions? Are we raising children who know how to win- or who know how to love?

But more and more, I realise something deeper: we, as adults, are not the only ones creating the world Our children are shaping it too with every question they ask, with every boundary they test, with every truth they speak unfiltered. We teach them how to live, but if we’re attentive, truly attentive, they will teach us how to live better

They remind me what it means to be fully present To give without calculating, to try with honesty rather than certainty. They don’t lead with confidence alone, but with heart, open, sincere, and deeply real

And through their eyes, I often see the world not as it is, but as it could be So while we, as parents, shape their future, they are quietly reshaping ours teaching us to slow down, to listen, to love without condition. This kind of influence moves unseen, yet leaves its mark on everything that matters.

The world we create begins not with strategy, but with sincerity It’s formed in the stories told between bites of dinner, in the way we reach for one another before the day ends, in the strength of choosing grace when it would be easier not to

Create not just with our hands, but with our hearts. Let us build not only careers, but character Let us lead not with authority, but with empathy

The world we create won’t be remembered for what we owned, but for how we lived Let’s pass on kindness that can be felt Let’s pass on moments that truly mattered Let’s pass on the courage to pause, reflect, and choose bettereven when no one is watching

Because the future isn’t carved in noise or titlesit’s whispered into being by hands that give, hearts that stay, and souls that believe

KikaniGlobalAcademy’sJourney fromPixelstoPurpose

My journey as Principal of Kikani Global Academy began at a time when education itself was being redefined. It was the height of the pandemic—schools were shuttered, uncertainty reigned, and yet, on June 14, 2021, we launched our school virtually What we lacked in infrastructure, we made up for in resolve. We weren’t just opening a school; we were planting hope in the middle of a storm

Those early days were a whirlwind of resilience. We interviewed teachers over unstable video calls, often guessing at their potential between lags and dropped signals. When staffing shortages threatened to slow us down, we looked inward to our local community We found incredible strength among women who had lost jobs in various industrial sectors. Within our 8 km radius, they stepped into unfamiliar roles with hesitant hearts and emerged as anchors of our institution many now leading and supporting classroom with confidence and care.

Our inaugural batch of 180 students formed their first friendships not across desks, but through screens. I’ll never forget the moment when our physical campus finally opened, children walked in with wide eyes and wonder, touching walls they had only seen as virtual backdrops. Their laughter filled the hallways, often punctuated by exclamations of “So this is what you really look like!” Every corridor echoed with rediscovery. It was proof that meaningful connections can grow even in digital soil

But as the building filled with life, we also uncovered silent scars left by the pandemic

Students who could type flawlessly now struggled to grip pencils. We introduced fine motor skill workshops to bridge these gaps. Social confidence had dimmed, so we created “connection circles” where children could share stories, process grief, and rediscover the joy of togetherness Teachers became more than educators they became emotional lifelines

In this crucible, I too was transformed Leadership took on new meaning It was no longer about direction but about presence. I learned to lead with empathy, to listen more than I spoke, and to trust the quiet power of community The pandemic taught me that strong leadership isn't about having all the answers it's about creating space where others can grow, stumble, and rise stronger

The arts became our most powerful tool for healing. What started as online Bharatanatyam (Indian classical Dance) classes and western Hip hop dance classes soon evolved into movement-based therapy that restored confidence and motor coordination. Our music teacher’s bhajan sessions (prayer hymns) on WhatsApp became emotional bridges connecting children with grandparents, families with memories - the notes speaking louder than words ever could

We also broadened our horizons through international SDG (Sustainable Development Goal) collaborations Our students worked with peers from Taiwan, discussing climate change and sustainability These projects opened young minds to the idea that while cultures may differ, solutions must be shared.

Mindfulness became foundational. Each morning now begins with yoga and meditation. Teachers reported measurable shifts improved attention spans, reduced classroom disruptions, and deeper emotional balance. Our reading program, once centered on memorization, transformed into interactive circles A previously shy student now confidently narrates stories, her voice gaining strength with each telling

Our campus today tells the story of transformation:

In our “Smart & Simple” lab where students build robots In courtyard murals painted by children, capturing their pandemic journeys.

In support staff who now mentor newcomers with grace and pride

In hybrid learning kits, ready to deploy for any future disruption.

In global project displays, reminding us that even the smallest school can have a global voice

This is education reimagined not as rigid instruction but as adaptive, compassionate growth Students from traditional households now build apps addressing farming challenges. Trauma-informed practices shape every interaction What began as survival has become innovation

“WE WEREN’T BUILDING A SCHOOL. WE WERE RAISING A GENERATION THAT REMEMBERS RESILIENCE AS ITS FIRST LANGUAGE.”

Our greatest realization? Crisis doesn’t suppress potential it reveals the pathways we never dared to imagine What started as emergency response has evolved into enduring reform Our teachers’ digital fluency now enhances instruction. Community partnerships formed in hardship now thrive as microbusinesses that empower women and families.

This is the world we create: where tradition meets innovation, where every role in education is equally valued, and where compassion is not an initiative but our living curriculum. One child debugging her first code One parent daring to dream anew One educator blending ancient wisdom with modern methods

And today, we stand proud a thriving community of nearly 600 students and 50+ dedicated staff members — each one a testament to the vision we built during the darkest of times

This is how we rebuild the future Not in isolation, not

Henika is a freelance portrait and fine art photographer

After primary school she studied subject's which she didn't like She went to university to study technology, which she did not enjoy at all Most of her work and life experience at that point was boring, soul destroying and not challenging enough to bring passion and joy into her life.

In 2000 she moved to the United Kingdom from Slovakia, where she was looking for new life. It was at that point she started to find her passion for life Her passion always was and still is today anything to do with creativity, finding beauty in objects and surroundings, fine art photography, photographing people, being in nature, exploring different cultures and their art

Whilst in the UK she undertook a foundation course in art and design She then completed a 3 year full time degree in photography.

During the lockdown, she started to work on her new 'Golden Ikebana' collection, which is influenced by Japanese art and their flower arranging, called 'Ikebana’ Whilst on walks Henika would find branches from different trees and would style them in small vases and photographed them

What about Ikebana are you drawn to?

I’m drawn to Ikebana’s aesthetic and its overall concepthaving a piece of nature in your home surroundings really can make an impact on your wellbeing I also enjoy the creative process of creating Ikebana

Why is nature and exploring different cultures important for you? What do you personally get from this?

I just love looking at the world around me, experiencing it and feeling it, it gives me the feeling of being alive Being in nature feels like heaven to me, it brings calm and happiness and involves all the senses, especially when I’m walking through the woods.

When I travel to different destinations, I am interested in meeting new people and looking at their history, art, architecture and especially the nature!

How and why did you get into photography?

Once I finished my foundation course in Art & Design, I wanted to carry on studying something creative - I chose a course in interior design but it didn’t fulfill me - finally, I settled on a photo-media degree, which started my passion for photography.

My photo-media degree exposed me to not only photography but also filmmaking - I discovered so many artists, my course was set! In the end, filmmaking wasn’t for me, but stills photography was.

Can you describe your work?

When I created my ikebana collection, I tried to capture the peaceful magic of it I don’t really follow any rules by creating Ikebana

Youhavedonealotofphotos ofpeople–headshotsand portraiture.Whataboutthem interestsyou?

People interest me Each individual brings a different story and reason for wanting a portraitthere is never a dull moment meeting all these interesting people who are following their dreams as business owners, creative professionals or coaches.

I enjoy it when I can capture their inner beauty and spirit and show the world how beautiful they really are

Howdoyouthinkphotography canassistwithaperson’s personal/businessbrand?How doyouassistbusinessowners withthis?

A strong online and social media presence is essential for small businesses and entrepreneurs Largely because; people buy into people they trust, so projecting my clients authentic natures is crucial

This is how I want my clients and potentials clients to connect with me, to know they will review the branding they need for their online presence

Also when I create a story about my clients, I need to get the feeling of who they are as a person and how they want to be seen for their potential clients There is more to it, not just taking a pictures.

Before we do portraits we discussed, where the portraits will be conducted, it depends on a clients work Composition and what they are wearing is also very important I like if portraits are creative but also if it can capture the authenticity of the person. I try to produce strong portraits where there is a deep connection between viewer and subject

Whatisthebestadviceyoucan givesomeonewhowantstoget intophotography?

Don’t do it! Only joking, whist it’s tough financially, photography is creative and can make your heart sing!

“I ENJOY IT WHEN I CAN CAPTURE THEIR INNER BEAUTY AND SPIRIT AND SHOW THE WORLD HOW BEAUTIFUL THEY REALLY ARE.”

I am inspired by shapes and colours of different branches, flowers and styled them how I feel I styled them in small vases and photographed them using natural window light In postproduction I add yellow filter which works so well with composition and theme of ikebana.

Start by experimenting and try to find what you are interested in - it could be fine art or actors headshots.

When you find what makes you feel alive, you will need to work out a way to turn your passion into money, which is harder these days. Stick with it, there are lots of new opportunities and different avenues, believe in yourself and remind yourself what you have that others don’t!

What have been your biggest challenges and rewards along the way?

Inspiring myself is a challenge. As a freelancer I work on my own, which led me to set myself the challenge of creating an Ikebana collection There is also the everyday working challenges

Whatprojectsareyoucurrentlyworkingon?

I am working on my new ikebana series with new arrangements and exploring using white backgrounds. I am also looking at ways to further merchandise my Ikebana collection, for example, framed fine art prints

Isthereanythingelseyouwouldliketoadd?

First of all, I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to talk about my work and passions. I believe is very important for all of us to be able to express ourselves in whatever form that takes Creativity is big part of us and we should just enjoy it and create something.

Also, I am building my new photography studio in the back of my garden - I can’t wait to start producing beautiful fine art portraits!

In a world where Middle Eastern are either pitied or politicized, I write to change our narrative.

Though you might not know it, you're reading these words using our ancestors' gift to the world - that very alphabet started from right here Even BBC once said, “Thank the Phoenicians for your ABCs.”

Our stories deserve more Our youth deserves more

The first time I held my published novel, it wasn’t just a book; it was my voice, finally loud enough to be heard. I had always dreamed of writing, of crafting words that would change the world, even in the slightest way

Today, I write to prove we are more than the news headlines We are dreams and hopes in human forms

Today, I write to prove we are more than the news headlines. We are dreams and hopes in human forms

I want those teens that I hope to carry their mission, to live while shaping their future, to understand that living their teenage life is not wasting their time and that they can blast the music while drafting their essays, study while building lifetime friendships, and explore Beirut's hidden gems between classes These aren't distractions from their future These are the foundations.

I want our teenagers to stop fearing a future that seems not to have, especially when I've witnessed talents in them that took my breath away, let alone the will to live they maintain; after seeing the terror of the world.

I teach them that fear is not weakness. With all my heart, I encourage them to pursue their passions because maybe just maybe if they dare to do what they love, our country could become the home they deserve.

Hearing them say, “I want to leave ” breaks my heart But as I teach them to follow their hearts I would never tell them to stay against their dreams.

All I ask is this leave a heartbeat here Carry your culture with you like it’s stitched into your soul.

And swear on your grandmother’s za’atar (Lebanese Thyme) that this isn’t goodbye forever.

Because you’re not escaping you’re exploring. And one day, somehow, you’ll find your way back home. You are Beirut, the masterpieces of tomorrow we’ve been protecting all along. And every day, I watch my teen followers bloom on social media or every time I meet them.

On my social media, I show them how to be unapologetically themselves. I love K-pop. I adore Thai music and Thai dramas Some find this weird I’m Middle Eastern But ‘No’ I freely share my passions to teach them true freedom: the kind with protective boundaries, not restrictive ones

And to my teens chasing trends, that viral TikTok dance? It’ll be cringe by next Thursday But your weird little obsession with 90s Arabic pop, or those hidden gems only you and maybe three people on the planet know about? That’s the gold. And always remember: the world keeps spinning back to authenticity Trust me your unedited self is the only trend that won’t expire.

I run my Instagram as an open book My life is exposed like a bouquet of unmatched flowers, cozy coffee shop meetings, friends laughing, and my nephews, all woven between Thai OSTs sound-tracking Beirut sunsets, and K-Pop reels No politics - just the life of an author who wants to change the world someday My posts aren't just posts They're blueprints for a Lebanon that breathes beyond borders A Lebanon that wants peace

I live in colors I’ve been told they don’t belong together.

My DMs are a mix of teens gushing over Blackpink’s (K-pop band) latest comeback one minute, then sharing JASP.ER (Thai pop band) debut song with messages like “Miss, This healed me after failing physics,” followed up with a tearful voice note asking for advice on university applications

Someone once told me, “You’re Arab like us, but different, how?”

My answer? “My Thai-pop love doesn’t erase my culture.

To every teenager wondering if their voice matters, let me tell you this, it does. Loudly and fiercely. The world might not be ready for a generation like yours. And that’s okay!

Write your story. Dance your story. Live your story.

Because Beirut to the world isn’t just words, it’s a promise And it starts with you

TheWorldWeCreate.Whatdoesthis meanforyou?

For me, “The World We Create” is a call to action that every choice we make whether as individuals, communities, or nations shapes the future.

This means working toward a world that is safe where no human being is bought, sold, or exploited.

It means having the courage to use my voice, my influence and my faith to create awareness and spark a movement to fight against human trafficking in order to bring hope to those who need it most

Howisyourindustryorcommunity evolving,andwhatpartdoyouplayinit?

In my community, awareness of human trafficking – especially among students and young adults remain low. Meanwhile, trafficking methods continue to evolve, with victims being lured through highpaying job offers, religious extremism, sex trafficking, and other deceptive tactics.

As the ambassador of Be My Protector*, a Malaysian NGO dedicated to fighting human trafficking, I am committed to raising awareness and inspiring action. Our mission is to Reach, Rescue and Restore on a global scale. My team and I conduct selfawareness and inspiring action Our mission is to Reach, Rescue and Restore on a global scale. My team and I

conduct and self-protection workshops in schools, universities, corporate companies, refugees and also for the public, equipping individuals with the knowledge to safeguard themselves and their loved ones

To further empower communities, Be My Protector has developed an App that allows users to anonymously report suspicious activities, locations or individuals By educating and mobilizing people to take action, we strive to create a society that is vigilant, informed, and proactive in the fight against human trafficking.

Last year, we received a report via the Be My Protector App about a potential abuse of the 11 year old daughter of her housemate, by the partner.

The girl shared with her that the man downloaded videos of adults engaging in indecent behaviour into her laptop and watched regularly. The lady felt very concerned and having downloaded the BMP app, she made the report

As soon as Be My Protector received the report, the team immediately jumped into action and worked with the local law enforcers and child service. Suffice to say, the man was arrested with evidence of pornographic material in the laptop and was believed to be grooming the girl in the process

The mother and daughter were rescued and put in shelter for protection. The girl received counselling while the mother cut off all ties with her partner whom she trusted, feeling repulsive and enraged for what he did.

Imagine if this girl were your own daughter, niece or sister? Or your son, nephew or brother? Keeping silent would have robbed them of their innocence and destroyed their self worth.

I cannot emphasise enough on the importance of protecting one another as a community and having an essential reporting tool such as the BMP app on your mobile phone. We all have that yearning and desire for justice, all we need is a little courage to report

We welcome anyone who wants to make an impactful difference by donating to the NGO for further development of the App globally and to sustain the operations of the organisation

Whatpersonalorprofessionalchoices havehelpedyoureshapeyourlife, business,orimpactonothers?

Becoming a mother changed me profoundly. It made human trafficking personal because every child should be safe, protected, and heard. It pains me to know there are children suffering silently.

As a mother of two, I will do all I can to keep my children safe I am sure any parent would. The thought of other mothers and parents enduring the pain and trauma from the loss of their child to kidnapping, slavery or abuse surely breaks your heart and mine! No one should have to go through such agony

As a mother, I too, want to be a role model, inspire my children to speak up for the less fortunate and leave a legacy.

As a doctor and missionary, experiencing harsh living conditions during medical missions worldwide have opened my eyes to the depth of suffering in the world and the power of hope and healing.

I’ve served in medical missions since I was 26 years old in Cambodia, Bangladesh, Togo, Kenya, Nepal, the Karen Refugee Camps in Chiangmai, and India

During the Nepal Earthquake, I volunteered to provide medical aid despite my eldest child, Norah being 3, and my baby boy Oliver was only 8 months old. I was reluctant initially but the stirring in my heart was so strong that I had to get onto the plane and support the team. I was still breast feeding him. I packed my Medela and expressed milk whenever I had the chance at the hostel after a long day. We set up our mobile clinic in schools. We were caught in the 2nd quake which we thought was only an aftershock. As the buildings shook violently, we gathered together to pray and once it subsided we resumed the clinic and carried on the next few days. I trusted God with my life and my family’s back in Malaysia.

I have pledged, as Mrs Malaysia Universe 2018/19 to lend my voice and stand up for less fortunate and those in need to be heard I was honoured to be the ambassador of Be My Protector

As the ambassador of Be My Protector, my mission is to ensure the public is aware that the danger is real. It can happen to any of us or our loved ones. My role is also to inspire the public to speak up for the oppressed and to give them another chance at a life free from abuse, exploitation and danger. Each of us can do our part to make our society a safer place, where we can live free of fear and be Superheroes to our young!

My dream is to create a safe environment where everyone, especially children, can share their fears of abuse and exploitation without fear of judgement- only support, protection, and hope.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, after 3 days of rest from the lockdown, I had a strong urge to serve alongside other front liners despite knowing the possibility of exposure to my elderly parents, children and myself. I just could not stay home and not do anything for the community. I understood the risk and took all safety measures to ensure they were safe.

When I chose to step into this part of life, it wasn’t just a professional decision or crave for adventure; it was my calling. Every speech I give, every social media posting on human trafficking, every life rescued and every heart we awaken it all stems from that choice to serve, to fight, and to show God’s love.

“Notallofuscandogreat things.Butwecandosmall thingswithgreatlove” -MotherTheresa

You do not need to be wealthy, powerful, or an expert to make a difference You just need to care and to act

No action is too small when it comes from a heart committed to justice. Together, we can create a world where no one is bought or sold. Will you stand with us?

Howdoculture,technology,orglobal eventsinfluencetheworldwearecreating forfuturegenerations?

Culture shapes our values. If we tolerate exploitation, even in the smallest ways it creates an environment where trafficking can thrive.

Technology has become a double-edged sword as it enables traffickers and more cyber crimes but it also helps us to report, track and rescue victims. We must use it wisely to protect, educate, and empower.

Whatlessonscanwelearnfromthepastto buildabetter,morecompassionate,and moreinnovativeworld?

History has shown us that silence enables injustice Change only happens when people stand up for themselves and others, and say, “Stop”. We must learn that compassion is not just a feeling but an action If we want a better world, we must create it. Hence I resonate with the theme “The World We Create”.

Human trafficking is not just someone else’s problem it is a crisis that affects us all. It does not discriminate by age, gender, nationality, or background, and neither should our response. Whether you are a student, a parent, a business leader, or a policymaker, you have a role to play in ending this injustice.

1.You’re the founder of eYs Global Vanguard

and Executive Chair of IVEA what inspired

you to create these powerful platforms?

What inspired me wasn’t ambition It was the

urgent need for infrastructure that honours

truth, substance, and strategic leadership

without compromise

For years, I witnessed brilliant voices being sidelined, systems rewarding performance

over principle, and leaders navigating spaces

that were never truly built for them I knew that if

I wanted to see lasting change, I couldn’t just

contribute to existing models I had to build

entirely new ones

eYs Global Vanguard was created as a

sovereign enterprise, one that doesn’t dilute

vision for palatability It serves as the mother

platform housing multiple pillars: publishing, legacy media, policy influence, executive

alliances, and leadership councils It’s not just a

brand It’s a global positioning system for people who are here to reshape industries, institutions, and conversations.

IVEA International Vanguard Executive Alliance was born to give those voices a seat at the policy and strategy level. It’s not a networking group It’s a structural response to a global void in ethical, executive, and futureready leadership. I created what I couldn’t find: platforms built with dignity, precision, and permanence

2. With over two decades of international leadership, what has been the most defining moment in your global career?

The most defining moment wasn’t a single event; it was a realisation. It was the moment I understood that I no longer needed to be included, validated, or endorsed to lead That I could step outside every structure I once tried to belong to and build something of my own on my terms, at my pace, and with my vision intact

There were recognitions along the way, invitations to presidential forums, global summits, humanitarian awards, and advisory circles and while I’m deeply proud of those

“ BRILLIANCE IS NEITHER A FASHION NOR A STYLE , A TREND OR AN AMBIENCE IT ' S AN AWAKENING OF OUR LUMINOUS INGENUITY ”

moments, what truly marked my career was understanding the weight of what I carried.

That my voice had the power to move policy

My presence reshaped the spaces I entered

And that the quiet impact I had on others often mattered more than the stages themselves.

That was the shift from being included to being instated

3. How do you approach building strategic frameworks that are designed for the world’s next iteration?

I begin with what most people avoid: silence.

True strategy doesn’t come from noise or reaction. It emerges from deep listening: to the

patterns, the failures, the things people are too afraid or too exhausted to name I don’t build to fix what exists, I build to replace what no longer serves.

My frameworks are designed for durability, not visibility They’re built to hold weight long after the hype fades. I ask, “What will this look like when no one’s watching? Will it still stand when conditions change?” That’s the test If it only works in ideal settings, it was never strategic to begin with.

I utilise foresight, policy awareness, and structural ethics to design systems that are both adaptive and resilient. I’m not interested in building for applause I build for permanence, and that means starting where most stop: with what’s being quietly ignored

4. What does “diplomatic narrative design” mean to you, and why is it essential in today’s geopolitical landscape?

Diplomatic narrative design is the architecture behind perception It’s the intentional crafting of story, message, and meaning not to manipulate, but to position truth where it will be heard, respected, and remembered

In today’s world, influence doesn’t always come from action. It often comes from how that

action is framed, received, and retold. That’s where narrative becomes power. And if diplomacy lacks narrative clarity, it risks becoming silent negotiation or worse, misunderstood intent.

I design narratives the way others design policy with precision, foresight, and cultural intelligence. I ensure that what is said isn’t just correct, but effective. That the message doesn’t just land, it builds trust, affirms leadership, and protects legacy

In a geopolitical landscape where misinformation moves faster than fact, diplomatic narrative design is no longer optional. It’s essential because those who shape the story shape the system.

5. How do you incorporate long-range strategy into global affairs without losing sight of current realities?

I treat the present as a diagnostic, not a destination.

Long-range strategy begins with listening to what isn’t being said I pay attention to the fractures in the system, the patterns in resistance, and the gaps in leadership Then I project forward not just one year, but ten I ask, “What are we normalising today that will become a crisis if left unchallenged? What aren’t we building that future generations will need?”

But I never ignore the present. The daily realities of economic unrest, social fatigue, and leadership turnover are signals They show us where resilience needs to be built and where current models are failing. I incorporate them not as obstacles, but as indicators

I build frameworks that can stretch and adapt enough to serve today’s urgency and are structured enough to outlive the trend cycle

For me, long-range strategy isn’t about predicting the future. It’s about making sure we’re not repeating the past

TRUE BRILLIANCE BEGINS WHERE LIMITATIONS END

6. As both an Australian leader and a proud Macedonian changemaker, how has your cultural duality influenced your mission?

Being both Australian and Macedonian has given me a layered lens, one that holds deep cultural memory and sharp global perspective From my Macedonian roots, I’ve inherited resilience, loyalty, and the discipline of tradition. From Australia, I’ve absorbed opportunity, openness, and strategic clarity. Together, they shaped not just how I lead, but why I lead.

I don’t see through one lens. I see the whole pattern east and west, ancestral and future-focused, soft power and structural command I understand how to speak in boardrooms without losing my grounding I can lead in multicultural spaces without diluting my heritage That ability has made me not just relatable, but credible across vastly different spheres And because of that, I don’t just represent one identity, I represent possibility I represent what happens when we honour where we come from and still build forward with authority

7. You’ve advised governments and councils — what qualities make a leader or a nation legacydriven in your eyes?

A legacy-driven leader builds for impact they may never live to witness, and they’re at peace with that. They lead with restraint, vision, and responsibility.

They’re not motivated by applause or optics, but by outcomes that withstand time Legacy leaders are deliberate; they know when to act, when to listen, and when to step back to allow what they’ve built to stand on its own They don’t centre themselves, they centre the mission

The same is true for nations A legacy-driven nation doesn’t chase dominance It invests in justice, policy continuity, education, diplomacy, and infrastructure that serves beyond an election cycle. It listens to its people. It remembers its history. And it makes decisions that prioritise generational wellbeing over momentary popularity.

In every room I enter, be it political, cultural, or enterprise, I look for one thing: are they building for applause, or permanence? If it won’t stand without them, it’s not a legacy Its performance

8. What role does storytelling play in foreign policy, diplomacy, and institutional legacy?

Storytelling is not a soft tool It’s one of the most powerful instruments of influence in the world.

In foreign policy and diplomacy, data informs, but story persuades. The narrative a nation talks about itself determines how it is received, remembered, and aligned with. It can shape alliances, justify decisions, and humanise complexity A well-positioned story can achieve what negotiation alone cannot.

In diplomacy, I’ve seen that leaders who understand narrative hold more sway. They speak not just with authority, but with emotional intelligence They know how to make policy personal, how to make history relevant, and how to turn institutional legacy into cultural memory

In institutions, legacy is not built by programs alone It’s built through what is documented, archived, and told. If the story of the institution is shallow, its legacy will be forgettable no matter how large its footprint

I use storytelling as both protection and positioning Not to perform, but to anchor truth Because in every room I enter, I know this: whoever controls the story controls the direction

9. What advice do you give to women striving to lead in male-dominated fields like international governance and diplomacy?

Stop trying to fit in and start building what reflects you. These spaces were never designed with us in mind That doesn’t mean we wait to be invited It

It means we show up with conviction, build structural credibility, and lead from principle, not performance

Women don’t need to emulate men to succeed We need to redefine the standards altogether. That begins with

knowing your worth so deeply that compromise becomes unthinkable It’s about documenting your work, leading with evidence, and staying grounded in truth even when the room tries to intimidate or diminish you.

International governance and diplomacy require strategy, presence, and strength, all qualities women possess in abundance. The difference is, we’ve been taught to understate them.

My advice?

“Don’t soften your power Sharpen your presence The future isn’t waiting for permission. And neither should you”

10. You’re an award-winning author. how does writing intersect with your professional work in global strategy?

Writing is not separate from my strategic work; it’s the foundation of it

Every policy I design, every platform I build, every vision I present begins with language. Writing sharpens my clarity. It forces me to refine complex ideas into structured, accessible frameworks And in the world of global strategy, that’s critical because if you can’t articulate it, you can’t execute it.

As an author, I’ve learned the discipline of thought. I don’t write to impress, I write to impact Whether it’s a diplomatic brief, a legacy manifesto, or a Council framework, my writing carries both authority and resonance It bridges the gap between strategy and humanity

More than anything, writing allows me to preserve what matters Strategies shift, headlines fade, but the written word remains It is my way of documenting the invisible work, the untold truths, and the architecture of legacy that outlives the moment It’s not direction It’s a distraction That distinction drives everything I lead.

11. How do you and your husband support one another in maintaining a thriving home life alongside highimpact careers?

We lead with mutual respect, even when the rhythm isn’t perfect.

" TRUE STRENGTH LIES NOT IN NEVER BEING WRONG , BUT IN HAVING THE COURAGE TO ACKNOWLEDGE OUR MISTAKES AND LEARN FROM THEM. "

In high-impact lives, balance is rarely symmetrical, but alignment is non-negotiable. What keeps us steady is the understanding that partnership isn’t about equal roles every day It’s about recognising the weight each of us carries, holding space for each other’s pace, and returning to shared values when things become demanding

We don’t always see things the same way, but we’ve always respected each other’s vision and capacity We’ve raised a family through seasons of growth, uncertainty, and sacrifice And while our paths have sometimes evolved in different directions, our core commitment has remained anchored: to show up, to protect what matters, and to honour the legacy we’re building together.

12. What values do you hope to pass on to your sons as they watch you lead on the world stage?

I want them to know that power means nothing without principle and that legacy is only real if it uplifts others.

My sons have grown up watching their mother carry vision through adversity They’ve seen the cost of leadership, the discipline behind success, and the courage it takes to keep building when no one claps More than anything, I want them to understand that leadership is not dominance, it’s stewardship. The true measure of a man is not in how loudly he speaks, but in how well he listens, protects, and leads with integrity

And now, with my granddaughter Azalia in the world, the weight of that legacy deepens I want them to show her a new model, one where women don’t have to shrink, prove, or ask Where they are protected and celebrated without condition I want Azalia to grow up in a world where her path is not delayed by outdated systems, but advanced by the choices her father and uncle made because they saw their mother lead with clarity This is no longer just about what I pass down. It’s about what they will pass forward, and that is where legacy truly lives

13. How do you balance your demanding executive roles with your most important role being a mother of two boys and a grandmother to Azalia?

My life is a rhythm, not a juggle, where purpose, family, and leadership flow together I’ve never separated my identity as a leader from my identity as a mother My two sons have witnessed everything: the late nights, the global summits, the quiet sacrifices, the decisions that built a legacy.

They’ve grown up knowing their mother

leads not for applause, but for impact. And now, with the birth of my granddaughter

Azalia, that legacy has expanded.

Azalia changed everything Her arrival

reminded me that what I build today is not

just for the world I see, but for the world she will inherit I carry her in every room I enter,

just as I carry my sons I work not just for

recognition, but for restoration so that one

day, she won’t have to fight the same battles I

did to be seen, heard, or respected

Motherhood gave me strength

Grandmotherhood gave me perspective.

And both have made me the kind of leader who builds beyond the moment, I build for those who come after.

The title "The World We Create" offers a profound insight into how the future is shaped by our actions, values, and the way we nurture the next generation. At the heart of this shaping lies the upbringing of children, their development, and the environment in which they grow A child’s formative years are pivotal in shaping their character, confidence, and ability to face the challenges of life How we raise them will directly influence the kind of world they create The nurturing process is not only about giving children the tools they need to succeed, but also about fostering the values of bravery, selfassurance, and empathy The connection between art and the world we create cannot be understated, as art plays a critical role in this developmental process, serving as a means of emotional recognition, self-expression, and social connection.

Upbringing of Children and Creating Brave, Self-Confident Individuals

The foundation of a brave and selfconfident child begins with their upbringing Early experiences and the way they are emotionally and socially nurtured influence their ability to face challenges in the future A supportive environment is essential in building resilience. Children must be in spaces where they feel safe to explore, take risks, make mistakes, and try new things Such an environment encourages children to express themselves openly and face challenges head-on, knowing they can learn from failure without fear of judgment.

Another key component in raising brave children is emotional guidance Children who are taught to recognize and manage their emotions in healthy ways are better equipped to deal with adversity

Parents, caregivers, and educators who model calmness and problemsolving skills in the face of challenges provide an example of resilience for children to emulate

Moreover, encouraging independence plays a crucial role in nurturing bravery When children are given the freedom to make their own choices and have a voice in decisions, they build confidence and a sense of self-efficacy These early experiences allow children to feel empowered to step outside their comfort zones and embrace new opportunities

ADAPTIVE SCHOOLS AND ENCOURAGING INDIVIDUAL STRENGTHS

Adaptive schools that cater to the unique needs of each child are crucial in fostering bravery and self-assurance Traditional educational models often focus on uniformity, where all children are expected to learn the same things in the same way. However, adaptive schools recognize that every child has different strengths, interests, and learning styles Personalized learning, where children explore areas they excel in or are passionate about, helps boost their self-esteem. Whether it's in the arts, sciences, sports, or literature, recognizing and nurturing a child’s individual strengths makes them feel valued for who they are.

Encouraging intrinsic motivation is another benefit of adaptive schools Children who are encouraged to pursue their own interests are more likely to take ownership of their learning This sense of ownership promotes curiosity and the courage to take risks and explore new ideas. When children experience success in areas they care about, their confidence grows, leading to a stronger sense of self and the bravery to continue pursuing their passions. Adaptive schools provide a supportive space where children can develop self-assurance through meaningful achievements in their areas of strength

THE ROLE OF ART IN BUILDING SELFCONFIDENCE AND RECOGNIZING EMOTIONS

Art is a powerful tool for building self-confidence and helping children connect with their emotions

Through artistic expression whether it’s painting, music, dance, or theatre children can express themselves in ways that words may fail to capture. Art provides an emotional outlet that allows children to explore complex feelings such as joy, fear, anger, sadness, and excitement. This process of creation helps children gain a deeper understanding of their emotions, which is critical in developing emotional intelligence and resilience

MayaApostoloska

Furthermore, art fosters empathy and self-reflection By creating or engaging with art, children can interpret the feelings of others and understand different perspectives Whether they are creating something personal or experiencing the art of others, children often feel a deeper connection to the world around them This sense of understanding helps build stronger emotional bonds with others, promoting compassion and inclusivity. Additionally, the act of completing an art project whether it’s a drawing, a sculpture, or a poem gives children a tangible sense of accomplishment This success boosts their confidence and belief in their abilities, allowing them to recognize the value of their unique perspectives.

THE INFLUENCE OF ART ON THE WORLD WE CREATE

The role of art in shaping the world extends far beyond the individual child When children engage in creative expression, they develop a sense of ownership over their world and their place in it. Art fosters creativity, which is essential for problem-solving, innovation, and critical thinking Children who grow up in environments that encourage creativity are more likely to think outside the box and contribute to societal change. The ability to express ideas in novel and imaginative ways fosters the resilience needed to tackle challenges and confront the unknown

CHILDRENOFTODAY

Throughart,children developtheresilienceand couragetonavigateaworld thatisrapidlychanging,

Art also encourages the appreciation of diverse perspectives. Exposure to various art forms helps children learn about different cultures, beliefs, and experiences By appreciating the beauty in diversity, children develop a more inclusive and compassionate worldview Art teaches children to see the world through multiple lenses, which contributes to the creation of a society that values empathy and understanding

Moreover, the resilience developed through art is invaluable. The creative process often involves overcoming obstacles, whether it’s learning new techniques or persevering through difficulties in the creation process These challenges help children build resilience, as they learn to face setbacks, try again, and celebrate the results of their effort This resilience is crucial in preparing children to face the complex challenges of the future with confidence and determination

ADAPTIVE SCHOOLS AND ENCOURAGING INDIVIDUAL STRENGTHS

The world we create is fundamentally shaped by how we nurture and guide the children of today By providing environments that encourage bravery and creativity, supporting children in discovering and developing their strengths, and using art as a means of emotional expression, we help cultivate a generation that is prepared to face the challenges of tomorrow The act of selfexpression through art, whether it’s through painting, music, or dance, forms the foundation for the emotional and intellectual development necessary for a compassionate, innovative, and resilient world.

As we continue to advance technologically and culturally, the importance of fostering emotional intelligence, creativity, and empathy through art becomes ever more apparent Art not only helps children understand and express themselves, but it also teaches them to appreciate the diverse perspectives that make up the fabric of society Through art, children develop the resilience and courage to navigate a world that is rapidly changing, while contributing to the creation of a future that values both creativity and connection By nurturing the growth of these qualities in children today, we are shaping the world they will one day lead.

The world we create is a direct reflection of our actions, innovations, and the choices we make every day Whether through business, creativity, humanitarian work, leadership, or personal transformation, each of us contributes to shaping the future. As a creator, artisan, and photographer since 2003, my journey has been one of evolution, adaptation, and an ongoing commitment

to bringing meaningful artistry to life.

Evolution of Industry and Personal Role

The creative industry, especially in jewellery design and photography, is constantly evolving. Trends, consumer interests, and technological advancements drive change, requiring artists like myself to stay adaptable and inspired. My work is not only influenced by aesthetics but also by deeper cultural and emotional connections that resonate with people. Understanding and anticipating what clients desire is a continuous process that involves market research, artistic experimentation, and personal intuition

For me, staying ahead means blending tradition with innovation While I cherish classic craftsmanship, I also embrace modern techniques, ensuring that my designs remain fresh, exciting, and relevant The beauty of creativity is that it never stands still; it grows with us. I am constantly learning, drawing inspiration from global cultures, personal experiences, and the everchanging landscape of human

expression

Personal and Professional Choices in Shaping Impact

Every choice we make has a

ripple effect, whether in our personal lives or our professional endeavours My business is deeply intertwined with my personal values of compassion, authenticity, and a commitment to meaningful artistry. The way I engage with my clients, the effort I put into crafting my designs, and even the way I present my photography all stem from an intention to create something that resonates on a deeper level

A pivotal moment in my personal and professional growth was my time spent in forums with EO Queensland (Entrepreneurs' Organization Queensland) Over the course of 12 months, I learned the value of offering experiences rather than unsolicited advice. This shift in communication has profoundly changed my interactions, both personally and professionally. Instead of dictating what others should do, I share my own journey and lessons, allowing others to extract value in a way that is meaningful to them This approach fosters open dialogue, deeper connections, and more constructive conversations

Additionally, my upbringing played a crucial role in shaping my worldview My father never imposed his beliefs or advice upon me; instead, he allowed me to navigate my own path, learning from both successes and mistakes This philosophy has greatly influenced how I engage with others and how I approach challenges It has instilled in me a belief that the most valuable lessons come from experience rather than directives

Lessons from the Past for a Better Future

Culture is a powerful force in shaping the world we create. It dictates fashion, art, music, and even the way we interact with one another The digital age has amplified cultural exchange, allowing ideas to spread faster than ever before. Social media, in particular, plays a significant role in shaping trends and influencing the younger generation While it provides a platform for creativity and selfexpression, it also creates pressures that are not always healthy or constructive

Technology, too, has revolutionised the creative industry. From digital design tools to online marketplaces, artists have more opportunities than ever to showcase their work globally. However, with these advancements comes the challenge of maintaining authenticity in an era of mass production and instant gratification Striking a balance between embracing technology and preserving traditional craftsmanship is essential for sustaining the integrity of creative work

Global events also shape the world we are building Economic shifts, climate change, and social movements all influence the direction of industries and the values of societies. As a business owner and artist, I believe it is our responsibility to adapt with mindfulness, ensuring that our contributions align with a future that prioritises compassion, sustainability, and inclusivity

History teaches us valuable lessons about resilience, innovation, and the consequences of our actions While mistakes are inevitable, learning from them is what drives progress. Leaders, artists, and everyday individuals all have the power to shape a more compassionate and forward-thinking world

Strong leadership is not about authority but about guidance, support, and encouragement The world needs leaders who uplift others, who nurture potential, and who understand that success is not measured solely by personal gain but by the impact we have on others

On a personal level, I strive to lead with kindness The practice of empathy, understanding, and non-judgmental support is of the utmost importance. The world can often be a harsh place, but small acts of compassion can create waves of positive change

I hold onto the hope that the future will be bright for the next generation, including my stepchildren My wish is for them to inherit a world that is not only beautiful but also safe, nurturing, and full of possibilities. While perfection may be unattainable, progress is always within reach Every day, I choose to contribute to a world that values artistry, human connection, and thoughtful innovation.

To some, the idea of "world peace" may sound like a cliché, but to me, it represents the ultimate goal of a world where people support each other, learn from their mistakes, and create with a sense of purpose The world we create starts with us, and every choice, every action, and every creation brings us one step closer to the future we envision

USA Today Bestselling

Author C.D. Gorri Interviews

Based in Chicago, Illinois, Marsha Casper Cook is an award-winning American author, scriptwriter, and writing coach Marsha Cook has 25 years of experience in the writing industry with 14 books, five of which are children’s and 11 feature-length screenplays. Her engaging stories and relatable characters have captured readers’ hearts worldwide, and she continues to inspire and entertain with her work

How important is it for you to write stories about curvy sexy smart characters? What was the deciding factor for your decision.

The first thing I was told about writing was that I needed to write what I know Well, if you look at my catalog, you will see I write Paranormal

Romance and Urban Fantasy, with some mystery, suspense, and comedy mixed in Writing what I know is difficult since my subjects usually pertain to shapeshifting main characters who wield magic among other things

I was a great reader as a child, teenager- and I still am as a forty something author, and one of the things I lamented often in my youth was the lack of representation in the fantasy or romance novels I read Body positivity is a hot topic these days- who knew I was trendy, right? And I have been writing curvy characters since the beginning Why?

Because I am a plus sized, or what I like to call, a pleasure to hug fluffy chick

In all seriousness, I enjoy writing characters of all shapes and sizes, but especially curvy women because I think the Romance Novel industry needs diversity in their heroines It’s what I want to read, and it is what I know, so writing it was an easy decision

My characters experience all the second guessing and moments of low esteem followed by what I hope are triumphant scenes of serious confidence, grit, and sass that I believe anyone, regardless of shape, size, gender, and all the other good stuff that make us ourselves, can identify with

My heroines are almost always curvy, smart, sexy, and they’ve got oodles of attitude and a lifetime’s supply of love for the lucky hero (or heroes) who win their hearts

How do you choose the covers for your books?

Because of the lack of readily available stock images featuring curvy women with muscular men, as are featured in my Paranormal Romance novels, and in order to appease my own inner critic, I had to actually learn graphic design to create the kinds of covers I needed in order to try and represent my female main characters

Part of my job is to try to represent what is between the pages on the covers, and in the beginning of my career I actually had quite the backlash from readers who wanted me to have covers that reflected the characters I had written.

This was not easy, let me tell you! Very recently, I was lucky to find a Daz 3D artist who takes commissions and have had several rendered images of males who were big and muscular to

represent my Shifters, and females who were

curvy and not the model status quo, to

represent my heroines. It has been an adventure, but I am loving it

I am working on utilizing the commissioned artwork to create new covers for my recently

rebooted Maverick Pride Tales Each story features one couple and is their journey to a

happy ever after. The series features a

matchmaking witch called Uncle Uzzi and fated

mate tropes It is steamy, adventurous, fun, and

as always, ends with a satisfying conclusion

What type of help could you use from photographers for you to represent the lovely curvy woman for your covers?

This is a fantastic question and, please, to all of you wonderful photographers and gorgeous curvy models out there, we need you Authors like me who choose to write about women of all shapes, sizes, colors, genders, orientations, etc… need stock photos (desperately) or even exclusive photos featuring gorgeous curvy women so we can use them on our covers

The world is chock full of people and we don’t all look alike It is what makes life interesting and breathtaking

As an author, I get to choose my characters descriptions, and I do, with great care It would be phenomenal if there were photogs and models willing to create images that would be accessible to indie authors like me who would love to feature beautiful curvy women, and for me especially, I love couples images I write big muscular Shifter males with their curvy fated mates, and unfortunately, it is almost impossible to find images with men and women matching those descriptors

So, if you are reading this and you are a model or a photographer, I can promise you there is a market, and should you decide to fill it, well, I for one, would be ecstatic!

How do you choose the mates for your fabulous strong full-figured woman in anticipation of the steamy sex scene in your stories?

Typically, when I am plotting out a series, I do about 85% of the work in my head With over 120 books out and several series bundled inside the same universe, I have a good feel for the parameters of that world That allows me to spend a lot of time thinking about which supernatural creature I want to tackle in whatever series I am working on

My heroines are not all human, some of them are supernaturals too, but one thing remains the same

They are almost all undoubtedly curvy

females who are smart, kicka$$, and strong

willed. I try my best to match my heroines with

males who go beyond the usual devoted, loyal, gorgeous, and dedicated tropes that

Paranormal Romances often demand. Do not

get me wrong, I love all those things, and they

are a must, but I also need my male main

characters to lust after their mates Desire is an enormous element in composing a true fated mate love scenario. The absolute

splendor of my MCs love is celebrated in their

sexual encounters In other words, these hot

guys desire their mates and only their mates like no other. She is their ultimate ideal, the perfect match for them in terms of wit, humor, values, and physical needs

How has your background influenced your writing?

I don’t know if anyone can help but be influenced one way or other by their backgrounds For me, I was one of the lucky ones blessed with a hardworking and loving family who supported me in all my endeavors.

Wanting to write since I was in 3rd grade, it

was difficult knowing what you wanted to do when everyone around you looked at you like you were crazy. But they loved me and, ultimately, they were fine with it. The thing that they, and perhaps I, did not realize at the time was that by having a grandmother who worked beside her husband to help run their bakery business, and my own mother and sisters who ran my mother’s bread business, my father’s delicatessen, and various other small business throughout their lifetimes, I saw strong, smart, ambitious women in leadership roles, doing jobs that, at the time, were reserved for men I was in constant awe of my parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and sisters, but mostly especially, the women because they were even better than the men at the business side of running their own entrepreneurial efforts.

I was taught to work for what you want, and that’s what I do and what I try to instill in my own children In this, as in all, businesses work ethic is super important

How important is it to you to write the happily ever after ending?

Ah, this is a great question. I write Romance.

Not just any Romance, but Paranormal and Urban Fantasy Romance To me, that means comedy, as in, happy endings for all

Being an author is fabulous for the following reason, if for nothing else, I get to write what I want I don’t like sad I don’t like to feel sad I don’t want to watch it or read it. Sometimes, yeah, I know, people want the ugly cry I understand, I do But I want to smile I want to laugh and sigh and oooh and aaaah

So, that’s what I write, or do my best to

What advice would you give to authors about starting their career as a writer as far as using their writing skills as a business rather than just a hobby?

run a business, you need to figure out

what makes money and what doesn’t.

Well, you nailed it on the head with the question For anyone starting, first, congrats Writing anything and allowing people to read takes big brass bazonkas, and you deserve a pat on the back

Now, comes the tough part Why are you writing? Is it for yourself? Do you want your family or friends to see what you can do? Or is this your career?

There is a huge difference between the person who wants to be an author to use it as a conversational piece, and someone who wants to give writing for a living a go This is a job for those of us who are thick-skinned, hardworking, and motivated Indie authors are not just writers We are editors, cover designers, formatters, publicists, social media marketers, web developers, accountants, and a million other things Yes, you can hire people to fill in any of those items, but that takes money and at some point, when you

Because, yes, while you are an artist, you

are also a professional, and professionals get paid.

My advice is to write all the time. Writing is a

craft and the more you use it the better you

get After that, read Read Read Read Everything you can about your specific genre and how and what people, other authors preferably, are doing to succeed.

Set up your social media accounts, get

active in the indie author community, reach out to other authors and book clubs. Social networking is extremely important and will take up a considerable amount of your time I suggest developing a schedule for writing and marketing and sticking to it.

Remember, running any business takes work Indie authoring does not end when you finish the book. But if you stuck with me this entire article, you can definitely do it!

I want to thank Marsha for taking the time to chat with me.

Being an author is the only thing I have ever wanted to do, and I am fortunate that I get to realize my dreams with the support of my family, my wonderful readers, and other authors, bloggers, and publishers in the indie community I have been reading romance novels since I was about twelve years old My journey began with F

GAYLENE HANSEN

Hello and welcome, Gaylene.

After researching you and your work, your passion

clearly stands out You love nurturing and connecting back the sacred bond of the infant, their mother, father, and family and preventing and healing separation trauma. I also love what your website “Nurturing

Naturally” says

“Nurturing Naturally coaching guides you in understanding and resolving your birth experiences, life experiences, health concerns and feelings, so you can connect with yourself and with others, to become the person you want to be” You started your career in nursing and midwifery, then went on a spiritual journey into alternative therapies

Could we start at the beginning? I know that you have left the nursing field, but what led you first into midwifery, nursing, and neonatal nursing?

I wanted to be a nurse since the age of five I just knew I wanted to go into nursing A couple of years after becoming a registered nurse, I knew I was going to go into midwifery as well. Our nursing training included training as maternity nurses Since then, I've had a lot of nursing experience, including several years teaching student nurses (mostly Obstetrics), seven years in intensive care, and coronary care, though during this time I kept going back for my baby ‘fix’ I couldn’t keep away from this area I loved so much, and I had already worked in it for many years before going to intensive care. My time working in the emergency department slotted around my nursing shifts in the Special Care Baby Unit I’ve been working for 25 years and specialised in neonates and their families, including midwifery

You talked about your journey to your passion for babies and how to help babies, mothers with healing following a wakeup call that you experienced in 2011. That's when you rekindled your spiritual journey and it led down the path of the alternative and complimentary health profession. Can you explain a little bit about this time in your life?

Well, I was getting stressed. We don't like to admit that at the time, and we don't recognise it, but it's that little voice that says to you, something's not quite right It gets a bit louder And then much louder if we are not paying attention. Then I started reacting to fluorescent lights. I was working in the emergency department as well, working shifts around my neonatal work So, there were a lot of fluorescent lights, especially in the emergency department, and my body said, "You're not doing this anymore. I am going to shut you down” Well, I stopped, and it took about three months before I was working again, but not back into the emergency side, just where I belonged - my neonatal nursing.

But it's that gift, and I see when I'm working with people, helping them make sense of their birth experiences and other health concerns That something we can't recognise at the time as we’re stuck in this moment, but wow, for me, that wake-up call was just such a gift I started learning, looking from one thing to the next - how our mind works, body talk, meditation, Reiki and more Then I discovered METAHealth, and I knew I had found what I was looking for It underpins everything for me That was back in 2014 when I trained as a practitioner, and during our training, I learnt about the emotion freedom technique And I got to experience Matrix Reimprinting, which blew me away, and I thought, I have to learn that I always knew, too, that I'd be training in Matrix Birth Reimprinting Since then, I've furthered the EFT training, extending this knowledge and working with trauma

Another beautiful area I recently studied is Grace Filled Living The work of Lori Leyden When we feel separate from ourselves and it stirs us up, when we can get to that point and come back to our heart we can find moments of surrender, a stillness I guess it's like a journey of finding yourself And when you allow yourself to feel into your heart and quietly just be, you can tune in with your true person that's within, and the answers are all in there It's amazing how stress can be the pivotal point for so many people to go, hang on, let me just take a pause right now and ask, is this where I want to be? Am I on the right road, or do I need a slight or large detour? It sounds like you loved the baby side of things and the helping mothers, but maybe not so much in the emergency room or the conventional Western medical world

I did love it all for a long while That's the challenge when you're learning new information and you're looking to attach it to something that you already know It was just so new back in 2014, and I was very excited I thought, why don't we know this information? Where has this been? Back in my early midwifery days, when I was teaching students, I used to say, "It doesn't have to be that way." There was this feeling underneath, there was something else I had a book called Spiritual Midwifery; I just loved it I shared with students and home birth books as well How birth can be gentle, loving, nurturing for mother, father and baby, but they didn’t get to see it in the medicalised obstetric world at the time I had my first child at home My second child was born in a hospital, but each was a beautiful experience For me, it was about keep

of subconscious behaviour’s we get stuck on over our life

Meta Consciousness is involved with taking charge of your healing, your conscious plan of action, understanding the beliefs you are running and what you made an experience mean. And that's where we can bring in Matrix Reimprinting when we go back to any experience With Matrix Birth Reimprinting, we can work with trauma and pre-conscious memories Babies are conscious beings from the moment they begin, from conception I've seen it so many times in working in the Matrix and with sick and premature babies to what they need and what they can teach us When working with clients, we can go back to their time in utero, their birth, their younger child, or a week ago Any time in our lives

You mentioned trauma. Why is it important to release trauma? And why is it important for the cohesion in the family?

When we have something that's traumatic (big or small), often something somebody said to us or what we thought in a situation, it relates back to earlier memories, frequently the big ones, like I'm not good enough, smart enough.… If our conscious mind didn't sort it out our body manifests it. This is the beauty of using the somatic experience within the body because we hold it somewhere

When we embody the trauma experience, it creates changes in our body tissues, and we experience symptoms Working with trauma can give us meaning and understanding When you become curious, where's the fear? It takes away or reduces that fear, so you don't stay stuck in there There's a way forward That curiosity, oh, why am I experiencing this? That kind of curiosity When we can release trauma, our perception changes We view the world differently and can feel better about ourselves. And when our body does not recognise the disease, there is no reason for it to stay For the family, when we each understand what just happened in any given situation, we are more open and receptive to one another, and we become more cohesive as we feel we belong We all need to feel loved and connected

You also touched on babies, and they almost sounded like they're our teachers What do babies teach us?

Babies teach us a lot, even the tiniest little premature baby. They have such a hold on life, especially some of the very tiny ones They have much they can show us All of us are always assessing, Am I safe, or am I unsafe? Premature babies will put their hands out in front of them if they do not feel safe So, what is this little one telling us? I am overloaded with too many stimuli What does this little one need? Well, firstly, respect for where they are at in this moment A quiet soothing voice Maybe gentle, still, ‘quiet’ hands near them When working in the baby unit, I used to put my hands around little ones a lot, guide their parents in this and teach their parents to learn what their little one needs Babies feel your energy Stroking can be very stimulating for a baby, especially if they're unwell, born early, or tiny

When you tune in with your heart, they also sense it Sometimes, for that little one, they just wanted a quiet moment They didn't want you to ignore them They're telling you something They may want to be picked up Look for the cues, the respect of asking, what do you need? What do you want? Same as working with anyone, what does that younger self need, what does that little one in utero or at their birth need? What did Mummy need? What did Daddy need? There is a sense of knowing when you tune into a little one in utero, whether it's your baby self or it's a mum tuning in with her tiny baby They're conscious all right and have all sorts of things to tell you, for example, why they didn't come ‘on time’ Fascinating how we're born

It sounds like children are so unfiltered and so true to their feeling and very connected to who they are. It seems that we build up all these facades, I guess when we're older. I love what you're saying about the imprinting, that it connects us back to our true self so that we don't have that baggage. Why do you do this work and who do you work with? This sounds just amazing

Why do I do it? I was born to do this, and I was born in a do you want to quick little story?

Yes, please.

When I was born, it was back in the time when babies were put into a nursery, I think they were there for two weeks in a nursery, in New Zealand and many countries. So, I went back to my baby self with Matrix

Birth Reimprinting She was in the nursery with a whole lot of other babies, and she was crying I, as myself now, talked to her and asked her what she needed She wanted a pink, fluffy blanket She wanted to be snuggled up. She wanted her angel to come and put her hands around her. I mentioned to you that's what I taught parents Everybody learned to have quiet, still hands Baby, feeling you, they know their mother and they know their father when they're born And their voices They have heard them for many months while in utero.

Anyway, so she just wanted gentle, loving hands Then she said she wanted her daddy to come and pick her up and put her back on skin to skin. So, we did that in the matrix. But that wasn't quite enough for her She wanted all the other dads or t

nurses to take all the other babies out and put them back on skin to skin as well Then she was okay Then

that they'd been in, I thought, don't chain it up, make it a room where families come, where t

You mentioned skin to skin. So, ho

Yeah I write quite a bit about this There are a

w

my website of skin to skin-to-skin nurturing, a series of four of them, and a few other articles relating to this For a baby in utero, the first home is in utero. For a baby, the smell of amniotic fluid, I'm not sure how they've tested this, is the same as when they are on mum’s chest, their second home, and near the Montgomery tubercles, little bumps that are around the outside of the areola of the nipple They have a scent, and babies orient themselves here with their sense of smell, which drives all their other senses. Smell goes directly to the brain pathways rather than through the amygdala, as the other senses do So, when the baby's placed here, on mum’s chest, its home, it's safe I am safe I have seen so many monitors displaying heart rate, breathing rate, and oxygen levels all settling when babies are on skin to skin (mother and father, but especially their mother)

And yes, this is where matrix birth reimprinting comes in. It's the story your younger/baby self-had. So, how we are born matters For example, if labour was induced, is that what we wanted? And as babies, little kids or throughout our lives, we can have boundary issues, especially when rushed And maybe a feeling of I'm just not ready. I didn’t get to say when I came, or I got lifted out all that time ago. And maybe it wasn't as gentle as what we wanted/needed then So sometimes trusting things, feeling into some intimacy and relationships are influenced by a belief we made when we were born, because of what we experienced. Our first relationship is with our mother. Skin to skin, even in retrospect, in Matrix Birth Reimprinting can be so healing

What have been your biggest challenges and rewards?

I think the challenges initially were how to bridge these two worlds of Western and Eastern perspectives. I admit it did take a few years until I didn't feel gagged anymore. But it's been quite a few years, now I can talk to anyone on any of this stuff So, there were the challenges there, but the rewards just totally outweigh everything I wouldn't have it any other way And thank you for the wake-up call, the gift back in 2011. My spiritual journey and need to know were always there, but it was surely activated further than

Was there anything else you'd like to add?

It's never too late to address these things of your childhood, the birth of your choice and where it might take you. The curiosity? A peacefulness? Healing something you have always felt. And where might it take you in the future? We can also go into matrix in the future as well Where can people find you?

You can find me on www nurturingnaturally nz I'm on Facebook You can find links and things that go from there to Facebook. I offer a 30 minute free online chat, to see if we resonate with each other, and want to go on a deeper journey together

A mind once sharp, now foggy and grey

Memories lost, like falling leaves each day

Faces blur, names fade from sight

But love remains, a beacon in the night

We made a journey, far and wide

From Queensland's sun to NSW's side

To be closer, to hold your hand

This home is yours, in this new land

Dad, I wish you knew, this place is dear

Where family ties and love appear

You're a great-grandfather, a legacy so grand

To little ones, who bring joy to our land

You're a grandfather, guiding with love

To your grandkids, sent from above

And to me, you're a dad, a hero true

A role model, who's always seen me through

As your son, I cherish every memory we ' ve made

The laughter, adventures, and moments we ' ve

played

And as your child, I want you to know

How much I love you, and how much you mean to me, though

My sister loves you, and so does mum too

We're grateful for you, in all we do

In moments clear, you shine so bright

A spark of joy, a glimmer of light

Though time may veil your memories past

Your spirit stays, forever to last

Hold on to love, to laughter and to tears

For in the heart, memories persevere

Behind closed doors, tears fall like rain

For the love we share, and the pain

But still we hold on, to every smile

And cherish every moment, all the while

You're home now, in every way

With us, who love you, every single day

So let me cherish every smile you bring

And hold your hand, through life's uncertain ring copyright 2025 I A

BOOK REVIEW

An exorcism had begun, soft candlelight played with black silhouettes . Ghosts of the past filtered through my inner vision as invited the many tired whispers of my Maternal ancestry to 'come, sit with me'. As I began to feel the passion of these braves women's lives, who in their own way fought against the injustice of religion, bullying and sexism. where they faced accusations of witchcraft and racism, plus the cruelty of the Patriarchy, they also fought against the snobbery of the Matriarchal society. I began to weave their stories, telling you of their amazing fortitude and strength, to entwine their stories in this book of Tapestry.

The Chantele Trilogy is more than a story. It’s a warning.

For readers who love intrigue, power, and the psychology of survival, this series delivers a heroine who is not perfect but undeniable.

THE WORLD WE CREATE

Final Reflection

The world doesn’t shape itself.

It is shaped by the mothers who stay up late rewriting history through their children. By the fathers who choose presence over power. By visionaries who build in silence while the world is busy performing. By the leaders of every gender who carry generations forward, not with titles, but with truth.

This magazine was never just about stories. It was about sovereignty. About remembering that influence without intention is noise. And that legacy is not what we leave behind, it’s what we build into the bones of the world around us

We have spoken of resilience, leadership, beauty, betrayal, healing, and hope. We have refused the polished version of progress and offered you something deeper, a mirror, a platform, a pulse.

The world we create begins in the moments we are not performing. It is created in how we speak to ourselves when no one is watching. In the choices we make when it would be easier not to care. In how we lead, protect, and pass the flame on, even with trembling hands.

To every reader, builder, parent, dreamer, and leader: Your story is not too late Your power is not too much And the future is not happening without you It’s waiting for you

This is not a conclusion, but a calibration This not be the end of an issue, but the ignition of a new era.

Because this time, we’re not just telling the story. We’re writing the system. And together, this is the world we create.
