The Eye ON DONEGAL

Development on Waterloo Place The former Bike Shop on Waterloo Place has been purchased by local plumber Trevor Bustard. The premises, which overlooks the River Eske, has a panoramic view of the castle and Donegal’s famous bridges and was previously the “Bike Shop” where Pat Boyle ran a busy shop for many years.

Talking to The Eye, Trevor said he is presently clearing out the building and hopes to create an apartment upstairs but has not finalized his plans for the ground floor yet. Options he is considering include developing it into a shop or a quaint little coffee house by the river. “This is one of my favourite streets in the town - it has such character - and my late father Norman had a great love for Waterloo Place. When I look out the window upstairs I can see the three

bridges, the castle and the churches - it is amazing. We have started to clear out the building and plan to start the project in the new year,” Trevor commented.
