was born in Ankara-Turkey, currently, live in Istanbul as a father of 2 children and husband. I worked for years as an engineer while growing my photography passion. Now, I am a self-taught freelance fine art photographer focusing on B&W long exposure seascape and landscape photography on the minimalist way. Photography is my passion for expressing myself, for seeing and showing the world in my eyes. My creations are stages surprising viewers by dynamics of clouds, water and all nature contents.

I must say that Photography has been my PASSION since 1966. Despite what goes on around me, I Sleep, Breathe, Drink and Eat photography. Daylight Long Exposure is my favourite medium. I have both formal education in Architecture and Photography. When in the late 1990s my photography became digital I continued to learn with workshops and webinars and continue to do so to keep improving. Although I have been photographing for some time, I feel the need to learn is very important.
me, the soothing power of the water to the shore brings about relaxation and silence to my soul. I also live close to The Pismo Dunes Natural Preserve where walking/photographing the dunes and observing the daily difference the wind, rain and other elements bring to the ever-moving sand.
I have been extremely lucky to have appeared in many exhibitions, publications and have received numerous Local, National and International awards.
My most favourite time to capture the Oak Trees is in the winter when some will lose most of their leaves. These magnificent trees and the strength they seem to possess always impress me.
Although my photographs may be mostly B&W, there is some colour. My subjects include daylight long exposure Landscapes and Seascapes, Oak Trees and The Pismo Dunes Natural Preserve. I am fortunate to live nearby to these majestic beauties. On occasion, I will make a long photo road trip out of state where an entirely new canvas awaits. I work in the traditional sense as well as non-traditional methods of photography using any tools available to me in the camera and computer. I still use film on occasion and will then scan the images into my computer.
The Dunes is one other location that brings tranquillity to my being. And finally, the majestic Oak Trees that I’m so very lucky to be living among and photograph.

It’s been two years since I made self-taught photography, but I’ve always evolved in the artistic world. Interested in History, music, painting, sculpture, comics, I draw my inspiration from the cauldron of culture (not only in France where I’m born) as well as from the community of contemporary Japanese photographers that I admire more than anything. I work mainly the emotional portrait, whether in colour or black and white. I nevertheless enjoy photographing everything around me.

“My name is Oksana Shkuratovska. I am a fine art portrait photographer based in Sydney, Australia. I started to explore photography at the age of 8. It was quite an exciting experience where I could see and work on the whole process from inserting the film into a camera to developing the final image in a dark room. After a long break, I’ve returned to photography again in 2017 where I found myself in portrait photography. Since that time, photography is not only what I do and what I love; it is my passion and reflection of emotion and artistic touch in every photo. My vision is to have portraits that inspire, that are simple yet extraordinary, artistic yet can be taken in the everyday environment, portraits that create a desire to own one and that bring emotions once you see yourself as an art in that portrait.

I also participated in “35awards” competition in 2017 and reached the top 10 Sydney photographers and top 10 Australian photographers (for this competition have been submitted around 257,000 photos). am a keen amateur photographer based in the east midlands the UK, and I had an interest in photography from 1997 when I was introduced into the wonders of wet printing in the darkroom, after a break of around seven years my passion was re-ignited and decided to go the digital route and giving up the darkroom. Since starting my photography again, I became very interested in the fine art long exposure genre.
